4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Price vs Performance

Pros: Low Cost, 1080P-720P-and 480P (Only available on HDMI inputs), SVGA resolutions (640x480-800x600-1024x768-1280x1024) only available on SVGA input), Many Inputs (including 3 HDMI), Built in HD Tuner, Great Picture Quality. It looks flawless on a GeForce8800GTX!!!

Cons: In my personal experience I had difficulties getting multiple PC's to correctly detect available resolutions on the TV. Of the 6 video cards I used, both ATI cards had issues using the monitor (9700 series), and the 4 NVIDIA cards wouldn't display properly on boot (not until windows was fully entered). The only video cards that had no issues were the series 7 and 8 Nvidia Geforce and FX cards.

Other Thoughts: In its defense, on a new video card that works properly with the monitor, it looks flawlessly AWESOME. It's well worth the money, just use it with a good computer to get the most out of it! Also, its not a flaw per-sei, but the brightness is ridiculously high (they intended it to be a movie player and not a monitor-obviously) so I recommend setting up the TV/monitor on first use to use slow start-up (extends the bulbs life), and drop the brightness to 45-50 (keeps your eyes from burning, its that bright!!!)

Pros: Great picture, decent sound. Looks great connected to xbox360 and home pc.

Cons: only stays on for 30(ish) min at a time. Then goes into a reset cycle that takes up to 2min. Getting it fixed is a pita!
Also the lamp life is somewhat shorter than stated. Toshibas 2007 lamps are known to fail or not work properly.

Other Thoughts: Knowing what this TV was going to really be like i should of saved a few houndred more and got a lcd projection.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great picture. Better than expected. No noticable fan noise. Half the weight of the toshiba it replaced.

Cons: Live in rural N.C.. Fedex only delivers with an 18 wheeler. I had to go to main hwy and get the TV.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good!

Pros: I have had this TV just over 1 month and have had no problems with it. It is my first HDTV and operates superbly. I have it installed in a dedicated room with a surround sound system. It operates with no problems or deficiencies. I purchased this model because I felt it gave the largest screen for the cost. I was also avoidant of the plasma screen due to gaming and the LCD due to $. I have been satisfied with this model. The TV is suprisingly light.

Cons: I have an elevated viewing platform. It was important to have the TV on a pedestal. I think mine is 24" off the ground and adequate for my "theater" seating. If I stand on the upper seating area, the TV blurs and darkens (rarely a problem as I am usually reclined while watching).

Other Thoughts: As of today, I think this is your best value for money. I didn't need a wall hanging model and thickness was not a concern. My son uses it for xBox 360 - Halo 3, Bioshock, and Assassin's Creed all looked fantastic on it.

5 out of 5 eggsQuit stalling - Buy It!

Pros: Owned and operated this unit since 8/10/2007 -- NO problems whatsoever. Absolutely the best picture I've seen in this size. Have physically seen and compared all the 65" other makes (DLPs and Plasmas) at local local stores. 1080p souce is a *MUST* or you won't get the image you're paying for! "Optional" *MUST* is a dedicated surround sound system - TV sound is "adequate" as expected, but great sound is needed for maximum cinema enjoyment!

Cons: You *NEED* a 65"+ wide, strong furniture console as a center-of-attention platform. None, zip, nada problems with this unit. Unfortunately, no headphone jack. Consumable lamp - need to switch to long-life, cool running, low electrical consuming LED light sourcing.

Other Thoughts: Features needed from next generation - Texas Instruments **Toshiba - take note!!** Stereo3D DLP implementation and refinement among ALL DLP HDTV manufacturers! LED light source implementation and refinement among ALL DLP HDTV manufacturers! Future LED refit to replace incandescent light source for the Toshiba 65HM167.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so Far

Pros: Great for the money. I have had the set for almost 6 months with no problems. I almost exclusively watch HD programming and the picture is great. I went to a local store to view it compared to more expensive DLP’s and the picture quality was as good or better. I purchased it from Newegg for a lot less money. HDDVD’s play great on it also.

Cons: None so far, I cant here the fan noise that others have talked about.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: Good picture good sound. Lots of inputs. Works great with my Nvidia GTS 8800. You can surf or play games in glorious 1920 x 1080. Even looks ok on non-hd channels when using the signal noise reduction options.

Cons: Fan is kinda loud and unit gets hot.

Other Thoughts: Great TV for the price. Heard lots of complaints about bulbs but i have no trouble (4 months in). I would easily recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Tv

Pros: Excellent colors, surprised by how great the sound is. Price was amazing got a hell of a deal at best buy. Def recommend it.

Cons: was kinda hard finding a big enough stand for a 65 inch tv. But who cares it was worth it.

Other Thoughts: Was not sure about lcd, plasma and dlp. Ended up getting dlp because i knew i was not going to mount it on a wall so that made no difference to me. It honestly is only like 1-2ft which to me seems fine.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Huge! Decent sound, trusted name. This is a great value!

Cons: The fan is loud! You only hear it when the TV is muted, so it's not that bad. But still, for this much money, they could have sprung for a better fan.

Other Thoughts: I've only watched this TV hooked up to an upsampling DVD player, so I haven't seen it's true potential yet. That said, a DVD looks pretty good, though with this big of a screen, you are going to seem some noise/artifacts unless you are using BluRay/HD-DVD.
