Pros: Great picture, easy setup. Just looks darn good.
Cons: Not a con, I now wish I went for the 54-incher. Too bad Newegg doesn't carry the 50-inch model.
Other Thoughts: If you're looking for an excellent plasma and you can afford this model, go for it. The picture and Internet connectivity are a real plus.

Best HDTV for the price

Pros: -Panasonic plasma quality for an excellent price -Accurate colors and great blacks right out of the box -No screen judder -Enough inputs for me -SD card reader -Ethernet port for Viera cast and firmware updates -All the HDTV features you'd expect -Best plasma available in this size and price range. -No noticeable defects (no scratches, dead pixels, damaged anti-reflective screen coating, etc.)
I did plenty of research before purchasing. For my budget, this was the best HDTV on the market. I considered LCD, but out of all the pros and cons plasma has the biggest advantage and that's image quality.
I'd also like to note that the trucking company Newegg uses for large items, AIT, did a great job with the delivery. Got it to me in 2 business days (not including the pickup day) and it arrived in the standing position strapped to the inside of the truck, which is how a plasma should be delivered. Box was in perfect condition and the delivery guy was very helpful.
Cons: I honestly cannot think of any. I guess I could say SD source content doesnt look that great but that's pretty much unavoidable with HDTVs.
Other Thoughts: Not related to the product, but my order was delayed 2 days at the processing stage due to my billing address not matching my shipping address which raised a red flag with Newegg. This was my fault, although I am a bit disappointed that Newegg didnt make more of an effort to inform me that this was causing the hold up. After a couple days I realized myself and fixed the issue with my CC company. I wonder though, if I had not realized this how long would the order have stalled at the "processing" stage??

Awesome

Pros: I can't imagine hi-def looking better than what this TV can deliver. I usually just watch Blu-ray movies and I have a TV room setup to make the environment dark. The colors, contrast, and dark levels are so good that sometimes the images look like they are 3D. Sorry LCD people, but for hi-def dark room viewing, this Plasma is just awesome.
Cons: None if you know what you are getting into; if you have a bright window in the background or a lamp on behind you, you'll see it reflected in the screen. But who watches movies during the day or with lights on behind you.
Other Thoughts: Watch the "Mouse Circus" (2d version) from the movie Coraline on this TV and you'll be blown away with the dark level and color clarity. Remember, plasmas produce the light and color from every pixel vs. LCD which tries to block the light from back-lighting. It's like each little pixel is a sparkling diamond on the plasma... sorry for the rant but the TV is awesome. I came from an LCD and I can't see how an LCD in the dark could ever be better.
