1 out of 5 eggsDead

Pros: Low price
Picture quality was OK

Cons: Poor quality. Died twice. Once in warranty, once just after warranty ended. The picture works for a few minutes then goes blank.

Other Thoughts: Not worth the low price. Spend a little more and get a brand that is more likely to last.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed

Pros: Decent picture for a great Black Friday deal $220

Cons: The unit began to have issues with the display. The screen would periodically turn black, then blue with "no signal" on the screen. At first, unplugging it and plugging it back in would fix it. However, the intervals unplugged would get longer and the time it would work got shorter. Very disappointed in this brand. I've seen their tvs previously and liked the picture.

The worst part is that I recommended this tv to my parents. Their first HDTV was less than impressive to say the least. Trying to decide if I want to try repairing or just cut our losses.

Other Thoughts: I've had plenty of luck with budget brand electronics in the past, but this brand has some serious quality control issues.

1 out of 5 eggspower supply failure

Pros: cheap price

Cons: power supply failed after 3 months. Going through RMA process with sceptre at the moment.

Other Thoughts: hopefully new power supply will last. My Proview 32in LCD that is 5yrs old is still running smoothly. I probably won't buy Sceptre again.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat deal

Pros: It is the best quality to price ratio possible. when i bought this on black friday it was $220. Since then I have not even seen any other 32" 720p TVs on Newegg for less than $260. This TV has a pleasantly surprising picture quality, and ALL of the essential input connectors.

Cons: like everyone else has said, speakers aren't the greatest.

Other Thoughts: I am happy with my purchase. For those curious, This TV + PS3 = amazing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood enough for a starter set.

Pros: Nice looking unit. Low price ($220 black friday deal). Plenty of inputs. Tuner seems to work well enough on digital channels. No bad pixels on my unit.

Cons: Blacks are not very good. I don't notice it unless I have a completely black screen, but there is an area near the bottom of my screen that has a bit of a clouded look. Also, the tv sat slightly crooked on my stand. It isn't too bad, but I have no way to adjust it beyond propping up one side of the tv against the side of my entertainment center.

Other Thoughts: I'm upgrading from a cheap 27" CRT, so I'm easily impressed.

2 out of 5 eggsBad Luck

Pros: It was a very nice looking set especially for the money. The base was as others had mentioned, but it didn't seem at risk of breaking. I like that it attached and removed with screws, not plastic teeth that would have been a pain to get off.

Cons: Mine was DOA. Just bad luck I suppose, but I rely on the reviews here as much as anyone to determine the likelihood of getting a lemon.

Other Thoughts: Seems like lots of other people got them just fine. Newegg shipped it fast, and did a great job of handling my RMA. I will always buy here.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV for the Price

Pros: Great Picture, nice looks, great price.

Cons: Speakers in back didn't sound good in cabinet installation. Added PC speakers that are volume controlled through TV/remote via mini/stereo jack and that is now great too.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly Good

Pros: Price, of course, but also picture quality which was a pleasant surprise for me. I own some other 720p LCD sets so I can compare apples to apples. This set has a better picture than my Sony KDL Bravia (base model). Not quite as good as my JVC (which cost 5x as much $ a few short years ago), but close. Good adjustment options for a base set. Fairly intuitive menu.

No stuck pixels at all. None! Very happy about that.

Cons: The base is flimsy, weighs about 1 lb. Doesn't give any confidence that it will keep the set from toppling over some day.

Flimsy remote too but that's expected in the budget line sets. At least it was responsive. Tiny buttons.

The sound is quite muffled out of the box. However, there is a graphic equalizer in the sound menu which is very helpful for improving it. Or, better yet, use the digital out and hook up to your receiver.

Other Thoughts: Arrived in great shape without a dent or bump of any kind on the box (thanks UPS). That was good because the box it comes in is thin. The box looked like it was opened at some point in the past (re-taping evident) which suggests a former return? But with everything in perfect order inside and absolutely no sign of prior use, I don't care.

The dynamic contrast option in the menu makes a big difference. Much better for me with it OFF.

Overall, could not be happier with this buy! Thanks newegg.
