I love newegg
- Pros: This is just a great TV for the $. I looked around,Newegg was the cheapest, and thier service is unmatched. Free Shipping on this product. I ordered on a Saturday and was waiting at my house on Tuesday.
- Cons: None, really. For this price, (13-1400 Bucks) you cant get a better TV and I did my homework.
- Other Thoughts: If you dont want to spend 2-3 grand on a TV, this is a good one to get. had it for 3-4 months and has been great hooked up to my satellite.
Terrible reliability, support, part policy
- Pros: Average performance.
- Cons: We purchased this model’s relative, a Regza 42HL196, in September of 2006. In June of 2008, 20 months after purchase, the set failed totally, with a diagnosis of a bad lcd controller board. Toshiba does not sell this part separately (estimate cost $200-$400), but requires a full replacement of the panel which was quoted at $2789.70. This is $600 more than the price of the television. After waiting for customer service and a supervisor for 30 minutes, I was told that due to the age of the set, nothing could be done. Diagnosis cost $160 dollars as well.
Given Toshiba’s unreliability, and exorbitant part replacement strategies, I would run, not walk, to their competitors.

Incredible Value
- Pros: Unbeatable value. Paid $799 Shipped from Newegg which was as always, efficient, helpful, and fast. The picture is incredible, 3 rear HDMI on a sub-$1200 TV is hard to find. Lots of picture balancing options to make sure the TV looks the way you like. Sound is excellent for built-in speakers and the cabinet is sharp. The super-thin bezel is great if you have space limitations but still want a larger screen.
- Cons: TV is not 120Hz, but in my opinion 120Hz tends to make movies look unnatural. Menus look like they are from the CRT Era.
- Other Thoughts: Compared this t my father-in-Law's 46" Sony Bravia and found the picture to be very comparable. The Sony has fancy navigation menus, but for 1/3 the price, I can deal.

- Pros: Big bright screen, HDTV channels are great and paired with a 1080p upscaling DVD player I'm loving it.
