1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Cons: Blue lamp comes on but that was it..
Unit is DEAD on Arrival ! Should have known better...Called manufacture customer service (all day event it seemed like) Was told to fax copy of invoice and in 7-10 days I will get a call from them.. Another 2 weeks after that to get a replacement. Gee isn't that nice! Anyway, Love Newegg but hate this product!

Other Thoughts: Its easy to see why these units are sold at this price point.. In checking around they have a high return rate... The box was in mint condition, but the only thing that works is the blue lamp on the front. No picture, no sound. NOTHING ! I do feel a bit ripped off after being told it will be about 3 weeks to get another unit which is poor.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't beat it!

Pros: I utilize just about every port this LCD offers and it has performed beautifully! I run a PC through the VGA port, HD DVD through the HDMI, Cable through the tuner, TiVO through the composite, VCR through the S-video, Satellite HDTV through the component, etc. The black level is adequate for great picture and the refresh rate eliminates "trails" and blurring when there is fast movement on the screen. A great performing set for the money, no doubt about it. And mine is a re-certified unit making it all that much more incredible!

Cons: The on-screen menu is bulky and difficult to navigate. Fortunately, you really only have to mess with it once when you are setting up, and even then it is optional for most users. My only other complaint is the remote. It's junk. Cheap material used to make it, it barely works and has slow response from LCD if any. I was getting annoyed with it and figured I'd program one of my other remotes to operate it, right? Wrong. The Olevias have some sort of strange remote code that most universal remotes don't have. I got over it because I really only use the remote to turn the TV on/off and change sources.

Other Thoughts: If you're in the market for this size LCD HDTV, you're an idiot if you don't buy this one. For the money, it's an amazing unit. You can spend twice as much for a little more quality, but I won't be twice as happy.

4 out of 5 eggsHey man!!

Pros: I use this Monitor as a tv, I hooked it up to my new HD cable box amd its great I love the picture. There's no ghosting and the images are crisp and clean. Love the price. For the Monies paid its worth it.

Cons: I wouldn't have this as my main tv- I do now and Im hoping to change that ASAP. Why? Two things............
1.there is an annoying high-pitched noise that is emitted from the Tv when its turned off. Its so annoying that it makes my wife and I crazy and I have to unplug the set to make it go away.
2. the light- the bright blue light that is so so so so bright that it lights up my living room and serves as a deccent night light its obnoxious to say the least. I have found a cure- well placed black testor model paint and a fine brush Viola! its almost gone... I stress almost.

Other Thoughts: still after those two things its a good set.
I don't know if all the sets give off the high pitched noise - mine sorry to say does.
this is going to make a good second bedroom set soon, I hope.

2 out of 5 eggsDefective Unit

Pros: The picture quality of the TV is brilliant for the price.

Cons: The casing of the tv is cheap, the remote is cheap. After having the TV for a couple of months, it started to have problems. The TV would power off itself. I would not be able power on the TV. I'll have to wait a whole day to be able to power it back on.Olevia customer support is the worst customer support I have ever experienced. When calling customer support the hold times are ridiculous. I sent in my unit for a replacement and got a repair instead. After they made their so-called repair, they shipped the unit back to me. The unit has the same problem and was never repaired. Now I have to send the unit back for another repair because replacement is not an option at the moment, I was told.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend going with another brand. Unless this is all you can afford, and want to take the risk with a cheap quality brand and the worst customer support experience.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome tv

Pros: i bought this tv at c**p U*a
when it was on sale for xxx$
doing research on it i found it uses the same screen and the lg series just with out all the bells i use it for my pc monitor and to watch tv and dvds i can find no faults with it, hdtv looks awesome straight from the cable i got more than i paid for
the lcd screen is really awesome
if you want a solid tv at a great price this is the one

Cons: only 2 that i can see
1 no optical digital but hdmi is supposed to run the sound anyways
2 no resolution 1900x1080
but then i have yet to buy a dvd at this resolution so it doesnt really bother me

having said that

i wasnt willing to pay many 1000$ of dollars to get a lcd with that i am so very happy that i did decide to buy the olevia

Other Thoughts: i was quiet suprised to see how big a 32 inch widescreen was since it replaced a 19 inch lcd
and i do not get any lagg or ghosting in my video games its all lightning quick and i run it trhough vga connector
and i mean the response is lighting quick i am very pleased with the unit and will keep it till a 1900x1080 with digital connectors matches the price (xxx$)

Cons: Would have rated a zero if I could. Syntax-Brillian customer service is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. Product quality is poor.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value

Pros: An amazing value, under $600 shipped to your door! Picture quality is pretty good in regular tuner mode and phenomenal in HD. Has enough inputs for me as this is my bedroom TV. Speakers are ideal for small rooms. Black TVs are the norm now but the silver with side speakers looks really good on the wall.

Cons: As mentioned in other reviews the remote is horrible. Buy the Sony RM-VL600 for under $25 and control everything you have.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good for the price

Pros: Very good quality picture for the price. Easy setup and go. For me, I would not buy a more expensive one as this does just fine for HDTV viewing, DVD viewing, and Xbox 360 HD gaming.

Cons: Really bright blue "standby" light is slightly annoying when the TV is off, I placed an equal sized piece of black electrical tape over the light and no one even notices. My Comcast remote doesnt have Olevia as an option to program the biggie.

4 out of 5 eggsBargain bin

Pros: Great price for a 32" LCD. Good picture most of the time(cons). Loud speakers.

Cons: Speakers- No bass, if you adjust bass, sounds like garbage.
Picture- Im a gamer, I baught this for my 360 and PS3. If you pause your game and walk away your picture becomes destorted. You have to shut off the tv and turn it back on.
Light-There is the most annoying power button light**This stays on when the tv is off**thus making your dark room into day. Very agrivating when trying to sleep.
Just not enough new-age connections.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for, but all in all it does the job and im happy for that
