4 out of 5 eggsvery nice tv

Pros: replaced 3 year old LG with this one and u can notice a big difference in picture.contrast is veri good and the colors look suffers a bit in dark scenes and thats why im giving it 4 eggs, also in fast scenes the picture gets blurry some times, overall very nice picture.sound not bad like some people say.haven't connected to internet yet.I got this a week ago for 1300 with free blue ray player, sold that blue ray ( have ps3 ) for $ 80 final price 1220.not bad :).

Cons: not wireless,

Other Thoughts: wish i had enough money and buy the 8 series.2ms response time twice as fast as this model 240hz.newegg is the best place to buy electronics.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat a deal!!

Pros: This was a great deal from Newegg, for 1299 with free Blu-Ray combo. Shipping was quick and free, I received everything in two days. Picture quality is outstanding, and I am quite pleased.

Cons: TV seems to have problems receiving signals via HDMI via AV receiver. I have an Onkyo receiver that throughputs HDMI v1.3 straight through, even so, the PC for Home Theater and Blu Ray dont want to display via HDMI part of the time. If it sits for 5 minutes or so, or the unit gets reset then the HDMI signal will go through. Both units are more than capable of sending 1080p through. I did not have this problem with my last 1080p TV. TV has latest firmware. Also, the sensor for the remote is on the bottom, so if you have a center speaker that sits in front of the TV, it will block the remote sensor.

Other Thoughts: What a deal from Newegg. It was so sweet I couldnt say no, however beautiful the picture is from the tv, it does have some flaws, and there are many widgets and things that are pretty unnecessary that you are paying for. Some of this effort should have went to making sure the functionality was top notch first.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad, not bad at all

Pros: Slim and light, uses less power than my old 32" Westinghouse CCFL backlit LCD, picture and color quality

Cons: Expensive, even after it went down to $1,750 from $3,400; front panel buttons are hidden behind glass and cannot be seen or felt (don't loose the remote!); no auto source detect (my old TV had it and I can't believe I lived without it before)

Other Thoughts: Using this as a PC monitor connected to an old Radeon x850 Pro (DVI-HDMI). It's beautiful when set to its native resolution of 1080p! Gaming is a bit of a pain as few cards can drive 1920x1080 with frame rates at 30/sec, so make sure you've got a card with muscle. PS2, Wii, DVDs, Hulu and NetFlix look great! Never tested the sound; that's what a receiver or pre/pro/amp is for!

And this is rude, but I'm going to call out cableguy619. Samsung's LED TV line came out in April of 2009; there's no way in hell your display is old enough to be out of its one year warranty!

5 out of 5 eggsComputer Monitor Heaven

Pros: Wow, Fallout 3 on max settings. Haven't yet watched any blu ray's but saw one on girlfriends sisters 40" version...almost unreal.

Cons: None so far. Just in case I bought the 4 year warranty

Other Thoughts: You might want to place it more than 2 feet away...

4 out of 5 eggsWonderful LED-lit Television

Pros: Great picture, light and thin, efficient energy use so you can contribute to the survival of emperor penguins in Antarctica.

Also, you can plug in a USB hard disk/flash drive and watch video files directly on the TV. I watch high-def MKV files on it.

Cons: Laptop-quality speakers.

As the previous reviewer said, packing was sloppy. Fortunately, my TV emerged from unscathed. Had this TV for about two months now and no problems. Knocking off one egg for the poor packing job.

Other Thoughts: I bought a sound bar system to compensate for the weak speakers. Other than that, a great TV. Improved my quality of life substantially.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE this tv

Pros: This TV is phenomenal. The picture quality is unbelievably crisp and clear, and almost looks 3D. Every guest we've had over has been in awe. All HD channels look great, and blu rays with an hdmi cable are just flawless. The TV itself is super thin and a stylish piece of furniture in itself. Plenty of HDMI inputs. We actually had a 7100 series in the same size, but took it back due to a crack in the screen. We took it back and a 6000 series, which is cheaper, and there is NO difference except internet connectivity. Extremely happy with this model!

Cons: No, the sound isn't great, but that isn't exclusive to this particular unit, all of these thin flat screen TVs have mediocre sound. If sound is of the utmost importance, I suspect you'd have invested in a surround sound system, or at least a Samsung sound bar that has "virtual" surround (we have one) which is relatively cheap and provides a large improvement in sound quality and volume over the unit's 20W speakers.

Other Thoughts: -Notice the "bad" reviews are due to people either getting a defective unit, or problems during shipping/packaging.
-Again, I don't think the standard sound is bad enough to take an egg off on the rating, but if its important to you there are low cost solutions that provide adequate improvements. On the other hand, I am far from an audiophile/home theater expert, so take that for what it's worth.
-I didn't list this as a con, because everything these days is HDMI, but while there are plenty of HDMI inputs (4 + a PC input), there is only 1 component input and zero composites. So if you have a Wii and, say, an older xbox360 with no HDMI output, you'll have to look into getting some type of switch or receiver to have multiple component inputs.
-Regarding HDMI, please, if you'll be in need of lots of HDMI cables, do NOT go out to your local electronics chain store- the price gouging on these things is borderline criminal. They are much cheaper online.

1 out of 5 eggsworse packing job ever

Pros: I was very excited about getting this, I have always been 100 % satsified with newegg purchases before.

Cons: This TV arrived with the inner box sliding around loose in the outer box and the packing to secure it, in pieces. Customer service tells me I have to set it up and see if it works before they'll issue an RMA. Somehow I am not too confident in trusting that my $2500 TV survived transit bouncing around inside the box for 2000 miles.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome picture and design

Pros: Superb picture quality and design

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Well worth the expense. Don't expect great sound quality as is the case for all flat panel HDTV's. Buy a $200 ZVOX Mini to get sound quality that matches the picture in a single unit.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: Stunning picture detail (but I don't have many other HDTVs to compare against). It does everything I want it to. I already have a Samsung 40", but the 46" really does make a difference. As things get closer to lifesize, they seem more real. You'll miss out on the full HDTV experience with anything smaller.

Cons: Sound is tinny. Setting to Movie mode makes it tolerable.

Other Thoughts: Ordered in the afternoon with the free "whenever we get around to it" delivery. It arrived via UPS the next morning.
