Pros: Well, I don't have to use a converter box to get hd tv.
Cons: The program guide shows only the current program. The free converter boxes handed out a couple of years ago will show an onscreen guide of the current show and upcoming shows for the next few hours, why can't this?
Other Thoughts: I don't know how this compares to other HD tvs, but I am not impressed by this one.

Avoid if using analog inputs
Pros: Many inputs, 3 hdmi, 2 composite/SVHS, 1 componet. Digital broadcasts and digital inputs look great, but....
Cons: I got this so I could continue to use a non-hdmi satellite receiver and a component out dvd player. Analog sources look extremely muddy. The predefined settings have practically no color saturation to them. You have to turn off the energy saver mode to get the backlight bright enough and crank up the brightness and colour settings to get close to a passable image from the SVHS or component inputs. It almost looks like 15 bit color, 5 bit red, 5 bit green, 5 bits of blue. The sound is extremely tinny and at times there is a buzzzz that becomes annoying.
Other Thoughts: I went with this to use legacy equipment and chose the 1080 resolution so that converting is done simply by doubling the 480 SD images and it does that well. The aspect ratio is maintained for the analog inputs. I am going to try this as a computer monitor once I scrounge up a dvi-hdmi adapter and look elsewhere for a replacement tv. If that doesn't work well, then it goes in the workroom with a set of computer speakers.
