The Best LCD TV Made!
- Pros: I'm using this to watch cable TV, DVD's and as a computer monitor for recorded shows via SnapStream BeyondTV. This TV has an amazingly sharp and clear picture. There are no dead pixels in my unit. It works excellent as a computer monitor at every resolution from 800x600 to 1280x1024. The screen was flicker free and did not have any overscan issues at any of the resolutions I tried. I haven't tried higher resolutions yet but I expect it will work great up to 1900x1200.
- Cons: None, except I wish there was a 60" version I could buy for another room. I'll have to wait another year or two.
- Other Thoughts: I studied every LCD and Plasma TV at the electronics stores before deciding to go with this one. The features of this TV are top of the line. I have my cable TV box connected via SVideo, my DVD player uses HDMI and my computer is connected via VGA. Setup was simple and the television's on-screen menus are very easy to use. There are lots of connections on the back and side of this TV.
Samsung LNS4695D
- Pros: When buying a LCD TV there are only two choices this and the Sharp Aquos. I personally decided to go with this one for a couple of reasons. If your not going to wall mount your TV the Samsung is the way to go with the swivel base. Second when watching a non HD channel the samsung looks better then the aquos. With only a maximum of 25 or so channels out there right now that are HD this is something that is worth thinking about. Also the contrast ratio is 6000:1 is a big difference compared to the Aquos with only 2000:1
- Cons: The one thing the Aquos has over this samsung is the 4ms response time compared to 8ms with the samsuung. Also wish that the picture in picture mode worked with something other the a coax cable, but not that big on a deal.
- Other Thoughts: When it comes down to it when you get either this samsung or the only other real option the sharp aquos you have to go to a store and look at them see which you like better, because you are splitting hairs when you talk to people at the stores. Either TV will make everyone happy.

"That shouldn't happen."
- Pros: Beautiful picture, lots of input variety, and good looking TV in general. /When it works/
- Cons: Samsung service sucks. After two weeks of having the tv, my picture began to fail, I immediately called Samsung for support. A week later I had an appointment and had a guy come to my house and replace the main board. A week after that, no picture. Two weeks later had a second tech come with the parts the first tech ordered, a replacement IR receiver and side control panel, neither of which have anything to do with NOT HAVING A PICTURE. Now I have to wait two more weeks for new parts to arrive and have them swapped out to rule out a bad screen, after which I will have to wait 4-8 weeks for a replacement tv.
- Other Thoughts: I have had this tv for a month and a half already and it's only worked properly for the first two weeks. Since then, it's been a big black void reminding me of what else I could have been doing with my money. I would not recommend buying an expensive piece of hardware like this considering NewEgg's bulk item policy. I've had no recourse except to write this negative review. It is frustrating. If I had bought this from a retail store, I could have taken it back there and gotten a new one, or had my TV fixed already.
NO COMPLAINTS
- Pros: Man to many pros to list. It's all in the specs man. Plus I got a free PS3 with this TV (THANKS NEWEGG!). really clear picture, blu-rays look amazing and so do all of my PS3 games.
- Cons: Cons.... what cons. No problems at all.
- Other Thoughts: This PS3 combo was a steal.
Extremely satisified with this set!
- Pros: Awesome crisp picture.. 0 dead / stuck pixels (yeahhhhh). Contrast is very good (and no shiny/reflective screen like on the 4665). Setup menus are intuitive and simple.
- Cons: None so far (my beef is more with the HD content and the movie studios limiting what features you can use... i.e. single frame advance was not available with the Matrix on HD-DVD!!!!!)
- Other Thoughts: Im very very satisified with this set. It was between this set, the 4661 and the 4665 and the Sharps. Most sharp I saw in the stores had stuck pixels on them and I didnt want to take a chance
.. then I have read many ppl talking about the banding issues
