5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stick

Pros: Works very well, Check Flash was giving me around 7 MBPS write speed and 46 for read. No errors, plenty of storage... can't complain, does what's needed.

Cons: No LED, no lanyard, etc. I didn't buy it for those though so no eggs docked for that.

Other Thoughts: I'm surprised they still make USB drives in 2.0 when they can run this quick!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for Home and Gaming

Pros: Fast, superb resolution and color, plays most of today's demanding games on ultra settings, great sound, pictures and video look great, nice design (I especially like the back-lit keyboard), i7, trackpad works well with Windows 8, stays cool due to great ventilation, very quiet

Cons: Power supply is a brick; but, keep in mind that this computer is a gaming beast. Also, I had to do a lot of personalizing Windows 8 for me to enjoy it (all the changes I made, by the way, were done through the operating system).

Other Thoughts: This is a great laptop for handling home, office, and gaming tasks. Being a fan of Skyrim, I was pleased when this computer played the game on ultra settings without missing a beat.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Drive Enclosure

Pros: Breeze to install, I have a Vantec VANTEC NexStar HX4R NST-640S3R-BK which is basically the same enclosure but with RAID capabilities. This unit, which costs $30.00 less, works much beter with my current chipset. The HX4R continually disconected. On some reboots I would get a device error and none of the rives would show up. Vantec support was excellent, but it was a chipset prob. This cheaper JBOD unit worked great rite out of the box. 10 minutes to install, partition and format the drives (4 Seagate 2TB drives). On USB 3.0 the transfer speed averaged 105MB/s with no disconnect issues, no chip set issues - this thing just works! I will definetly purchase more units as my network storage needs increase. Oh and the other unit - its currently connected to a Seagate GoFLexHome 3TB NAS - works fine under USB2.0 as a backup mirror to the new unit - file transfer on that unit under USB2.0 is 24MB/s

Cons: It doesnt wash the dishes

Other Thoughts: i will recommend this to friends and purchase more units as needed. This is a great storage solution from a company with tech support that is unparalleled!

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performer

Pros: Windows 7 Pro
8 GB RAM
160 GB SSD
Core i5 CPU

Cons: A little pricey for a used machine.

Other Thoughts: This is my first refurb purchase, and I'm pretty happy with it. Machine is obviously used, but it's clean. Everything works as advertised, as far as I can tell. I went ahead and purchased the 1-yr extended warranty, just to be on the safe side.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy this monitor

Pros: Completely perfect picture, great colors, etc. Really great assembly. Acer really thought the plug and play thing out well. Seriously, this monitor is way worth the money.

Cons: The power button is really bright and is a little distracting.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, replaced my old board with this one

Pros: I replaced a dying ASRock board only 5 months old with this Asus P8Z77, which is working much better. Just looking at it and holding it seems like the Asus is built better, more sturdy.
BIOS is easy to use and has an attractive interface. No junk apps, no adware. Everything works perfect right out of the box. Easy to setup.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I had an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, similar price, which had higher reviews on Newegg. The USB ports stopped working after 5 months. Tried rolling back the drivers, updating drivers, tried everything on all the forums. Another month goes by and started having trouble resetting the PC...then trouble shutting down. Replaced the mobo with this Asus and all problems fixed. Didn't even have to reinstall windows (after using sysprep feature in Windows.) The Asus board figured everything out and just started working right away. Very happy. Never again ASROCK.

5 out of 5 eggsPossibleUpdated Review Reason for so many bad boards

Pros: Works fine now that everything is worked out.

Cons: I bought one of these with an i3 3220 and 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600. Like many others I put it together properly and it powered up with no video, no beeps, no nothing. I then learned that this board is only compatible with newer CPUs on BIOS version 1.30 and up. Newegg was(possibly still is) sending 1.20 boards. I RMA'ed the first board, second board same problem. So I put a Celeron G540 in it and it fired right up. I updated the bios and my CPU still wouldn't work so I rma'ed it recieved a new one and it works fine. So in my case I got a double whammy. Outdated Bios + defective CPU. If newegg is still sending outdated boards that could possibly be the problem many are having.

Other Thoughts: If wasn't for all the problems caused by Newegg I wouldn't have had a problem with this board. I ended up spending about $25-$30 in shipping fees to RMA the board and CPU. Thanks Newegg.....

5 out of 5 eggsLoving the modularity

Pros: Modular is the way to go. Only use the cables you need. This greatly minimizes the clutter in my system and makes it easier to cable manage. Plus it lets me pick and choose which cables to use. This system came with extra cables, more than you can actually use at once. The details don't make it clear, but it actually comes with 4 SATA connectors (2 cables with 2 connectors on each cable). I haven't had any issues with this PSU so far, but it's been a few days.

Also, it's fairly quiet, I've definitely had louder PSUs.

Cons: Better instructions.
More SATA connectors

Other Thoughts: I noticed that the connection ports on this PSU are labeled differently, some explanation of which cords go to which port would be nice. They're pretty much assuming that you know enough to be able to identify the different connectors. I'm also wondering if there's really a difference in the connection ports, or if any cord can be plugged into any of the available ports. An answer to that question without risking damage to the unit would be nice, I suppose I should check the manufacturer's website.

I'm also wondering if I can somehow get more SATA connectors on this thing, that seems to be what I need most.

Final thoughts: This is a great PSU because it is affordable and modular. As long as you don't need more than 430W and 4 SATA connectors, you can't really go wrong.
