Pros: I replaced a 65" Mitsu DLP with this set. Went to the big box store to see which set I liked the best, and saved hundreds purchasing online. The biggest improvements for me are using substantially less power, ranging from 45W(!) to around 90-95W at maximum brightness, but especially the image quality and the visibility with ambient light, and much improved contrast compared to the old DLP.
Cons: The cons I have relate to missing TV stand parts that was made very frustrating to resolve by all parties. It was eventually resolved by Samsung to my satisfaction, so not reducing the score for the TV itself. Let me just say: the manual says to contact the dealer for missing parts. I recommend ignoring that and calling Samsung right away.
Other Thoughts: Just some more about DLP vs this new set. I had problems with glare and black levels on the old set, where basically the only time I could get a really great picture was a) the content is very bright and vivid or b) it's dark out. I put room darkening shades up, cranked the brightness, etc...no dice. I love that I can use this new TV at all hours of the day without being annoyed by struggling to see low-contrast details.
