5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Works great. It's huge.

Cons: When the TV is on, I can see a small image projected onto the wall behind the TV. It doesn't bother me, though, as you can't see it unless you're looking behind the TV, and why would you do that?

Other Thoughts: I wanted some big bang for my buck and am not disappointed. This TV is everything I'd hoped it would be.

3 out of 5 eggsLarge

Pros: lots, and lots of real estate. a great deal bigger than a 50" TV, good picture, internet "capable"

Cons: bulb makes a high pitched noise when starting up. Takes a minute to start/shut off. Picture quality is not nearly as good a plasma, can notice the plastic screen, "swiggles". Off axis viewing is really noticeable, as little as 15 deg. (up, down, left, right) darker spots, etc.

Other Thoughts: my wifi adapters (5 different USB) didn't work, not supposed to but thought I'd try

5 out of 5 eggsSweet sweet TV

Pros: LOTS of real estate. I use this tv to stream netflix to and game. Pull up full screen mario kart or fallout to wow your buddies, not to mention yourself the first time. Picture is amazing. Price can't be beat for the size (though it's listed as a little higher these days). Also light as heck; an oldschool 20 inch rear projection is harder to lift than this baby.

Cons: -Not flat. You'll need to buy a stand.
-You can hear the tv itself (the bulb fan). Not a big deal, except it can stick out if there's a silent moment in the movie/game.
-The default color setting is kind of goofy.

Other Thoughts: -Not as thick as you would think. Also the screen seems to emit not nearly as much heat as an lcd.
-Takes a little while to shutdown (has to cool the bulb first). So be careful what buttons you press. If you accidentally hit the power, you have to wait for it to shutdown then power it back on.
-I think it's "Brilliant" brightness level distorts some colors (it's the default setting).
-People say the remote sucks? Pfft, I've had far worse.
-Way down the road, when I upgrade over this, It'll be dlp again if their price/size ratio is still beating out the competing technologies as bad as they are now. But then that could all change.

4 out of 5 eggsBig Bang for your Buck

Pros: This is The perfect TV for a home theater style set-up, no squinting your eyes with this screen!! Plays Games great ( a Playstation 3) and you get immeresed into movies easily.

Cons: Unless you can see a 60" DLP in person you might not realize how thick the width of the back is. its not huge but its not like an lcd or plasma that is easily mounted, i recommend a stand.

Other Thoughts: Newegg went with Ait with my shipping ( i heard they like the way Ait handles your merchandise better then other shippers, which they do) and it longer to get my order then i thought. It took about 20 days for shipping, but in their defense they help bring it up and were willing to wait to make sure the TV worked before they left. The one other thing i would say is know it needs a starter kit for you to use 3d functions.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful picture

Pros: - A lot of screen for your dollar.
- Picture is crystal clear.
- Intuitive setup. Didn't even open the manual.
- HD channels and HD movies are absolutely beautiful.
- Light; only 60 pounds.
- Got it on sale Black Friday with free shipping.

Cons: - Takes about 30 seconds to turn on and warm up.
- I noticed if you accidentally turn off, it probably takes a minute to come back on. Bulb has to cool off and then the tv will allow it to come back on.
- I could use one more HDMI input. It comes with 3 and I have those filled.

Other Thoughts: You won't go wrong with this TV. The picture is stunning. It's inexpensive for the size and fairly thin compared to the old crt it replaced.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Huge amount of screen for relatively low price. The wow factor on this is pretty high. It has great colors, lots of screen real estate and is really easy to set up. It's light and easy to move around.

I'm 100% happy with this purchase.

Cons: Would have been great if it came with at least 1 HDMI cable. Must buy those separately.

Other Thoughts: Sound isn't fantastic, but if you have a home theater setup, you'll already have another sound source. It's usable, but nothing mind blowing.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't beat it

Pros: This TV is awesome. The colors are bright, the blacks are dark, and there is no "rainbow" effect. One thing I noticed as well during setup there is a fan to keep the bulb cool, and the TV runs the fan after shutoff until the bulb is cool, this will make the bulb last longer. Another thing that is nice they built it to look like and LCD in that there is a narrow base below the screen, so you can get a narrow stand.

Cons: The only con for us was being we had a rear projection TV previously we had to go out and buy a stand.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to say something about the shipping here. I had read reviews about broken items shipped via truck, and NewEgg has a very difficult return policy on this large item. This item was ordered on Wed, shipped on Friday, and we received it on the following Friday (with a phone call Wed to schedule delivery). The TV box had a few scuffs, but the TV was perfect. I tipped the driver a few extra bucks and he helped me place it on the stand, I hooked up the cable box and made sure it worked before I signed for it.
