Fantastic Buy
- Pros: Best picture I've seen for a TV this size at this price range.
I shopped for a TV for about 4 months, and this is far superior to similar products, both LCD and Plasma
Beautiful design
Simple Setup

Surprisingly good sound, Simulated surround was impressive.
All kinds of great features
- Cons: The glossy frame smudges easily. Really, thats the only flaw, but if you do'nt touch it, it doesn't matter... at all.
Haven't seen any burn-in, but with a plasma it is always a (very very very small) possibility.
- Other Thoughts: This is the clear choice for 42" flat panels. At newegg, its dirt cheap, almost $300 less than at best buy, and it was quickly processed and delivered... for free. Very happy with this product. Suggested to all who love television, movies, games, anything.
About the burn-in, If you keep your brightness/contrast below 50% for the first 100 hours or so of viewing, you will have literally no threat of burn in ever again. kind of like "breaking in" the set.
AoC looks great on it
- Pros: Great price given size, inputs, quality and features.
- Cons: No complains here. I'm not a hardcore "videoholic" but from what I see this plasma delivers an excellent picture!!!
- Other Thoughts: I made this purchase for two purposes. 1) To watch blue ray movies and they look GREAT, using a Panasonic BD30K (also purchased from newegg) and couldn't be happier. 2) To play Age of Conan and it looks freakin great!!! You have to sit a bit close to the screen to read the text, player and npc name tags but I don't care really care about that. The game looks great on this display and I'm extremely happy with it. Connected to plasma via a DVI to HDMI cable and running game on an Asus Maximus Formula, Intel QX6850, 4GB Ram, Velociraptor HDD, ATI 4850 x2, Vista64. Have everything on MAX settings (except AA, almost max) at 1920 x 1080 and effects and gameplay are great.

Great TV
- Pros: Amazing TV. The best Blacks I have seen on a TV other than the Pioneer's.
No Jaggies, No blur, Blue Ray looks amazing.
The fake surround sound is neat. Sound quality is good.
- Cons: * No Headphone jack. Not a huge problem.
* Up close (within 3 feet) you can see a decent amount of video distortion. They could have shielded it better.
* Colors are not as Rich as other T.V.'s
* The Menu options are very limited for piturte adjustment.
* I'm a pretty competitive player for H3 and COD4. I noticed the slighested delay comparied with my old CRT. Im not sure if its the T.V. but there seems to be some lag that was never there before. I have no benchmarks tho to back this up.
- Other Thoughts: With all that being said I think this is a great tv and well worth the price. I paid less than 1000 for it and I think that is a steel considering it blows most if not all tvs away in this price range.
Awesome!
- Pros: This is a great TV. I had the plasma vs. lcd battle going on in my head for a while and figured since I watch more television at night time, plasma would be the superior choice. I could not be happier with this tv. Great for gaming. I have my PS3 hooked up to it and games and bluray look amazing!
- Cons: none so far
- Other Thoughts: This is my first HDTV and couldn't have been happier with my purchase. Also picture settings make it nice and easy to go from gaming on my PS3 to watching Bluray movies.
Love this TV
- Pros: Gorgeous picture, brilliant colors, good sound (but I use a separate audio system). This set blows away comparable LCD's.
- Cons: Wow this thing generates some heat. Well worth a little heat for the quality of the picture.
- Other Thoughts: I shopped for at least 6 months for an LCD set for our bedroom. After I looked at this set I could not make myself go with an LCD. Big bright beautiful color picture!!!
