5 out of 5 eggsTerrific TV!

Pros: Image quality is amazing. Really... really... amazing.

Built in apps are not great, but not terrible either. Not buying a TV for the apps, so what there is is merely icing on the cake.

Sound is decent given the size and thin profile of the device.

Interface takes some getting used to. The UI could be better, but again, I'm buying a TV, not a computer.

Definitely needs some tinkering with color and display settings to get an ideal picture. But it's easy to obtain an outstanding display in very short order.

Games look great with Game Mode enabled.

Cons: Ugly stand. But I watch the screen, not the stand.

Full price seems a bit high for what you get. I bought this on a crazy good sale (not from Newegg - sorry guys) so it was a decent value for me, but I don't think I'd pay full price for this unit.

Other Thoughts: All in all an outstanding TV if you get if you have some patience and get it on sale.

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost 3D!

Pros: This picture is so amazing, it's almost like 3D.
The internet apps work great and are easy to negotiate.
This is my first Sumsung LED TV and the picture blows away my former two plasmas.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I am a Samsung believer.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing.

Pros: This TV is amazing, simply put. In the past I've purchased pioneer and sony sets but samsung has really pushed the envelope. The TV is thin and looks great wall mounted, the usual with LED tv's. What I couldn't get over is how real movies and shows look on this TV. I saw a few 3D movies over the last few weeks and was disappointed because it wasn't much better than what my TV could produce. The TV is super easy to use and the Yahoo widgets are extremely useful (weather and news instantly on your TV while watching another show). I can plug my external HDD into the USB port on the back and watch virtually any movie I have on it without any issue.

Cons: -The Internet@Tv was disappointing, there's not much on their that's useful other than netflix or hulu if you have a subscription.
-Sound isn't perfect, but for how thin the TV is, it does very well
-Who ever was the drunk monkey who decided where to put stuff in the menu really needs to get fired, things are hard to find which added to setup time.

Other Thoughts: Overall, a great buy. Also the Yahoo widgets feature TWiT, which I can stream directly to my TV!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Set for Price.

Pros: Great HD picture quality, Good Sound,Easy set-up.

Has "Level Sound" feature to dampen loud "Ads". Backlit Remote, Internet connectable to some sites (including Streaming Vid Sites). Lots of features and adjustments. Light weight, Thin, Very good looking, Narrow edge around screen, 4 HDMI imputs, Etc, Etc.

We just changed from a "Sony Grand Vega" 42 inch. As far as I can determine, both the "6500 and 6400" are basically the same, and both have the "Internet@TV" feature.rojection HDTV, and, although the "Sony" was a good set, the picture and sound in our new "6400" is far superior. Like unreal!!!

Cons: At this point some non-HD programming appears to be more blurry than other non-HD programming.

Other Thoughts: The only difference I have been able to find between the 6400 and the 6500 is the stand, and I much prefer the "6400" stand.
We have "DirectTV", and the HD programs are unbelievable compared to the "Sony". This is a great TV, with a great look. I have not yet worked with any of the settings and adjustments (of which there are many). With tuning the picture clarity on those stations and programs may improve.

My "Special Person" is very demanding when it comes to television quality, and ease of operation. she is amazed and delighted with this set.

The ASUS WL330gE Wireless Router/Ethernet Adapter Works great as a replacement for the $80 Samsung Internet Access Dongle.

5 out of 5 eggsGaming update -- Lag not an issue...

Pros: DLNA
Netflix

Cons: none that I can think of...

Other Thoughts: This is an update to my prior review regarding input lag...

It seems that there is a "Game Mode" that is buried in the most unlikely place in the Settings Menus. (It's under the "General" settings, in case anyone is having trouble finding it...)

With Game Mode ON, my lag drops to almost zero. I've been enjoying playing everything on this HDTV now.

I should also add that the DLNA and Netflix support on this thing is amazing.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Amazingly thin, great picture, blacks are so dark you would think the tv is off.

Cons: Default picture settings are bad, must change to get full quality. High quality movies were jittery until reading the manual and setting the appropriate enhancements.

Other Thoughts: Once the tv is setup correctly it is amazing. The Samsung App store is sparse with only a few useful apps but will hopefully grow.

1 out of 5 eggsSamsung is starting to look like Toyota

Pros: Great picture very thin profile.

Cons: No Dolby Digital out. at 120 hz the fast moving scenes is not smooth. Tinny sound and ethernet port was not working from the get go.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing picture and features; not so great for fast-action gaming on the Wii

Pros: - Amazing and bright picture!!!
- Low power consumption
- Internet TV functions (via Ethernet)
- Onboard MPEG-4 codec support (via USB port)
- Good remote control
- 1.1 inches thin -- (sexy!)

Cons: ~80ms (+/- 5ms) of input lag (in Game Mode) via Component connection on the Wii

Other Thoughts: This is an amazing HDTV. Just stunning. The only caveat in all of this for me is that I like to play the Wii a fair amount. Specifically, Guitar Hero 3 and the stock Wii Tennis game (both of which are fast-action games which require solid reflexes.) Unfortunately, this TV appears to introduce about 80ms of lag from input-to-display.

I fired up the GH3 calibration screen and ran thru the calibration at least 5 times and my average lag was about 80ms. As a comparison, my old 27" CRT would always calibrate at 0ms, so I know it's not a PEBCAK error.

Despite this, it's a really great TV.
