4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Great Picture, PIP is cool. Using it as a Computer monitor, Looks great hooked up through DVI, VGA isnt Bad, and I wouldn't recommend S-video. Xbox 360 looks fabulous on it.

Cons: Remote! Popped in the bats and nothing. Remote was Dead on arrival. STRONGLY recomend getting a universal remote.

Other Thoughts: Great Budget TV, Work REALLY well as a monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsA Good LCD TV

Pros: This is a great TV with the press of button I can go from playing my wii, to my xbox 360, then use my computer and no dead pixels. If your going to use as a monitor though you need a good graphics card that will allow you to controll cantrast, gamma, and brightness since the TV menu will not allow you to.

Cons: Wheres the HDMI port? There isn't one so plan on buying an adapter some day.

1 out of 5 eggsUgh...

Pros: Well, it looks nice. has a lot of ports for me to hook up a lot of things to it.

Cons: 9 dead pixels near dead center of the screen. computer looks horrible on it compared to the old 27" LCD i used, and to make matters worse, on all the channel sources, i cannot adjust the brightness, contrast, sharpness, or almost anything else. the screen is too dark and looks almost black and white, and i am completely unable to adjust the settings. it just will not let me .

Other Thoughts: i had done a lot of research on this TV on the net, and had thought it would be a good buy. this is the last time i will ever buy a TV over the internet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price.

Pros: Excellent TV/Monitor for the money. Enough inputs to choke a horse. Great picture quality. Very comparable to my Samsung 30" tube HDTV. The DVI and VGA inputs are a huge plus for me.

Cons: Had a dead pixel in the center of the screen within a few months. Not really a con for me, as I don't notice it unless I actually look for it.

Other Thoughts: I picked this up on Black Friday 2005 @ Cxxxuit for $xxx after rebates. It's still an awesome deal a year later. I'm using it as a second computer monitor until I finish remodeling the bedroom.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: No dead pixels at all! I was so excited after examining the TV and finding none at all. Was a little scared b/c I read some reviews saying that the TV had some scratches on it and a few dead pixels. My TV came in excellent condition. Only problem was the top cover of the TV was pushed out a little, but I pushed it in with a little force and popped it back in.

Cons: None so far. I only had it for a day...Hopefully it'll last me a while.

3 out of 5 eggsRemote iffy but TV functions well

Pros: Same as previous post. Price, size and number of inputs is great. Picture is good, speakers are functional but I never expected great sound out of any set without a seperate surround system.
I am posting another review incase someone else has the same experience. Olevia's troubleshooting in the manual and online is a joke.

Cons: Remote control made an otherwise great tv a headache out of the box. I eventually did get it to work but it has to be point blank range. I did all the obvious and am using fresh batteries. Right in the manual it says to try a univeral remote if it will not work...now that is a vote of confidence for Olevia.
I still can't find a code with my Dirrect TV reciever for Olevia or Syntax. The remote did not come programmed for the set...maybe it looses it when batteries are removed. The code for this set is 0001 if you need to do that. Calling Olevia is a joke. Not even a hold message, tech line just kept ringing. I pray I do not have to do a warranty claim after all the horror stories I have found online while searching for a remote control solution.
I still find it odd that the power light goes out on the display when turned on and comes on when off...perhaps they anticipated you having to search in the dark for it...yeah right.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is fast! Orderd day after x mass, had 2 days later. I do not put the blame on Newegg for problems, but Olevia might not be your best option if you can afford better. It is a economy tv so concider you get what you pay for. Hoping for the best.

5 out of 5 eggsYou MUST see Oblivion on this.

Pros: Bright, beautiful color, very good contrast even with the luma control off, everything is clear and sharp and no oversharp edges. No washing out in very dark or bright scenes. More inputs than I know what to do with and it eats ten watts less than my 17" crt monitor. Very little motion blur and I can't detect any lag though I'm sure there's some (all hdtvs lag when upscaling / deinterlacing). It is indeed a good monitor and likes to run at 1280x720 though it can hit at least 1280x1080 before going all weird.

Cons: Adaptive luma is spazzy and seems more accurate with component input or better. DNR causes some detail loss. Video card can't put it in standby. Remote too spaced out. Nothing really horrible to report just minor quirks.

Other Thoughts: No dead pixels! I checked with a magnifying glass even. :D
Does standard def. cable better than my friend's 42" plasma set and FAR better than my 9yr old 19" crt. Svideo is clear too. I CANNOT WAIT to wave a Wiimote at this. 360 will be beautiful I'm sure. Shadow of the Collossus finally gives me the proper amount of vertigo, I can see what I'm doing in dark scenes, and whites don't bleed and wash out. HAPPY <3
