Pros: also got it on sale for $350 through an email promotion. for the price, this 40" can't be beat. picture is great. set up is pretty straight-forward.

5 out of 5 eggsvery suprised

Pros: -got it on sale for $350
-outstanding picture quality for the price
-needed 0 setup out of the box for great picture
-sound was also great as compared to most tv's I've owned, which is a lot.
-the 120hz led is no gimmick on this set, as I have seen on plenty before it.
-holds its own against the big names, tv, blu ray, gaming or whatever, Ive yet to find a fault.

Cons: -price,,,if you don't get it on sale, you can find better sets for $500
-while it has great tech stats, 1080p doesn't really shine on sets less than 42in in size.

4 out of 5 eggsGood overall TV

Pros: I really do enjoy this TV. I purchased it principally to play my PS3 and that is really about all I have done with it--doubt I've even clocked in 24 hours of anything other than gaming on it. Very Nice size TV for the price; it's slim and looks good in the room; and the TV turns standard TV into HD (for limited channels; where applicable).

Cons: TV is wobbly; speakers are descent (very limited time listening through speakers, always have gaming headsets hooked up; Westinghouse logo is crooked (minor superficial blemish, however, it has annoyed me for over a year); HDMI inputs are in a tricky place, however, the input location allows for a great cluster-free look.

Other Thoughts: Overall I really like this TV. It's a nice size TV for the price and you get a good TV. I plan on using this TV as my primary home television until it hits the fan (could be waiting awhile).

5 out of 5 eggs8 Months and I still really love it!

Pros: I needed a TV to replace the 46" Samsung I left with my ex GF in a trade agreement. She had 2 Westinghouse TVs that she had for 3 and 5 years. They were fine TVs, this TV upped the game with the picture quality as compared to her TVs. When i was TV shopping i decided that i wanted to give an American company a shot.

I Knew i wanted to use the TV as a secondary monitor but I hooked it up 5 months ago and it's been my only monitor since! The picture quality is GREAT. I can use it to type papers and for all my PC needs and there are no real issues that i would complain about! It gets used ALOT! I'm in school full-time so I'm typing papers, power point, playing recorded lectures, music, internet, video editing and photoshop. When i have 5 seconds to relax there is a good deal of video games and movies that i have enjoyed! My PC has Blu-ray and i have several hundred digital movies. I've experienced just about all the types of content you could possibly expect to experience! The sound is pretty good for a thin TV however, the speakers are the thickest part and as soon as i move I plan to hookup my surround sound. This brings me to the next point, Digital Optical OUT!!! It works and sounds great but I've only sampled it. I needed/wanted optical out and none of the other budget base TVs offered it (Samsung/LG/Sony/etc). This isn't a difficult unit to find for under 400 bucks so for the price i really don't think it can be beat... I shopped for along time and I was hesitant to purchase since Westinghouse seems to endure it's fare share of lack luster reviews but I have no complaints and am very happy! I was at Costco and they had this unit next to Vizio and Samsung, along with a few other brands. The Westinghouse was the closest to picture clarity with respect to the LG and Samsung, contrast isn't as good but now that it's home i can't tell a difference in the viewing experience from my old Samsung, i know that there are differences but very negligible! the overall look and feel of the unit is of a very high caliber if you don't take the wobbly base into consideration!

Picture Quality 9 out of 10
Sound 7.5 (better than my cousin's Panasonic GT50!)
contrast 7
features 6
inputs 7 (only 2 HDMI)
build quality 7.5 (wobbly base)
ease of use 10

Cons: -You aren't going to get a real lot of advanced features.
-the base sucks... no pivot and it's kinda sketchy when i pull it out to clean (wobbly). I have a mount and plan on using it so that won't be an issue for long.
-No way to adjust the true motion (120Hz) but it isn't obnoxious like most units so it shouldn't be an issue!?
-buttons are the "touch sensitive" and they sometimes get flaky, seems to be if the temp drops below 65 degrees F!? If you use the remote (i don't) it won't be an issue.
-I had some weird issues with the HDMI, as the PC sat it went into idle state and i wiggle the mouse to bring the picture back (as it was shutting down) the picture froze and i had to power cycle the TV. (only happened 2 times)? I had similar issues with my LG.
- back-light has some minor bleed issues at the edges but watching Matrix and Sherlock Holmes (both low light/contrast dependent) i have no qualms!
-the internal clock will not stay set!?
-only 2 HDMI but if you have an AMP then you only need one ;)

Other Thoughts: both the picture and sound offer improvements with the right settings. The sound is good but not great, if you consider that it's a thin flat screen then it's pretty good! I like the sound for movies and games but when i listen to music i would have to say that there is a lack of depth to most of the instrumentals... Again, this is a flat screen TV not really intended for rocking out the tunes but if volume is what your looking for then this is the loudest TV i have EVER owned and it can handle the volume upwards of 85-90% of max without much degradation!? If i mess with the settings on the TV and Media Player I can get some pretty good sound for music but then general sound isn't that great so i just leave it at an in-between setting and I can enjoy the sound for what it's worth!

5 out of 5 eggsgreat tv for cost

Pros: I got my tv from Costco for a lot cheaper, but still at this price it's a good buy. Speakers are great, quality is great. Easy user interface.

Cons: VGA not a dvi port. Only 2 hdmi

Other Thoughts: Great tv regardless.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Purchase

Pros: -120hz is great if you're going to be watching film on it.
-The color reproduction is great, stunning actually.
-The built-in speaker system is a lot better than most other slim flat screens.
-Slim, 120hz, LED TV for an amazing price, I got it for more than $100 cheaper on a Black Friday sale.
-No Backlight Bleed, when I read reviews on other sites, I can't remember reading one saying there was backlight bleed.
-Has 2 HDMI, Component, and a VGA inputs.
-Was far and beyond the best "Bang4Buck" TV, I can still see it there.
-No ghosting.

Cons: -I wish there were more inputs, especially HDMI. I understand that its an industry standard and I knew about the amount of inputs before buying. It just would have made the product even better.
-I wish there were DVI instead of VGA, VGA is no longer the standard on Computer Graphics Cards, its now DVI, DisplayPort, or HDMI, and with only two HDMI ports, I have to use a DVI to VGA converter, because the two HDMI ports are occupied (Cable Box, Blu Ray). Preferably there would be a DVI AND a VGA though.

Other Thoughts: I played with an xbox 360 on here for a little over a week until my monitor came in, and I noticed no input lag. I can compare it to a 26" Monitor and to a 32" CRT from right before they stopped being produced. Playing on this TV reminded me of playing on the CRT I have. *Note I was playing over a VGA connection.
