Cons: -Internal speakers (but honestly, if you buy a 46'' tv, you've got to big thinking about an external audio source)

Other Thoughts: -For $699, I don't think there's a better deal out there. It's a fairly large TV and great quality as well. If you're on the fence, I hope this review helps convince you that it's definitely worth taking the plunge for.

Pros: What I saw between flickers looked great

Cons: Out of the package constant flickering and firmware wouldn't update
It sounded like a bug zapper and the screen would flicker brighter

Other Thoughts: Going to try to return for new tv hopefully this one won't be messed up

Pros: 1080P is great (specific viewing distance recommended), Blu Ray, Cable TV, PC Games, great. Assignable PC audio HDMI or VGA. With 120 Hz option less blur than most 60 Hz models. It'll also do 60 Hz and 24 Hz if you want. Active contrast, video to film enhancement options. All connectivity, settings and options are more than I could ask for. Black blacks. Excellent LCD HDTV so far since Black Friday 2009.

Cons: None, so far.
All LCD HDTV built in audio speakers and amps could be better, but we all know that, that's why I don't use the HDTV audio. Run an AVR HT set up.

Other Thoughts: I run Cable TV, Blu Ray & other sources thru a Yamaha RXV-3900. All digital and all analog sources are up res'ed to 1080P with the Yamaha AVR. This produces some of the best looking video cause the 3900 uses a very good ABT video chip. Also use Polk Audio CS2, 2 - Monitor 70's, 4 - Monitor 30's, 2 - PSW 505 Subwoofer's. Excellent Home Theater set up for a great price. ALL FROM NEWEGG.
Newegg's customer service is great. Any and all issues, only a few I’ve had for the last 9 years have been addressed immediately and to my satisfaction 100%. Excellent job, Newegg staff.

I put a no lemon 5 yr warranty on LCD for a few extra bucks. It either works for 5 years or I get 100% of my money back. Not everyone likes extended warranties but they have paid off for me big time.

Pros: cheap price, 1080p, 120hz, turns on

Cons: no sound from right speaker if setting switched to output speaker only; everything about the tv and the remote is cheap feeling and does not match the quality of Aquos line of Sharp, this is like a rebranded no name tv

Other Thoughts: not sure if this is the tv's poor design but I can't tune channels without having to type in exact channel numbers or set on favorite for HD QAM in the 600's. I have tried adding them and auto searching it just doesn't add any channels that high. So everytime I want to watch HD channels I have to look up the numbers each channels is on to watch them.

Pros: This is a very nice HDTV for OTA programming as well as connectivity to my HTPC. The sound is a bit weak as others have mentioned, but no crackling noise -- perhaps the speakers need to be broke-in before cranking the volume?

Cons: For the price I paid (Black Friday special) I have no complaints.

Other Thoughts: I just upgraded the firmware on my set using a USB memory card. Drivers are available on sharpusa.com. Just extract the single file from the ZIP to the USB device and plug it in -- probably requires a FAT32 format to read though. My HDTV purchased from NewEgg uses the S-series firmware. Upgrade worked flawlessly and now have additional menu options!

Pros: Viewing angels on this display are superb. I sit off to the side viewing this set and it doesn't take from the display at all. The piano black finish makes it look very nice. I love the matte finish on the screen itself for reducing glare from windows. Picture is "SHARP" as it should be and PS3 games look stella right out of the box.

Cons: The power save feature is annoying as well as the dynamic contrast dimming and brightening the screen. Make sure you turn those features off. Speakers are weak but I didn't get any crackling noise like others have. The TV manual is crud its just a folded up piece of paper and I think the remote could have been more dynamic.

Other Thoughts: I paid 7bills well worth the dough.. Would I pay 1k+ for this set? NO not worth the advertised price on Newegg

Pros: Big, great price during the sale, lots of inputs, relatively thin bezel, 120 Hz, built in speakers are pretty good (mine don't crackle), bright screen, very good viewing angle, colors look good.
Delivered super fast from Newegg. Shipped safely in 2 boxes. Stand is sturdy.
The blacks on this TV seem very good to me. No light bleeding at all. The only thing I have to compare it to is a 28" Hanns G LCD monitor and the light bleed and black levels on this are way way better than that.

Cons: Sometimes the automatic brightness feature acts a little strange. It doesn't have enough of a tolerance so it will oscillate between 2 levels. It is possible to shut off the notifications but sometimes it's noticeable that the level is changing anyway.
One stuck pixel at the top of the screen. Hardly noticeable unless the screen is black.

Other Thoughts: As other reviewers have mentioned, when using a PC DVI to HDMI connection, reduce the overscanning on your video card settings to fix the image on the screen.
Not that it's a big deal but I don't think an instruction manual was included in my box.

Pros: -Price, when you get it on sale

Cons: -Price, when its not on sale
-Bad pixel response time (gray-to-gray/black-to-gray)
-The OPC feature is useless

*PRICE: There is a reason why THIS particular TV is constantly going on sale online and in stores; because thats what its truly worth.

*PIXEL RESPONSE TIME: I have not seen an LCD with pixel response time this bad in a number of years. Its very noticeable in games but only mildly noticeable when watching TV/movies. You get used to it after gaming for a while but your still constantly reminded of its presence. It was a disappointing thing to see because I had thought technology had all but abolished this annoying little LCD downfall. Which leads me to believe the monitor used in this TV is a little older and cheaper.

*OPC: OPC is worthless, all it does is dim the back-light in the TV to save power. The problem is that it severely compromises the quality of the picture; keep it turned off.

Other Thoughts: -Remote is decent, easy to use and navigate with, but nothing about it will make you want to use it over your current universal or cable/satellite remote.

-After some tweaking i was able to get a picture with some really nice rich color, that I am very pleased with... then i play a video game and notice the color-to-color pixel response time.

CLOSING:
-This is a decent TV for average level users looking to enter the HD scene on a budget (when its on sale). But if your any kind of a videophile or hardcore gamer, this may not be the diamond in the rough you are looking for.

-I wanted to give it 2/5 eggs because I find the Suggested Retail Price to be way to high, but prices are variable so I gave it 3/5 eggs because price aside as a TV its pretty average.

Pros: Had this set for about 2 weeks and so far so good. It's huge! Fills up my living room nicely. I like that it has buttons on the right side. Connected WDLive, xbox360 and PS3 via the hdmi. I'm pleased with the picture quality. Even OTA HD channels look great.

This is my first HDTV, I'm obviously still spinning.

Cons: The only thing wrong, and it's a small nitpick, is the remote. the channel/volume controls are in a weird spot. For me anyway. Also it doesn't feel right in your hand.. Still getting used to it, maybe.

Also I promptly turned off the 120 Hz Fine Motion Enhance feature. Don't watch much sports anyway and I was getting headaches.

Other Thoughts: I should have ordered two of these bad boys during the BlackFriday sale instead of just one.

Pros: This TV has an excellent picture. I setup the TV to just pick up the regular local digital channels and the picture was crisp and clear.

Cons: The OPC function really didn't make a difference when it was active (turned it off), and the sound coming from the speakers are somewhat low when the volume is set to max compared to other TV sets.

Other Thoughts: Bought the TV during Black Friday for 699, but even at its current price of 1,500 it is still a really good buy!
