4 out of 5 eggsDecent TV for the price!

Pros: No problems in the 6 months I've owned it. No anomalies as of yet. Decent picture (720p vs. 1020p really doesn't matter when you're talking a 26" screen). It's a bargain for the price.

Cons: None really. Makes a great extra TV for the bedroom.

Other Thoughts: No problems yet, though I've had difficulty with the 37" version. That review is coming next...

5 out of 5 eggsbest TV in the house

Pros: very good picture, QAM built in, several video modes, good audio quality

Cons: a little pricey, no built-in DVD player, small vertical viewing angle (completely taken care of by installing a tilting wallmount), doesn't feed my dog

Other Thoughts: with the Peerless wallmount, this TV is easily the best one in the house. Shows "all" clearQAM channels without a box in glorious 480i or 1080i (its max - 720p).

4 out of 5 eggsups and downs

Pros: Lots of inputs. Nice design. Nice color reproduction.

Cons: Even after careful calibration, the contrast/darks still seem shallow to me. I can also say the same for the 40" version of this TV, which I bought a year ago. On the other hand, I'm a graphic designer by trade so I may be overly sensitive to these things. I know LCDs aren't renowned for their color reproduction and contrast accuracy, but I really thought I it would be a bit better for the price I paid. My 22" LCD PC monitor (LG) crushes this thing as far colors and contrast are concerned.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as an anniversary present. Honestly, my girlfriend could not care less about the technical performance of this unit, but she did like the way it looks, and it's easy to mount on the wall using the $20 Ikea TV mount, leaving more room for tabletop area for her makeup, knicknacks and who knows know what else she has laying around. My point is if aesthetics are important to you, this may be your unit.

3 out of 5 eggsNice TV, but Not Without Issues

Pros: Good looking television with excellent HD picture. Works well with DVD player connected via HDMI cable. Also connected to Comcast cable tv (without cable box).

Bought from Newegg, shipped very quickly: nice service, guys!

Cons: This TV has audio problems.

Search the 'net for "robot audio" with this model number. Problem seems to occur with signals received via built-in tuner from cable connection: audio distorts (sounds like a mechanical voice) and will eventually get back-in-sync if you are patient.

Samsung's 800 number help folk & email queries have NOT led to problem resolution. Many others are reporting the same problem, so hopefully a fix will be made in a firmware update. Very frustrating: hence only 3 eggs for this product.

Are you listening, Samsung? ;-)

Other Thoughts: Mounted on the wall in our bedroom, angled down for convenient viewing while lying in bed -- results in great picture. We found the 26" set is just right for a bedroom.

5 out of 5 eggsSamsung TV and PC

Pros: Good Picture Good Sound Excellent interface options and GREAT Holiday price! I purchased an Asus ATI EAH3450 from Newegg, it has an HDMI direct port. I plugged in the TV and ATI Catalyst recognized it. Just switched source on Samsung and Now (with a cordless mouse/keyboard) I can watch streaming video, DVD's and TV etc. Easiest setup ever! Also excellent customer service!

Cons: I also bought the 19" but I had to add a Signal Booster/splitter. Because it didn't get the same channels even using the same cable to test both. It seems the smaller sets may have a weaker tuner.

Other Thoughts: Check your manual for your TV's maximum resolutions ATI set one TV correctly but not the other. Make sure you check for the input/output you need before you buy a TV also look fo QAM in the description, if you don't want to use a cable box. My cable company said I needed HD box to get HD Channels... I get HD broadcast channels in HD with no problem.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome HDTV!

Pros: Excellent picture and plenty of connections to hook up all your electronics. Firmware in the TV can be updated but no updates are available at the time of writing this review. Digital Optical Out for surround sound. No dead pixels :)

Cons: One thing about This TV that annoyed me was i didn't like the default picture settings but after tinkering with it for a while i got it just right. It has 3 default settings (Dynamic. Standard, and Movie) and a few entertainment settings (Sports, Games, and Cinema) but i didn't like any of them. since colors didn't seem right.

The sound on the TV itself isn't as great as my older CRT TV. but still sounds good compared to most LCD tvs. and this can easily be fixed by hooking up another sound system. But this is not a big issue.

Other Thoughts: For people who are complaining about the Sound the TV makes when its turned on it can easily be turned off in the menu.

Picture Settings I Used: Mode: standard, Blacklight: 8, Contrast: 65, Brightness: 55, Sharpness: 30, Color 65, Tint 50.
Detailed Settings: Back Adjust: High, Dynamic Contract: High, Gamma: 0, Edge Enhancement: On, Color Space: Native, White Balance, Default. Color Tone: Cool1, Size: 16:9. Digital NR: Auto. Blue Only Mode: Off.

These Settings May need to be adjusted since everyone's TV environment is different, But could help in getting a picture that you like.

Highly recommended TV especially at the price.
