Samsung UN65D8000 65" 3D 1080p LED-LCD TV - 16:9 - HDTV 1080p

Pros: Samsung quality on LCDs to LEDs and similar tvs are better than most tvs. With Sony being on par in my opinion.

Cons: Their motherboards HDMI ports become loose over time.

Other Thoughts: gfparker, at some point I had no clue what the heck you were going on about, but Samsung service isn't poor. I was at a point were I had to use their service.

However my largest issue with your opinion, is the fact you are complaining about a 67 inch DLP Television. The tv here is a 65 inch LED-LCD tv.

Also honestly you should of gotten extended warranty. For a $2500 unit, an extra couple hundred isn't a whole lot and you wouldn't have this little problem.

Finally, you get an extra extended warranty on their site if you register the product.

TL;DR: Spend the extra money for longer warranty and also register the product on the Samsung site for free extra warranty (not much but adds more), and stop complaining for the wrong tv.

Pros: Looks good when it works

Cons: I have a 67" Samsung DLP TV that cost $2500. After warranty expired ( a very short 1 year) the TV developed white spots due to the failure of the DLP chip. Despite an overwhelming number of customers with the same problem Samsung refuses to address the problem even though they did a secret recall on the 61" version of this TV. Do an internet search on white dot problem.
