Gaming Heaven with Gorgeous Samsung!
- Pros: - Gorgeous Picture Quality
- Perfect Gaming TV (Xbox 360 via VGA at 1080p, PS3 via HDMI at 1080p and even my Nintendo Wii looks great!)
- Gorgeous looking TV.
- Sound is good.
- Plenty of color tweaking options to get the images looking just right.
- Swivel stand makes it so easy to each the back of the TV. It also looks great.
- TONS of input options (3 HDMI, 2 Component, 1 VGA, 1 USB 2.0, etc.)
- Contrast ratio is awesome. I am surprised at how much color and brightness this LCD TV can pump out. You actually gotta turn it down.
- Cons: - Remote response is very slow.
- Standard Definition is average to weak (but, if you've ever seen an HDTV output an SD image, they're never that great to begin with)
- Much like the PS3, this shiny black plastic collects dust and finger prints (but it should be noted that the TV comes with its own non scratch dust cloth!)
- If you're a stickler for that perfect image, you'll have to do a lot of image tweaking to get each input to your liking, but it's worth it!
- Other Thoughts: I am so happy with this TV. I am an avid gamer, and my 360, PS3 and Wii games just look great on the TV. My boyfriend thought the TV's picture quality was perfect out of the box, but like most TVs the image is way too contrasty and bright, so you gotta work at tweaking your image, and given the slow remote, it'll take a bit of time, but once you get the images to your liking, you'll just love this TV. Movies, games and HD cable just look fantastic. And the 1080p aspect is exciting for those of us who want some future proofing (and can't wait for 1080p games!)
If you're in the market for an HD set, this one will have you bragging and your friends jealous. It's just a gorgeous TV with a gorgeous image. You can't go wrong.
Best 1080p LCD for the money!
- Pros: Full 1080p resolution, and on VGA, HDMI & Component inputs, unlike some displays that just have 1080p on the HDMI input. Gorgeous piano ultra gloss black frame with chrome accent on bottom and arround power button. Two RF inputs, both have ATSC digital tunning! PC preformance is EXCELLENT and works great with all games. Doesn't have any heat issues, swivels left and right easily and is VERY bright. I had to turn mine down to 33% brightness, and it's still too bright! Should have plenty of brightness for the future (as they dim over time). It's very thin, only about four inches deep, and the base is very stable. Audio output is high quality. The price is reasonable too! Excellent remote is included.
- Cons: Connecting a PC through the HDMI via a DVI to HDMI cable didn't work for me. The specified input for vertical frequency (refresh rate) was a non-standard 59.934 Hz. I couldn't get it to run on HDMI, so I used the VGA. Works flawless on VGA, even with cheap cables. I wouldn't suggest using HDMI for hookup to PC for that very reason.
- Other Thoughts: Compared to some other TVs of lesser quality, it has features that make it well worth the money. To be honest, it's not really expensive to begin with as LCDs have really come down in price alot. It's the best 40" LCD on the market. Computers & Electronics are my job, and I deal with alot of equipment. I've never had any trouble with Samsung products.

Picture Quality Great
- Pros: The picture quality is great. The design is very elegant and it has adequate input/output connections.
- Cons: The sound/speakers are weak and are not that great. It also don't have any bass. After having the set for about 9 months the speakers are blown. Sometimes the distortion is so bad that the dialogue is unintelligible and the little bass that it pumps distorts it even more. We never ever had the volume over 25%.
- Other Thoughts: Bringing it in for repairs would be troublesome so I just decided to hook up a pair of extra Bose computer speakers on the headphone jack and now it's like having a great tv picture quality wise with excellent sounding speakers. (Bose speakers are temporary setup until I get it a receiver/speaker combo all-in-one set.)

- Pros: Great picture quality, also game mode is amazing if you own a ps3. it is easy to mount to a wall since is vesa capable. so thanks for that samsung woot woot.!
- Cons: not much cons. only except the remote response time is pretyy bad. but everything is pretty well played out

Strange Shipping
- Pros: The LCD is great, wonderful picture, very clear, and plenty of inputs.
- Cons: AIT got the set to me, but the time it took was a little longer then one would expect. To move it from the warehouse to my house (about an hour apart) it took them 4 days.
- Other Thoughts: Using an HDMI switch to keep the cabling up to the set wall mounted worked out great. Having just the power and one hdmi going into the set makes it easy to run in a wire conduit.
