5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: * Easy to set up
* Simple menus
* Remote has backlighting
* Light weight
* Excellent contrast
* Excellent blacks

Cons: * Slight pixilation with high speed images
* No menu option for professional tuning

Other Thoughts: I professionally tune my TVs by accessing menus usually requiring technician codes to gain access. Some TV models now offer a custom setting allowing owner to professionally tune TV. That said, this set had enough picture options to allow me to tune it to a level that was close to my custom/professional tuned TV. Most people would be challenged to see much of a difference in picture quality and as I just wanted an inexpensive 2nd TV for my bedroom, this was a great choice. Excellent blacks and contrast detail better than anything else I viewed in this price range. I was pleasantly surprise at how energy efficient this TV is as I was able to set it up with a great picture drawing only 50 watts of power (measured using kill-o-watt meter) which translates to about 55 cents per month in electricity costs @ 6 hours/day/year of viewing. I have used my laptop to project high definition movies wirelessly using a Microsoft Surface connector (HMDI + USB ports) and the reproduction is great. Overall this wass the perfect combo of price/features for my needs and I am very happy.

5 out of 5 eggsSee Previous review

Pros: Very happy with quality of this TV!

Cons: None I only use for cable TV and PC screen!

Other Thoughts: There is also a Firmware usb update from ver.1022. to ver.1024. from the Sansung support site for improvements!

5 out of 5 eggsSamsung UN46EH5000 46" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: I'm very pleased with this HD TV, got this for $409. special price through Newegg which was $100. less than the sale price at a known electronic store. Sound and picture quality very nice. I use Verizon Fios cable, once I set the cable settings to the TV and tweaked the TV settings to what I liked best it gives very nice picture quality and sound. I prefer to use Clear Motion rate off!

Cons: The only draw back was in the specs. it calls for Versa 200mm x 200mm wall mounting when in fact it requires Versa 400mm x 400mm

Other Thoughts: Non, it really depends on the quality of your cable company and connections you use!

1 out of 5 eggsPoor USB video support

Pros: See previous review

Cons: Terrible USB video support. Fast forward does not work at all! I am returning this TV.

Other Thoughts: I should have stayed with LG, which has (slightly) better support for video files.

3 out of 5 eggsNot good for USB files

Pros: Easy setup
TV works fine
Good picture in movie mode
Good sound in movie mode
The joystick button under the screen can be helpful
Good screen size
Audio can play from TV and external system at same time

Cons: I rarely watch actual TV. I just play videos from the USB drive. This TV is disappointing here:
- The USB is not a input source. To switch to USB, the remote has a special Media button which is not on my universal remote so I'm stuck using the original remote.
- The TV has no memory of which video was playing after the TV is turned off.
- FF is terrible for video files. It is slow and inconsistent

Other Thoughts: I replaced my LG TV with this one. I should have bought another LG.
This TV is not worth the retail price

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice TV

Pros: Bright display, thin screen, many settings to play with. Displays my computer nicely when in dual-screens. Many ports to choose from.

Cons: Stand a little wobbly, seems like it would knock over easily.

3 out of 5 eggsNice display, horrible image processing

Pros: This TV Looks and performs nicely. At the time I bought it, it was a great 1080p display for its size and price.

Cons: If you care about image quality, don't plan on ever watching interlaced video on this unit. The built-in de-interlacer is horrible, makes the picture muddy and grainy, and screws up the contrast big time. I had to reconfigure my satellite receiver to output 720p since 1080i looked horrible.

Other Thoughts: If you want an unprocessed, pixel-perfect picture, make sure you rename the primary HDMI input to PC INPUT. Even though it's under the "rename" function, it also causes the unit to bypass the image processor (aka image mangler). What a stupid design. But, after figuring out how to get things looking decent, it's not a constant frustration. Just plan on using only progressive-scan sources.
