Very satisfied
- Pros: Pristine picture in High Def, very low glare even in bright room, pixel shift technology, 3 hdmi inputs, computer input,lots of adjustments and the price I paid ($1,440) made this a remarkable value.
- Cons: remote is not universal, sdtv is so-so thru Comcast cable box with HDMI connection but any of these tv's are that way because of that signal.
- Other Thoughts: The picture on this set is fantastic with an upconverting dvd player in 720p and HDTV content is awesome. Blacks are very black the brightness is unsurpassed at 30,000:1 and the viewing angle is phenominal. Didn't feel the extra money for the 1080p was worth it for me because I don't have anything that produces that signal. Was worried about burn in but haven't seen any yet and have heard it can be repaired if it does happen.
The Best Deal in Town
- Pros: 30,000:1 contrast, razor sharp, great colors, handsome bezel, 720P indistinguishable from 1080P at 50" size from more than 3 feet away.
- Cons: Speakers are barely tolerable. Anything more than normal volume and the warble and complain.
- Other Thoughts: I compared this set with the 1080P version right next to it using the same HDMI Blu-Ray source. I could see no difference at 4 feet away and I have very good sight. I could not be happier with this TV with the exception of the speakers (but I use the home theater for all sound).

Price Increase
- Pros: Great looking TV. I was ready to buy it.
- Cons: Price increased by $600
- Other Thoughts: I have been looking at this TV for a while and was all set to purchase when I notice it went from $999 to $899 to $1499. Guess I'll wait another month or two.
plasma 720p
- Pros: i saw this TV at Best Buy and could not tell it wasn't 1080p. I wanted to get a 1080p plasma but my wife would only go so far with the money. I ordered this TV from NewEgg and could not be happier with it. Fast shipping great picture. Lots of control over settings. Did I say GREAT picture. Don't be on the fence with this one. Just buy it.

decent bang for buck
- Pros: I got this on sale for $1000, so I can't complain about that. Sleek style and beautiful picture.
- Cons: Sound quality sucks. There were two tiny 3 inch 10 watt speakers that started to crackle after a few days for certain frequencies. Also, I occasionally get a robotic pitch after watching for a while. It fixes itself when you change the channel, but annoying nonetheless.
- Other Thoughts: This tv is great if you have or are planning to get surround sound, otherwise you'll be very frustrated.
