Pros: compact and rechargeable, works nicely with cable. Newegg was very quick to ship and has excellent communications.

Cons: We are returning the unit because the internal antenna with the extension mounted at the top of the unit is useless. Going through the auto scan it picked up no stations/signals. We tried both inside and out of our home in a suburb of a decent size city. The antenna that has a magnetic mount picked up only one station but we ran the scan again a few feet away and closer to a window and the tv failed to pick up any stations again. We bought this with the desire to have visual coverage during huricanes. The 100 minute battery will not be useful once the power goes out since the battery is not a standard replaceable size. Wish it would have worked out. They need a better, more powerful engineering of the electronics design (tv signal receiver) to be worthwhile.

Other Thoughts: bottom line, not a good purchase until they engineer better reception. My husband is an electrical engineer and he said return it.

Pros: The Hd channels are very good.I live in canada but drive transport and was in Detroit mich today got all the hd channel watched tv for hours no overheatin and no problems but had to use the portable antenna that comes with the unit

Pros: Ease of operation. Purchased for a good price. Color and audio are fine. Worked well during the last power outages. Digital station reception very good.

Cons: Does not offer regular battery alternative as a power source. An optional AA external battery pack would be a plus. No carrying case.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have a backup generator, this is a must during a storm or a brownout.

Other Thoughts: I finally decided to replace an old Radio Shack handheld TV that I used during storms (I live in "Tornado Alley") It seemed to take forever to get some digital handheld TVs on the market. I'd say skip this one. It's bigger than I thought it would be, and tuning is a pain. Not a good option for riding out stormy weather.

Pros: I was impressed with it's picture, which was clear and crisp, and it's small size after seeing one in use at a gun show last Fall. I finally found one a few weeks later, but paid nearly twice as much as the one I bought on a Shell Shocker deal here at NuevoHuevo. Auto-tune found all the OTA channels in my area with just the onboard antenna, inside my home. Viewing angle is narrow, but can be seen clearly by 2-3 viewers at 4 feet. Works great with my camcorder to preview video too. Although the resolution is not the best, it is quite acceptable. I'm perfectly happy with the picture quality. I could clearly read the stat boxes at the top of the screen during the Super Bowl! It's a lot smaller than the toaster-oven sized outdated color portable it replaced. Picture adjustments were very easy. Unit is solid, lots of accessories, and the included remote is a plus.

Cons: No cons except the possibility the teeny-tiny remote might get misplaced easily. The remote actually fits in the watch pocket of my Levi's!

Other Thoughts: I keep one in the kitchen and the second one is in my 4x4 and used for camping and fishing trips. Both units have the same clear picture and are built well. They came with all the accessories I could need. I was so pleased with my first unit that when I saw the Shell Shocker deal I didn't hesitate to get another. Reviewers complaining about having to adjust the picture, sound, and power on the unit instead of with the remote need to get a grip! This is a personal portable TV that is watched within arm's distance! I still have to enter the "-" sign (4-1 for 4.1) to get a digital channel even on my Samsung 55" HDTV remote! The handy remote does everything it's supposed to do. Come on folks, it's just a portable TV and a very good one at that! Don't berate this great little TV because it doesn't do everything your HDTV does. Really? (I'm trying to figure out how to set up both TV's so I can watch in 3-D. LOL!) ;-)

Pros: Light weight, and has a clear picture on channels that it does get.

Cons: This tv does not get good reception at all. I could only get one or two channels . Tried everything to get better reception, but it just does not work.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my father for a Christmas present in 2008, when all the channels switched to digital, when his old analog version would not longer be useful. At that time there were only one or two digitial tv's on the market. I paid $180 back then for this. Glad to see the price has came down. He never could get any channels, so my Step-mom bought a new tv for his birthday last year. Now I have a new tv for the one channel that I can get.

Pros: Even when plugged in it does not charge battery while the TV is turned on.

Cons: Newegg's price went way down after my purchase. No carry case included. Manual and documentation unclear on battery charging procedures. For optimum battery life this is critical information. BEFORE USING for the first time plug it in and leave it OFF for at least 8 hours for proper charge.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for both a security camera monitor and emergency TV when needed (hurricane season) but it also works well as an external monitor for my camcorder. I was worried that with all day use the battery would overcharge and get hot but it only charges from the wall plug when the TV is off. EXTRA BONUS USE. I'm buying a neoprene case and taking this camping also. 4 TV's in one.

Cons: Even when I hooked it up to my cable, it was only able to get a few cable stations. Was not even able to get one channel even with the external antenna.
