5 out of 5 eggsAmazing TV

Pros: I did a good amount of research for a TV and I knew going into this that the Sony Bravia was a great TV. When I saw the PS3 as a free bonus, my decision came down to which model and size. I am not disappointed with my purchase at all. The image quality is amazing and the features are plentiful and useful. Streaming Netflix and Hulu directly to the TV are wonderful. Deep blacks were a requirement and I am very pleased with the Sony.

The 3D features are a nice and work better than I anticipated, but I was never impressed with the technology, even in theaters. Since I got this for free I am excited, but I would never pay for it. All that aside the 2D performance is outstanding. There are also plenty of inputs on the side and rear for all your connectivity needs.

Cons: The speakers are not the greatest, however for a small room they perform adequately and will hold their own until you can find a replacement system.

The Sony TVs should support a "send to TV" option via an application/plugin installed on your PC, but it does not work.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this TV during the holiday sales and got a PS3 and a 3D starter kit including 2 sets of glasses and the emitter, both for free. Even without those goodies, this TV was worth the sale price. I hardly use the 3D features and would have regretted forking out cash for the emitter and glasses, but since I got them for free its a nice novelty for watching football (which is filmed and transmitted in 3D).

4 out of 5 eggsHomework done and TV bought

Pros: After looking around and trying to find the best TV for my budget and room. This buy ended up a no brainer as the deal came with a PS3. Me, not having a blue ray player, pulled the trigger. It turns out the TV would have stood on it's own. Easy to set up, easy to use. Amazing picture quality. Plenty of inputs and adequate outputs.

Cons: The speakers on the TV are DEFINITELY not designed to really be used to push sound. You're buying a high quality TV with crumby speakers, not a moderate tv with moderate speakers. Since most people should have a sound system they're pumping their audio through, SONY makes sense in investing your money on the display.
My TV has a RCA connector (using it for the PS2) that's bad, but since it has enough connections, I can skip it and most everything's running through HDMI famously.
Those two issues together docked an egg.

Other Thoughts: People say, "Once you buy a TV, stop looking or you'll find a deal that will make you regret your purchase." This TV doesn't fall in that category. Great buy.

4 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: I got a great deal on this TV, which included a PS3. The 2d picture quality is fantastic. It has made watching previously viewed movies very interesting as one is able to see things not previously visible...and everything looks realer than real. Suddenly, characters look like actors on a set--not just characters in a movie. An unusual phenomenom. Though there is a degree of flashlighting and cloudiness (on a totally black screen)the blacks are very deep for an LED-LCD type television--the best I've seen. The cloudiness mentioned is only noticeable on a totally black screen, like a transistional screen on a video game---this is not noticable at any other time.

Cons: I dock 1-star due to the ghosting of 3d images, though I'm not sure if this is the TV or the source material. Occasionally (er, seldomly) full 3d landscapes are absolutely beautiful with no hint of ghosting but this seems to be the exception, not the rule. The ghosting seems to happen most often on high contrast objects (white against a black background) but it happens constantly. It seems that the refresh rate on these TV's (LCD) are not fast enough to perfectly sync with the 3d glasses--though I'm speculating. I have yet to try out a plasma in my home (Best Buy Panasonic demo did show ghosting) but it is rumored that their high refresh rates eliminate ghosting--unfortunately, the plasmas are unjustifiably more expensive (being a cheaper technology to manufacturer) and their are horror stories on the internet about the black levels falling (to a greenish or gray level) within a few weeks after purchase.

Other Thoughts: If you're like me and really want to experience cutting edge technology--go for it. Some of the effects and applications will really blow your mind. However, if you can wait for the price to come down, you should. One has to "hunt" for viewing material, and even the meciocre titles available are way overpriced.
