Pros: UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW: After 5 months the picture is still nice, the box is still shiny... but see the CON...
Cons: UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW: After 5 months this TV has "died". The symptoms are typical of others I've seen: I have sound, but no video (the screen isn't lit). I'm guessing that it's most likely a backlight or power supply problem.
I'm contacting samsung.com for the warranty info today... we'll see how it goes. Hopefully this will be a smooth repair, but I dropped this rating to 2 stars for the problem.
This issue seems to be all too common.
Other Thoughts: Over the past few months I have seen a few strange occurrances with this tv, but nothing that wasn't solved by turning the set off, then on again.
The strangeness includes: - turning the tv on for a few seconds, the picture comes up, then it "reboots" again (screen goes black and the startup music plays again)
- turning on the set and the colors were scrambled when the picture came up. Sound was normal. Turned off and on and the problem corrected itself.
One last thought... the pseudo buttons on the front of the tv panel are not back lit in red. I've seen this on other models, but I wasn't sure if mine is out, or just doesn't have that feature.

Pros: This tv is great, i didnt order from newegg tho, i picked it up for about the same price at another electronic store. this lcd compared to the others was best by far, the price is resonable and the clearity is awsome on standerd, i play odst on this tv and on dynamic itll burn your eyes lol. i also use this as a moniter, works great for movies and games. its overall the best that iv owned.
Cons: the only con that comes to mind is when you turn it on, theres a almost a 7 sec delay but besides that its good
Other Thoughts: i thought it was going to run hot in my small room, but it doesnt, i keep this on all day and i cant fell a slight change in temp in my room. its a good buy!

Pros: Great LCD, perfect size for a bedroom. As always, Samsung quality exceeds my expectations. Proud owner of three Samsung monitors and now my third Samsung TV.
Cons: To the guy that calls himself "Electronics Tech", you should probably know what you are talking about before you write a review about something. You have a faulty power supply, yet you get sound and no picture?? That is amazing. Considering what I and other real "Electronics Techs" know about TVs, I highly doubt that if you had such a flawed power supply that your TV would actually power on. A CONTROL BOARD is normally what causes the issue you are talking about. Get your stuff straight before you write a review, rather than lead other potential buyers down the path of misinformation. Control Board failures are the most common issue with LCD TVs, so yeah, if you Google the problem, you will find plenty of stuff on it. Get some knowledge before you decide to put yourself in the same category as those of us that actually know what we are doing, and at least learn how to spell ELECTRONICS correctly.
