3 out of 5 eggsCould have been better for the price

Pros: Very light weight
Decent connection choices, 3 HDMI / 1 Component / 1 composite / 1 coax
Was cheap at the time

Cons: Image quality is pretty poor
Claims 1366x768 resolution but it fails to mention it only does so at 30 hz
Terrible contrast, can't make anything in during dim scenes in movies
Custom color, brightness setting disables itself every time you switch input sources until you shut off and turn back on the TV or rerun the display setup wizard

Other Thoughts: I thought I would be happy with this when I was shopping, could have/should have spent the extra 80 bucks for a 42" with 1080p support. Movies are never crisp and at certain light levels are unwatchable due to horrific contrast, displaying everything as a blue-grey blob just kinda moving around the backlight until the scene switches to something brighter. Bought a better TV for the living room and figured this would make a good screen in the game room instead. I was wrong. Hooked up to computer and text is near illegible, comparable to using an old fashioned S-video out (I'm using HDMI). Resolution is advertised as 1366x768 and it does, but only does so at 30 hz interlaced. Plus side is it does also support 1920x1080... but does that at 30 hz interlaced as well so your only choice for fast paced games that really need 60 hz is 1280x720. I'm not sure what I'm gonna end up using this for but it certainly not acceptable for a living room TV nor a PC screen.

4 out of 5 eggsAverage

Pros: Great Price; 3 HDMI ports, solid construction.

Cons: On/Off TV switches hard to find, 720p does matter

Other Thoughts: I read everywhere that 720p wouldn't matter for a 32 inch screen. It was wrong. If you want a great picture go for 1080, regardless of size. 720 is good for gaming, but is lacking for movies and HD content.
But for 3 bones, can't get 1080.

4 out of 5 eggsOk tv great price

Pros: the tv is thin and light weight making it great for a bedroom tv. price cant be beat

Cons: the picture was very poor when i first hooked it up and i blamed the tv. but after a few changes to my box settings the picture improved greatly. so don't think the picutre sucks right away. it is only 720p but for the price no complaints.

Other Thoughts: just make sure to get you cable or satellite box settings right before you give up hope on the tv

4 out of 5 eggsgood for the price

Pros: Very low cost - Probably worth the money for secondary use in a bedroom or playroom. 3 HDMI connections. Competitors give only 2. Nice with an HTPC and useful as a secondary monitor.

Cons: Video is bit jaggy around curved edges and sometimes blurrs a bit for fast motion scenes. Comparably priced machines do about the same. You get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: I don't recommend this for primary use in the living room. but mine is in the "family room" where I keep a computer connected. Wearing glasses or contacts to watch this one is pointless. If I had use for another secondary TV, I'd buy another, However, For a primary TV I'd spend a load more and go 5 classes up.
I've been buying from newegg since the days when they but random gifts in the box. They've never failed me so feel confident about buying.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Good price for all the options this HDTV offers. Overall a nice looking TV and very functional

Cons: The picture is not as sharp as I expected. However, I am comparing the picture sharpness to my new Sony Bravia, so that might be a little unfair. However Philips has a good reputation in Europe for building good electronics so my comparision may not be as far fetched.
