Warning!!
- Pros: None unless you absolutely cannot afford a Sony (re. Cons).
- Cons: Numerous cons. For anyone familiar with gray ramps (i.e. 21 step gray bar for designers) this is just one of the ways that you can accurately assess as to whether you are capable of seeing all of the subtlies in the highlights and shadow regions. This LCD blows out the highs and looses the darks. The last three bars on the white side appear solid white and the last three bars on the black side appear solid black. LOTS of info lost. This also affects the color that is seen. By comparison... after returning the ViewSonic after a few days of attempting to get it to display more accurately (and not being able to) I purchased a Sony Bravia 26". What an enormous difference! Every-single-one of the steps in the gray ramp are visible. The colors are excellent (I used my Photoshop color test). I am extremely happy not only with the display but with the sound (enormously better) and whereas the ViewSonic exhibited LOTS of little glitches... the Sony does not on the same system.
Not good
- Pros: Not too expensive
- Cons: Very very critical as to viewing angle, especially the vertical axis. Very poor black level with hard to adjust shadows. Maybe it would work for a computer monitor due to the naturally limited viewing axis but as a LCD TV I would say to not waste your time or money. Also I have found no way (in TV mode) to change it's aspect ratio which means when if watching a 4:3 ratio broadcast it will stretch it to around 16:9 which is unacceptable. Other LCD TV’s have easy adjustable aspect ratios via a remote button. Unfortunately in this case I believe I got less than I paid for.

NICE LOOKING TV, IMPOSSIBLE TO SET COLORS!
- Pros: Easy to understand settings. Incredible sound!
- Cons: When you tune into a "viewable" channel, you must admire the clear and sharp images. The problem is to set all the channels to be watched the same way. Impossible task. Not even ViewSonic tech support can figure out this problem. Clear picture, dark background: unable to balance colors. Great sound and easy settings except for the colors. A really nightmare! I'm exchanging the item. I hope better luck with the next one or I'll use my extended warranty to the full.
- Other Thoughts: Newegg promptly send a RMA for the item to be exchanged.
Don't believe the rebate terms
- Pros: It works as expected
- Cons: Viewsonic's rebate program DOES NOT WORK as expected...I'm continually assured my rebate is being processed and all documents are in order...but 11 WEEKS and still no rebate.
Decent LCD xlint$
- Pros: This is my second lcd and it is great! my other one was a 19". the picture is really clear and clors are great. the price is unbelievable. the adjustments are decent. I use it mostly for games on my xb.
- Cons: the lowered the price again with no price protection
