It's an interesting race: even as they develop DLP and OLED screens, they continue to improve the older technologies as well. As they're all compatible, the winner is you, the consumer!

Fast (4ms), high contrast (10,000:1 dynamic contrast), wide viewing angle (176° vertical and horizontal), and multiple resolutions (480 i/p, 720p, 1080i/p) make watching this LCD TV a joy, while NTSC, ATSC and QAM tuners mean years of protection from obsolescence. And multiple input connectors give you options for your video devices: an RS-232 port, HDMI, component video and composite video. And at 65", even Captain Picard would be pleased. (Translation: it's huge.)

Competing technologies mean competitive prices, so shop and compare right now. We think you'll like what you see once you're done!

Pros: Huge set, Easy setup, Lots of connections

Cons: Like others have said, Its warm while on. It has a very poor speakers, but if you have a TV this big you should allready have a home theater system or looking to get one.

Other Thoughts: The plastic pakaging that was covering the base was installed before the TV was placed on it and wraped up. Requiring dissasemly of the base from the TV to clean it all up. And its heavy! needs Two to remove from base then one to clean up the plastic.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Big, bright picture, lots of inputs, good viewing angle range, nice HD quality.

Cons: Interlace modes have fuzzy artifacts around motion, contrast tends to highlight image compression.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a conference room at work, and am not disappointed. This thing is big but skinny, and delivers reasonable picture quality.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful

Pros: This thing is big and beautiful!! Did I mention its big?!?! Picture is stunning. I'm seeing details I never saw before. I've had no issues with heat or smell that were mentioned by other reviewers.

Cons: It's all dependent on the signal/recording coming in. If the equipment used to record the program isn't top notch, then you can't expect it to look good. If the latest technology was used to record the program it will leave you in awe.

Other Thoughts: Newegg delivers once again!

5 out of 5 eggsSharp Aquos 65"

Pros: Review with 3 stars is referring to a Samsung TV not a Sharp-very misleading for Sharp. Helped a friend purchase the Sharp Aquos 65"-beautiful picture and no problems since purchase in Feb-has received many compliments on this TV.

Cons: You can notice heat coming from unit if you get close to it

Pros: Sweet set, it's got great color and tone, smooth action. Loads of connections, "all auto-sensed"--- setup is simple.

Cons: This baby could heat your entire house. Even when it's off it's still very warm.

Other Thoughts: Get agood surge protector and turn off all power when you're not watching. Search for the same specs any where you want, NEWEGG beats them. I ordered mine on a Thursday and AIT called Monday to deliver. HAH! beat that if you can.
NEWEGG's service and prices, nice people to deal with, keeps me coming back.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Large screen, narrow bezel and narrow depth.

Cons: Horizontal banding and some verticle uneveness visible on moving high key scenes.

Other Thoughts: 1st one replaced by Samsung for banding and mottling in darks areas. 2nd one is better. Living with banding but feel for $6000 it should not have this problem.
