incredible TV
- Pros: We were replacing a Pioneer 46" rear projection set that lasted us over 20 years. It turns out a 42" flat screen is exactly the same size in width. We wanted plasma for the best picture quality for movies but like everyone else were worried about all the negatives. This set has NO negatives. It's 11th generation screen has a 30-year lifespan, uses no more power than an LCD, brighter and better blacks, anti-reflective screen works great, relatively light weight and does an exceptional job of upscaling old videos and cable TV. DiVX movies look great on it, HDMI DVD player looks like HD even when it isn't. Easy to set up, outstanding picture quality. Built-in SDHC card reader.
- Cons: none - I can't think of anything that detracts from this set.
- Other Thoughts: With movies this set looks so good we've been going back to all our favorite films to see them again. We don't watch TV except for movies and documentaries but I've found even the Weather Channel looks so good you can get caught up watching it. This unit makes movies look better than they do in a theater.
Plenty of inputs and outputs. It integrated easily with my stereo system. I got HDMI and Component video cables from Newegg for a fraction of what they charge at all the local stores. Of all the 42" plasma sets available this one stands out for picture quality and new generational features. We compared dozens of sets at local stores before seeing this one and knowing immediately this was the one.
- Pros: It seems as though Panasonic has ended all of the stereotypes about plasma TVs. This TV is NOT extremely heavy. I mounted it myself. It does not heat up AT ALL. AND the screen does not reflect ANYTHING! I have only had this TV for a day, but it seems to be great. I was a little nervous about buying a plasma after everthing that I read online. But this is a great TV.
- Cons: I have not found any yet.

Great Value
- Pros: Really great picture for the price. The other reviews cover everything. I love my TV.
- Cons: No PC input.
Excellent Quality
- Pros: We purchased this television for my 85 year old mother-in-law as a replacement for the aging 25 in. tube television that she's had for years. The picture quality is amazing but the best part is that this television has opened up her world, as she had difficulty seeing the screen and images on her old T.V. due to vision problems. This has been a real life-enhancing upgrade for her. She watches only one channel and according to her, CSI never looked THIS good. Who knows, maybe she'll become inspired and decide to live dangerously and try a new channel or two someday.
We have a larger version of this television at home and this one is the same quality that we've become accustomed to with this brand. This 42" size works very well in a small living room or would be ideal also for a larger bedroom.
- Cons: Absolutely none.
- Other Thoughts: NewEggs's delivery was so fast that we were stunned. I don't know how NewEgg does it but virtually every order gets here within 2 days or less.
We were a bit nervous about ordering a plasma television online but when it arrived, the box and television were in perfect condition and the delivery people were helpful and professional.

Picture quality is very good 4 give it a 4 of 5 ...going from a tube television to a flat panel.
You're not going to get a HD quality picture unless you receive HD channels or have blu-player and discs or HD DVD player/HD DVD discs...to the people that buy a HD TV and expect awesomeness right out of the box!!
Remote is pretty simple, nothing to complicated about it.
Set up was pretty straight foward...slide the legs of the stand into the back of the display and four bolts...there u go.
Happy with delivery and service...over all 5/5 buy!
And the delivery guy stood around and made sure there was no damage to the TV! Superb!
- Cons: None that I can think of for the price i paid.
- Other Thoughts: Its an excellent purchase for those who have never owned a HD tv! I would do it again!
