DLP is great
Pros: I have the 65 inch version of this TV and it is superior to any LCD TV I own. Even beat the 1080dp I have. Blue ray also shows great. Viewing from any angle is clear not like LCD which is fuzzy close up or angle viewing. I hope Mitsubishi keeps making the DLP.
Cons: The blub lasted three years but only cost $110. and is very easy to install. Just remove small back panel with a screw driver remove the old and snap in the new. Screw the panel back on... Anyone can do it. I bought an extra blub for the future.
Other Thoughts: Four stars because of the bulb life. I have owned it for 4 years now and still can't beleive it beats LCD and LED hands down. To bad they don't make a 40 inch model.

do not touch:-(
Pros: Does have a nice picture.....and is easy to use......also who can deny the size and bang for the buck......but
Cons: After a few years 3-4 if you are lucky......the mirrors that the light reflects off start to stick and you end up with white and black dots all over the screen. To replace the part its $ 700(not including labor). And mitsubishi is in denial. Google white dots on mitsubishi dlp tvs and you will see hundreds and hundreds of people with this problem. The hd forum even made a sepret section on it. All i can say is buyers beware dont let the pretty picture blame blind you. Really do the research.
Other Thoughts: Good luck and hope this helps........

Best Bang For The $$$
Pros: Best picture I've ever seen on a TV. Watching Blu-Ray movies I've seen subtle colors I didn't know where in the movie (watched before on DVD with a 42" LCD TV like Star Wars Episode I). I bought the Disney "WOW" Blu-Ray to set up this TV, but using the "Bright" preset I haven't needed to touch a thing. And it's BIG!
Cons: Simple 2 channel sound that is kinda take it or leave it. OK for watching the news, other than that........
Other Thoughts: 3 HDMI inputs, component input and port for IR 3D emitter. This TV also supports DLP link for 3D glasses that use it which is the way I'm going (needs no emitter if using DLP link glasses like the True Depth DLP link model). You really need a surround receiver/speakers with this thing. No external 3D processor needed, supports several different modes natively. Base model, but it's beautiful which is what you buy a TV for; The Picture! I bought this locally and not through Newegg, but I'm a long time Newegg customer.
