  • newegg Full HD 1080p Enjoy a viewing experience that redefines reality with the realistic detail of Full HD images.
  • newegg Clear Motion Rate of 240 Experience sharp picture quality, even when you are watching fast-moving images like sports or action movies. Clear Motion Rate was developed to accurately measure how well an LCD or LED TV can depict fast-moving images. Unlike previous motion-clarity which was calculated by the frame refresh rate alone, CMR offers a more complete measure by calculating 3 factors: frame refresh rate, image processor speed and backlight technology. A CMR of 240 - 480 takes motion-clarity to the next level. LED TVs with this CMR can display action-packed movement with even sharper detail and deeper levels of contrast while eliminating image distortion.
  • newegg Wide Color Enhancer Plus Wide Color Enhancer Plus allows you to see picture color the way the director originally intended. Witness the entire RGB spectrum brought to life on your screen to bring you exceptionally vibrant, yet natural-looking images faithful to the director's original intent.
  • newegg Eco Sensor The unique Eco light sensor measures the intensity of the room's light and automatically calibrates the brightness of the image on the screen. In a sun-filled environment, the screen gets brighter and in dim surroundings, the intensity is reduced. This feature optimizes the viewing experience while also saving you energy.
  • newegg 2 HDMI Connections Get superior picture and sound from your HD source. The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a digital connection that can transmit HD video and audio over a single cable. Use it to optimize the image quality when you connect your TV to high-definition sources such as HD cable TV, satellite receiver or Blu-ray player.
  • newegg ConnectShare Movie ConnectShare Movie lets you watch videos, play music or view photos from a USB connection without needing to use a PC or special equipment. Simply plug your USB device or drive directly into your Samsung TV's USB port and watch on the big screen with friends and family.

4 out of 5 eggsGood TV for the Price

Pros: After doing my research, we were patient as we knew this model was being released soon.
Had a good picture out of the box, but contrast & brightness levels were set too high....

Cons: After 200 hrs of use we had it calibrated, the tech only calibrated the movie mode setting....
In hindsight i find this to be a waste of money!
The TV still has a good picture though....

Other Thoughts: Since we had absolutely ZERO interest in 3-D viewing couldn't wasting money on the higher priced models...
For kids, i guess 3-D might be unique for them to watch, especially animation..

3 out of 5 eggsBig screen with one big defect

Pros: So this is a very large tv as you can expect. The panel itself performs similarly to the old b600 series of lcd screens (i happen to have one) yet this screen is definitely much brighter due to the led backlighting. Colors are good, the automotion junk is best turned off completely just like on any other model. Contrast was no better than my sharp lc52u920 tv, and may have been worse, even though that tv is edge lit and this is full array backlit. This tv is surprisingly light for being a 65" screen. Nice thin bezel.

Cons: Screen had a bright spot of discoloration in the bottom right corner. Was a panel defect I'm guessing. Had to send it back for refund. Did not return it for replacement because if you read the fine print your return period is 30 days from original purchase, including if you receive a replacement item. So given it takes several days to receive the item, several days to send back the item, several days for them to process the return, several days to receive the replacement; it's not possible to return the second unit should it have something wrong with it as well. Unless you're buying a tv on a newegg preferred acount, you'd probably be better off avoiding the hassle and going to a big box store like Costco who has a 60 day return policy.

Other Thoughts: TV does not like interlaced signals, at least not 1080i. This isn't necessarily a problem unlesss you have a cable box that outputs 1080i, or try watching hd-dvd or blurays that are 1080i. I'm currently using xboxs as media center extenders for my tv viewing so it wasn't a big deal.
