Awesome TV
- Pros: The picture quality is better than I expected. Even the channels that are not in HD are very sharp. I've owned my share of TVs and would recommend this one in a heartbeat. It's the best 19" picture I've ever seen. The sound is excellent for the size of the speakers. The remote is just OK. Nothing to jump and down about. I programed my set top box remote to run the TV, which is a better remote.
- Cons: None so far.
- Other Thoughts: The stand doesn't tilt or turn.
Absolutely Wonderful Monitor and Television
- Pros: This LCD and Monitor combo is truly an amazing item, I've had this baby for a week, now, I unfortunately did not buy this from Newegg, and I truly regret that as I would've saved even more money had I brought it from here.
Anyway the picture is truly vivid, it has amazing clarity sharpness. I use it primarily as computer monitor, but the quality image is brilliant when used as a TV. Overall it is a great buy and there is absolutely nothing that I regret about it. And its very light, I can hold it with one hand! :D.
- Cons: Obviously not full HD since it only supports 1440 x 900 (Full HD is 1920 x 1280i) but 720p pictures are brilliant and sharp. And even when watching HD programming with higher-resolutions, the clarity is still amazing. Remote is nothing special, and the monitor cannot turn or move.
- Other Thoughts: Some games mostly the Steam and Source Engine Games, (Half Life 2, CounterStrike Source, Orange Box, etc...) have to be run at a lower resolution because the monitor for some reason cannot auto adjust itself correctly.

Cannot recommend this TV
- Pros: When this unit works, it offers good picture quality.
- Cons: The sound is very poor and high volume is required for normal listening. I had one unit that failed to start when it was ten months old. I had to turn it on multiple times to get it to stay on. I would just turn itself off before any picture or sound appeared. I returned it under warranty. I was gone for about two months and a "not brand new" unit was sent to replace it. Now after two months this replacement unit is doing the same thing. ViewSonic is very difficult to contact and to deal with. I'll see what happens with getting a replacement for my present unit since it's now out of warranty. I would not recommend this TV to anyone due to apparent poor quality and poor customer service.
It's OK I guess
- Pros: Lots of input options. Play Xbox 360 games in high def. If you want a small TV maybe it would be OK.
- Cons: When used as a computer monitor it automatically adjusts to the first resolution it sees. In my case that is the low resolution boot up screen from my ASUS motherboard. So every time I start my computer I have to manually adjust the to display.
- Other Thoughts: At 1440 x 900 its not really big enough to be a good computer monitor. It seems that a lot of web pages are designed to be view on screens that are at least 1024 pixels high. I spend more time with this monitor scrolling up and down to see everything.
While not a really bad monitor I wouldn't buy this one again.
- Pros: Excellent! Connected to both computer & tv cable. Set up in our guest bedroom so computer monitor doubles as guest tv when we have company. Easy set up - absolutely no problems.
- Cons: none for me
- Other Thoughts: Occasionally, while the computer is processing a large project, I'll switch over to tv and watch a show while I'm waiting for the computer to complete it's operation.
