2 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: TV is fast and responsive. The picture is good.

Cons: None yet.

--Ok after owning the tv for almost a year after 1 month of use it developed a black almost unnoticable line on the tv. Then the right corner started getting dark... I contacted LG. The support was rude and I am still trying to get the warranty repair done on my TV. The repair people they refered me to seen some pictures and said the panel is going out. I haven't heard from them since. I called LG back and they gave me 3 other repair numbers which 1 did not work, 1 was not in my area and the other stated I had to bring the product to them. NOT HAPPY. I notice the tv complains that I have an HDMI mismatch NO MATTER the device I hook up whether it supports UHD Deep Color or not. I tried a different hdmi cable (Cable certified for 4k), 3 different dvd players, PS4, and my computer which has an amd fury.

Other Thoughts: Honestly I would pay a little more and go with a samsung or another more reputable brand. LG's customer service is a nightmare. I really hope I didnt waste my money on this tv.

3 out of 5 eggsRelatively ok

Pros: Crisp display, Magic Remote mostly enjoyable.

Cons: One pixel DOA, more dropping after 6 months. Redesign of Magic Remote, from 2013 model, moved the 3D button directly into the middle of selection area for volume/channel/mute/input selects (not the best designer idea of the year).. Magic Remote seems to be less responsive that prior version. Slow initial up-time for TV to display and connect to OTA broadcast and wireless connectivity. Some the apps (Netflix, in particular) seems to require frequent sign-in, even though selecting checkbox to remember ID/login.

Other Thoughts: Don't take all the cons as total negativity. I still enjoy the TV, just wish some of the features were a little smoother/faster. And, I wish the pixels weren't dropping off the grid.

4 out of 5 eggsReview for PC Enthusiasts

Pros: One of the only TVs to work at 4k 60hz and still maintain 4:4:4 sampling when connected to a PC via HDMI 2.0, and it works OOB without any tweaking(requires a GPU with HDMI 2, currently only NVIDIA 900 series). Passive 2d to 3d is a cool feature to add depth at no cost to performance. Color reproduction is good. Input latency is barely noticeable. The remote is extremely intuitive, and the settings menu is easy to navigate. Minimal light bleed. True 4k (4096x2160) is natively recognized. Color uniformity is good across the whole screen.

Cons: One stuck pixel (not worth RMA). Edge lit seems to work in zones, and on mostly black screens shows poor implementation of an already inferior technology. The pixel layer appears to have the last 3/8" border curved at the edges, and depending on the angle you are looking at the TV, you loose a few columns or rows of pixels from view.

Other Thoughts: Despite the dead pixel and edge lighting issues, the TV is still quite acceptable, and is the cheapest large format 4k display that can be used as a monitor. Throw in the 3d and it becomes a price/performance point that no other manufacturer can match.

4 out of 5 eggsNo more TV envy in stores

Pros: Smooth motion, 4K resolution, multiple inputs, good stand

Cons: 2 person assembly, stand requires a rather large space

Other Thoughts: This is the first TV I've had where I walk into a store and don't feel TV envy. This is nearly the smallest 4K/C4K TV available. Using 4K video from my Panasonic GH4, it is an impressive resolution. Input from HDMI seems good and you have to be close to see the upscaling from 1080i/1080p. Assembly wasn't difficult but it took some gymnastics. After a full three months, it's a very good TV for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsreason tv seems so slow.

Pros: in order for a 3-d tv to display right and left images it must alternate right and left images effectively halving the refresh rate. hdmi auto negotiates this and thus the tv set may be showing all input as 3d or 2d source as virtual 3d. the device or tv used may have setting to negotiate at 2-d 120hz instead of defaulting to virtual 3d at 60hz + 60 hz.

Cons: information from vendor would be nice to know if this is why it seems to be a 60hz tv to the other user

Other Thoughts: didn't buy here
