5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent TV. Has 4 HDMI for everything you can imagine as well as plenty of RCA/component.

Works great as a second monitor for my i7 PC in 1080p.

Cons: about $50 more than comparable 32" TVs. I guess you're paying for the "SONY" name

Audio kinda Blahs, but I use external speakers anyway.

Top of TV isn't exactly flat so my Wii sensor bar has to be Angled

Other Thoughts: Main reason why I bought this TV was because it had analog audio out such that I could use my 2.1 sound system with it. Served me well for ~3 months, would definitely recommend it to others!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little TV

Pros: Great picture for movies. Dissipates some sun glare nicely. Setup took about 5 minutes, including reading the instruction manual. Plenty of options to play with. Since it's in my bedroom, the sleep timer is easy to access (although no dedicated button).

Cons: Preset scene contrast ratios are dark. 'General' one is good, but I needed to manually adjust mine.

Other Thoughts: Bedroom tv where I just added an HD box. Signal/picture's great. Remote is large with a lot of open real estate. Screen automatically sets to zoom view if not HD signal, and you know what? It's actually done well. Faces aren't stretched out like a fun house mirror. The best way the manual describes it would be like the 5 on a die, where each of those 5 dots are individually stretched to fill the screen.

5 out of 5 eggsEpic TV

Pros: Price! - Got it for 412 shipped from another site. Yes, I know Sonys are normally overpriced, but this was actually a fantastic deal.

Customization - Plenty of options to tinker with for Picture, Sound, Presets, Favorites, and other various settings. So if for some reason you don't like the picture quality or sound quality, it's only because you haven't messed with the options enough.

Inputs - 4 HDMIs (2 in the back, 2 on the side), 2 Components, USB Input, and even a PC Input.

Ambient Light Sensor - Detects the lighting conditions in the room and optimizes the picture to match.

Bravia Sync - I'm able to control my Phillips Blu-Ray player with the TV Remote, thanks to Bravia Sync.

Looks great with everything I've thrown at it so far. XBox 360, Blu-Ray player, HD Dish Network receiver (HD Movies and other HD Content)

Sports look great. Got the TV just in time for playoffs, couldn't be happier.

Others to list, but these are the first that come to mind.

Cons: The scene presets (Cinema, Sports, General, etc.) look a little bit dark. They are fully customizable, and remember your choices when you switch to another scene or another input though, so a little tinkering can fix whatever gripes you may have with defaults.

Sits low. The stand for the TV sits a lot lower than for my old HDTV (Sylvania). At first, because of this, the TV looked a lot smaller than it actually is.

Picture in Picture only works between the computer input and a different output. To my knowledge, you can not do say, HDMI 1 picture in picture with Component 1.

Other Thoughts: Didn't buy this on Newegg. For once, I actually found a better deal elsewhere. I got it on GearXS for $380, $412 shipped.

5 out of 5 eggsTHIS TV IS GREAT!!!!!

Pros: Everything is AMAZING about this TV. The picture quality is excellent and it works great with my Xbox 360. I had to do a little adjusting to some of the picture menu items to get it just the way I want it, but there's nothing wrong with that. It was so easy to do! And Newegg delivery was awesomely quick and arrived at my house in 3 days! I wasn't expecting it that soon!

Cons: The price was a little more than I wanted to pay for a TV, but this was worth every penny I'd spent!

Other Thoughts: Don't even waste your time looking at any other TV other than this one. It's one of the best looking TV's out there!!!

5 out of 5 eggsPIP DETAILS

Pros: This is a nice Television, I own a 42 inch Bravia and was so impressed with it Looked specifically for a Sony when I decided I needed a TV for my bedroom that could double as a monitor.

Picture in Picture was the one function that was a must have for this purchase. Being ADD, I enjoy being able to watch TV while doing homework or surfing the web, and I wanted one device to fit both bills. I was considering one of the new Samsung Monitors with built in tuners but upon contacting there tech support I found out that the only thing that can be displayed in the PIP of the Samsung are the ANALOG inputs from the Coaxial input.

This Sony on the other hand allows you to use it as a Monitor and have either the over the air channels, the cable channels, or HDMI input as the PIP, thereby allowing you to go directly out of your cable box and into the HDMI input and have the PIP in HD if you want. Or for that matter you could watch a DVD or Blueray in the PIP.

Cons: THE PIP function only seems to work when you use the VGA input for the PC. The Tech people at Sony, as wonderful as they are seem to be mistaken when they say you can use the HDMI input for the computer. You can use it to display, but you will not be able to use the PIP function unless you use the VGA input. I would have been happier if the PC in was a DVI but honestly i dont see any appreciable difference in display quality.

Other Thoughts: Though I am a loyal NewEgg customer, I purchased this TV from Best Buy. There was no appreciable price difference and the Best Buy people were very considerate, allowing me to hook up my laptop to their display unit several times while I figured out how the PIP function worked, they even loaned me a VGA cable (the one cable I did not bring with me) to help me figure out how it worked.

5 out of 5 eggsLove It

Pros: Absolutely gorgeous picture. Everything about it is amazing I try as hard as I can to think about something that I dont like about it and I cant come up with anything. I think I might ask this tv to marry me. Also, its the perfect fit for a bedroom or small apartment.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Newegg was fast but the ups lady "claims" she knocked on the door but we didnt hear anything lol so I managed to chase her down and get the tv :p

5 out of 5 eggsSony Bravia 32" 1080p (EX500)

Pros: I absolutely love this TV. Best bang for the buck. Amazing picture (especially with the contrast ratio). It has an incredibly bright and radiant screen (although I would recommend turning off the ambient sensor). The 4 HDMI inputs are a huge plus for having multiple hi-def devices. The other great thing is that for gaming there isn't any noticeable input lag. Can't go wrong with 1080p.

Cons: The sound isn't the greatest but I'd still give the sound an 8/10 the only con to the sound is the lack of bass. Other than that this is the perfect TV in the $500 range.

Other Thoughts: Once you know. You New-egg they never disappoint.
