Pros: The TV has an awesome picture - bright, sharp colors, good size. It does have issues with glare from lights, but that's any plasma TV. It's also got good sound - full and rich. It was easy to set up, too. For the price - $499, we have no complaints on that front.
Cons: * Hubby said it was heavier than he expected. * The support bolts for the stand are aluminum and one of the screws wouldn't thread right. It's still pretty stable, but that was an irritation. * Shipping! Shipping was HORRIBLE. Hubby and I will NEVER, EVER order a TV from New Egg again. In fairness to New Egg, they did refund our shipping cost, but it was still awful. Firstly, they do NOT use UPS. They contract to AIT which is a logistics company. AIT then sub-contracts with various freight haulers to ship your TV. If you're near a major shipping hub, this isn't a big deal. If you aren't, though - I'd say go elsewhere. Our TV took us nearly two weeks to get here, despite New Egg saying it would be 3-5 business days. It ended up being TEN! (10) business days, so 12 days in total. Again, it was bad enough that we will never again order a television through New Egg. They still rock for computer components, though :-)
Other Thoughts: * If you've got older surround sound, you might want to check your surround sound / stereo set-up. Ours was not compatible. Thankfully, the TV's built-in sound was better than our old surround sound system, anyway :-)

Rating: 5/5Great Television
Pros: Great television; this is my second Panasonic television and I am pleased overall. The picture and quality is amazing. The price is almost scary reasonable and the quality is very very good. Excellent shipping through AIT from Tennessee to southern Oklahoma (in the sticks) in just four days. Courier, assisted me with the opening and physical inspection of the unit, very friendly and helpful. Great $800.00 unit for $500.00 what else could one say? I highly recommend. Thanks Newegg and Panasonic for looking out for those who are retired and on a fixed income.
Cons: No Con; However, Panasonic televisions are better that the acting coming from today’s movies…. Hahhahha On a serious note, only having Digital Output connection, it could have use a audio AV(RCA jack) L/R output so you could hook-up an older sound system.
Other Thoughts: Excellent picture! For the money, it is a keeper. Easy set-up for everyday use and abuse, (watching todays overall horrible movies this not only does the job), however, it makes most bad movies look great.

Rating: 4/5Panasonic Viera TC-P42C1
Pros: Great Plasma for the price, excellent picture quality and deep blacks. This is a fantastic TV for someone a budget.
Cons: None besides only 2 hdmi inputs and its not 1080p.
Other Thoughts: Very impressed with Panasonic, for only a 720P Plasma the picture quality in standard and hi definition is better then i expected after some mild adjustments. After researching and viewing models in store, this unit from newegg at under $500 is a great deal. The shipping company newegg used was top notch. Very satisfied with my purchase

Rating: 5/5So Sweet for 500 bucks
Pros: Picture looks awesome. This 720p plasma might just look better than my 1080p LCD. Very happy with the 500 dollar purchase for my bedroom TV. The shipping was unbelievable. I had my TV 2 days after I ordered it. Gotta love Newegg for their shipping :)
Cons: None at the moment

Rating: 5/5Very nice
Pros: Very clean picture. Surprised I could get such quality out of 720P and only $499 on sale! Wife and I were looking for our first HD TV without spending much, as we are still saving up for our Sony XBR series that we want. This is a temp tv that will go in our bedroom later on. I love it! Not even subscribing to HD programming with Directv and picture is still clean and crisp. PS3 and Xbox360 games look absolutely beautiful. Setup is a breeze and the styling of the tv is great. I have no complaints at all. I don't use the built in speakers as I have a nice surround sound setup also bought from Newegg. If you are in the market for a cheap but nice tv, I'd highly recommend this for sure. I have no remorse at all for getting this Plasma from Panasonic.
Cons: Had to buy a new entertainment center! lol Not a con, figured this was the case before I bought it, but what's a review without a con? haha
Other Thoughts: Buy it! For the price, I can't imagine anything much better.

Rating: 5/5Beautiful
Pros: I read reviews like, "the 720 picture is better than my 1080 LCD, i thought, "suuure" I got it and it is amazing! It actually looks better than my samsung 1080p 40" that i have now moved into our extra bedroom/workout room. Also, it doesnt heat your room up 20+ degrees like the super bright backlit LCDs.
Cons: Not as bright and vibrant as LCD, but picture quality and motion tracking more than make up for the brightness that you wouldn't need anyway.
Other Thoughts: Bought it for the extra bedroom, but it ended up in the master! Never thought a plasma would perform so well especially for a 720.

Rating: 4/5Waiting to see
Pros: Price
Cons: Shipping Time sucked. I ordered early on April 1st. I received it on April 15. The only reason I received it then is because I had to call the company 4 times to see what the problem is. Otherwise it would have been longer. They used 3 different companies to get it to me in Spokane, WA.
Other Thoughts: Newegg has usually been good on shipping but how they ship TVs suck on delivery time.

Rating: 5/5IT IS 720p
Pros: Plasma offers the best blacks.
Cons: If you write up the speakers as a con you really aren't being fair. Built-in TV speakers are always adequate, never awesome. IF you want great sound get a receiver and separate speakers.
Other Thoughts: Just wanted to comment. I have the P42X1 plasma from Panasonic. In reference to the first reviewer, 720p refers to the vertical resolution. 768 lines of resolution is indeed 720p. The horizontal resolution makes no difference. In the 42" to 55" size there's very little discernible difference between 720p and 1080p, especially at only 5-6 feet from the tv.
