5 out of 5 eggsHighly recommended. A great value.

Pros: I think this TV is a Bargain with a capital B! Unless you're fanatical about having the latest features, you cannot go wrong with this Samsung (and you'll save hundreds of dollars to boot). The picture is stunning with my Directv HD service. Yes, it's "only" a 60 Hz set. But if you don't have it side-by-side with a 240 Hz set, you will not be disappointed. Even then, for me the more expensive sets are not worth it. Just my opinion, of course. I got this for our new master bedroom (where my wife does about 90% of her TV watching, and where I seldom watch), and she is very pleased with it. ("A big improvement over our old 32" Sharp!") Some others complained about the set's sound, but I think it's perfectly adequate for most watching. Sure, a surround system sounds better when watching DVDs with lots of action scenes and whatnot. But the built-in speakers work fine. It was easy to set up, the remote is above average, and it's an attractive TV. Highly recommended. A great value.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Yes, the picture dims from the sides. But all LCD sets do. Get over it. Watch it from head on, and you will love it.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb Value

Pros: Picture quality is astounding, tons of inputs and actually quite durable (it's survived a couple cross-country moves beautifully).

Cons: The on-board speakers are fairly lackluster. Speech frequencies are especially muddled - so invest in at least a basic set of speakers.

Other Thoughts: When removing the stand to mount the TV, you're left with the cylindrical nub popping out of the bottom for some reason. It's a poor design decision on their part, but really has no negative effect other than looking a tiny bit odd.

5 out of 5 eggsVibrant Beauty

Pros: Great colour, MUCH brighter than anticipated, after it has been tuned in and the backlight dimmed, can use as little as 80 watt! That is cheaper to run than most lcd 46's! Much more features than expected.

Cons: Lack of "120" is not a con! Its a blessing and $aving.

Other Thoughts: A cheaper TV would have done, but this thing can be jawdropping!

Worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Outstanding buy. Had 5 eggs so I read all the reviews. Pretty much flawless picture. For the life of me I cannot see any difference between the LCD and LED worth spending another 1500.00 other than vanity. Maybe in a few years when video quality of cable is improved.

Cons: Another remote. Now there is too many to handle and had to buy a universal. For a few bucks more they could send it with a universal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Have this hooked up with a Panasonic blu-ray that I also got at newegg, and a Samsung soundbar unit that I got someplace else. Watched a new release bluray movie with the wife last night. we were simply in awe as far as the picture quality and how great it looked on the large screen. pretty much the best movie watching experience of my life. I cant wait to see all the classics on this screen again.

Cons: the tv speakers produce the bare minimum for sound. you MUST purchase an external sound system with a subwoofer if you are to enjoy the sound quality of todays movies. my sound system is also a samsung product....so the tv remote can control the volume of the external sound ...which is very nice....one less remote needed.

5 out of 5 eggssatisfied customer

Pros: Amazing picture, i couldnt be happier. i was trying to decide between lcd, led, plasma etc. Im glad i went with the lcd. i connected my computer up to it to see how it would do and was pleasantly surprised, its very very crisp. It basically is a very big computer monitor. I played world of warcraft on it and was able to read the chat window and small font with out any problem.

Cons: stand is a bit wobbly but it comes with a safety cord that attaches to the back of the tv and secure to the wall. It would def take alot to tip it over, its just a bit wobbly. Not really sure what the touch of color is all about. there is no option for it in the menu, i guess its just the edge of the tv has a glass frame around it (very nice) and i think its supost to take some color off the picture but i dont notice it.

Other Thoughts: got a tracking number 2 or 3 days after i ordered it saying it would be at my house in about a week. the next day i got a phone call from the delivery company saying that they were coming to my house that day. so i left work early to meet the guy. not complaining it came very fast, just dont understand why the tracking number was so far off. came in perfect condition. you can put the stand on by your self but i would recomend two people do it. if you set the tv down with out the stand it rests on the glass frame, so be carefull!

5 out of 5 eggsPurty

Pros: Saw this puppy on the wall at a local appliance mart and was impressed with the Touch of Color design- it really has a great appearance. High Def content looks great. The good contrast/gamma has made dark parts in games easy to see.
NewEgg like usual had it for quite a bit cheaper so they get my continued business.

Got it combo'ed with the Bello ToC color mounting system and these guys did a great job putting together a very snappy setup.

Cons: So far I haven't any cons about the TV.

The shipping though *shudder* Every piece of Styrofoam in the the box was broken in multiple pieces. The bottom of the box must have gotten wet during transit as well as it was warped, ripped, and had that 'been wet cardboard' thing going on.

Some how miracle of miracle, the TV was intact so... I suppose I should give mad kudos to Samsung for preparing the package to go through a nuclear war.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't put off a notable amount of heat. I previously had a 47" plasma and that sucker could cook eggs. I don't want my TV to prepare my breakfast so I was pleasantly surprised.

5 out of 5 eggsReally pleased

Pros: Beautiful picture, no dead pixels, looks nice, tuner pulls in all of my local stations perfectly.

Cons: Sound, but with the small speakers inside these LCD tvs the sound is always marginal, tinny (I hooked up my Boston Accoustics TVEE soundbar and now am happy).

Other Thoughts: Arrived in 2 days in flawless condition. Thanks Newegg. This tv attracts dust really badly, have to dust it every single day, lol. But overall, I simply love this beautiful television.

5 out of 5 eggsGet A Surge Protector

Pros: Bought this for a friend. We watched movies on his upscaled HD player and this 60Hz model. Awesome! Sharp, crisp, do the search anywhere and you get the same results every time, almost (96% or higher?) everyone has had really good experiences. The display is what you would expect on a more expensive display.

Cons: The only con I have is with the person below who had an individual bad experience. Sounds like the guy didnt buy a surge protector and he is getting some bad mojo through his power lines. Don't even think about reviewing with one egg unless it warrants such a bad response. People like that make me roll my eyes. Samsung is doing what they can to help the guy are they not?

Other Thoughts: Looked at the 120 Hz. Well, I am not fully convinced that the 120 Hz and above are worth the extra cash. Now, if you are playing console games such as XBox, Playstation, Wii etc. ALL the time and watch ALOT of high speed sports in HD, maybe, just maybe then it may be an option. You may want to look at a comparison though. Do the research about 60, 120 and 240 Hz, the hype and the responses. For normal 60Hz standard television, HD channels, upscaled DVD players and Blu Ray players you will be Ace with the 60 Hz. You will come to your conclusion if it is worth it or not. Also, I just bought one (60 Hz model) for myself so I will come back later to repost my personal findings.
