4 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: Good picture
Cheap (at current price of 500)
No dead pixels

Cons: Bad sound (but who uses stock sound anyway)
Not very many inputs/outputs...

Other Thoughts: It's a solid TV for the price range. If my budget was in the 800-1000 range I would have bought something different, but for a 42" LED LCD @ 500.. It's great!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice picture
Audio seems good
Reasonable enough settings and config.

Cons: From the warranty at the back of the manual (this is why I gave it one star
1 year warranty for all parts excluding the light does appear to be covered for labor.

So the only part that is likely to fail is not covered by ANY warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy this TV!

Pros: - Great Picture
- All necessary settings are adjustable
- Native 1080 resolution supported

I set this TV up right away and plugged in my HTPC, my experience has been nothing but amazing every since.

Cons: None, really, none.

Other Thoughts: This TV is not a Smart TV, this is not a Con. If you want a Smart TV, buy that. This TV is simply a great product from a company that has proven themselves time and time again in the display industry. When CRTs where it ViewSonic made the best! ...and this TV lives up to their reputation.

I found one review on a Mac users site speaking negatively towards this TV, they are wrong I experienced none of the issues they explained in their review and as for their complaint about the menus, ITS A TV, I DIDN"T BUY IT TO PLAY WITH THE SETTINGS, NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: - fast responsive remote

Cons: - no DVI support
- VGA does not support native resolution
- noisy
- poor driver support from ViewSonic
- menu GUI looks outdated

Other Thoughts: Bought it during black friday. Box was damaged but no damage to the unit. No dead pixels out of the box. Bluray movies look amazing. MW2 look awesome. HD tv channels look great. Speakers are decent. It's a decent upgrade from a 27' LCD.
