Welcome to Regza. The Regza 37CV510U is a step above regular HDTVs. The thin bezel and SoundStrip speakers minimize the physical size of the case, so all you see is picture -- and the picture is good. The combination of the DynaLight™ backlight control and PixelPure 4G 14-Bit video processor delivers 4096 levels of gradation and deep blacks.

The Cinespeed panel has an ultra fast response time and wide viewing angles so that everyone in the room can clearly see the stutter free images. When you switch into gaming mode, the path from the console to the screen is minimized for high speed game play. Of course this means you can't blame getting fragged on your TV anymore.

Input labeling lets you keep track of the inputs by device. With 3 HDMI and 2 ColorStream HD component inputs it gets important. When you add a D-Sub, an S-Video and 2 A/V it gets critical. Now there's no more confusion, just label the input with the device.

  • newegg HDTV Ready The widescreen Toshiba Regza 37CV510U fully supports up to HDTV 720p (1280x720, progressive) for a truly high-definition experience.
  • newegg PixelPure 4G 14-bit Internal Digital Video Processing PixelPure 4G is an advanced digital video processing system that produces 4,096 levels of gradation for a smooth, natural-looking picture without image banding. With PixelPure 4G, the Toshiba Regza 37CV510U delivers incredibly deep, vibrant, sharp, clean and natural images beyond your imagination.
  • newegg DynaLight Dynamic Back-light Control Toshiba's DynaLight Dynamic Back-Light Control utilizes advanced image processing to monitor the brightness level of each video frame and adjusts the backlight intensity accordingly for seamless transitions and increased detail and depth.
  • newegg HDMI Input The Toshiba Regza 37CV510U features three HDMI inputs to receive high-definition digital video and audio through a single, convenient cable connection. HDMI's appeal has made it the choice interface for a broad selection of HD-capable video devices and gaming consoles.
  • newegg SoundStrip Technology The Toshiba Regza 37CV510U features an ultra-slim speaker system that utilizes SoundStrip Speaker technology to enhance dynamic range for a true home theatre experience.
  • newegg Built-in ATSC Tuner Armed with a built-in ATSC tuner, the Toshiba Regza 37CV510U displays digital over-the-air programming without additional digital set-top equipment.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!!!!

Pros: The price is outstanding. The picture is beautiful and the sound is amazing! I had expect to need to buy a soundbar or surround sound from reading general reviews about LCD tv's but this one doens't need it. I LOVE this tv.

Cons: The remote is too big and the functions not intuative. Also I would have perferrred a matte black instead of a polished piano black. Other than that NO COMPLAINTS. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!!!

Other Thoughts: Toshiba work on better menu's and a smaller remote.

5 out of 5 eggsVERY nice HDTV - don't be a 1080p snob...

Pros: Vibrant color, decent black levels, TACK sharp VGA input, excellent at displaying SD content, really nice "Stretch" modes that steal a bit off the top and bottom of the screen to reduce distortion (unnoticeable unless watching something with a "crawl" like a sports broadcast), no noticeable motion artifacts, attractive thin glossy bezel, unbelievably light weight, good (not great) number of inputs, and Input Labeling rocks. Also, it remembers widescreen/full/native/1:1 pic size selections between video inputs (so one input can be in "stretch" mode - perfect for a Nintendo Wii - while another (HTPC) can be in "1:1 pixel mapping" mode, etc)

Cons: Needed tweaking out of the box; at first, Satellite over S-video looked really bad, but a few menu settings later it looked pretty good (bear in mind this set was replacing an old CRT based SDTV, so standard def was never going to approach what it looked like on the old set). Viewing angles weren't great, but again I was comparing to an old CRT TV, and sitting 45° to the screen there's no dropoff, just at extreme angles do you get washout. Bass is lacking in the speakers (they're relatively small); you'll want an external 2.1 rig - doesn't detract from watching though. And I can't get rid of a tiny bit of "pillarboxing" when hooking my HTPC up to it via VGA - for some reason, 1360x768 model doesn't fill up the screen and looks bad, like it's a non-native resolution. Oddly, running at 1280x768 looks great (albeit with the pillarboxing).

Other Thoughts: Got this on sale at the 'egg for close to 4 benjamins shipped and I consider it a steal. Was a little antsy about getting "last year's" name brand 720p set" instead of "this year's box store brand 1080p set", but after getting it and seeing it I have NO regrets. Was also a bit concerned about motion artifacts at 60Hz vs the new 120Hz sets, but after a few hours of beating on it with high-motion stuff, I'm perfectly satisfied. Tons of menu options and tweakable settings, and I keep discovering new "ergonomic" stuff (such as the way you can left/right arrow between the past 3 video inputs you've used instead of having to bring up the menu and select an input there) built into it. And again, this sucker is LIGHT - the old 31" SDTV it replaced weighed over 60 lbs; this thing I was able to schlep up the stairs in its box by myself with no awkwardness, and I think 1/3rd of the weight was the BOX it was in...that may be a downside; I'll have to make sure it can't tip over...

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional

Pros: Great picture, the colors blew me away for the price. HDMI'd it to my blu-ray and colors literally hit you like a truck! Aspect ratio is perfect for HD. Menu is easy to understand and Sports Mode is the only way to go. Love the amount of inputs for a single unit, dual HDMI is nice for PS3 + Blu-Ray

Cons: Speakers could be a little more as far as quality goes, a nice surround sound system does the trick.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has the best price on this unit that I've seen. Loving the fact that I got the the day after I ordered it! Go Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: Great color depth and contrast. The speakers are very small yet they deliver good sound across all ranges. 3 HDMI inputs is very nice.

Cons: Not a problem with the tv but with QA. I don't know if it was Toshiba's fault or newegg's but the one I got was missing the remote and a bunch of the mounting equipment to attach the base to the tv.Toshiba was very helpful and mailed all the stuff out to me so there was no problem.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend it.

4 out of 5 eggsNice TV

Pros: Great picture. Going from a 29" inch CRT to this was a HUGE step up. Digital Tuning is a huge plus, as I get very basic cable. Oh, and Newegg is awesome.

Cons: Sound isn't great. Remote is sub-par. Menus are not intuitive for me.

Pros: -Reasonable price when paired with free shipping
-Good viewing angle

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: This TV is worth every bit of the money and some. I love it so much I just ordered another one for my kid room. I shopped around and compared prices and nothing can beat this. I adjusted the coloring to my taste and I am very satisfied. I have been buying from newegg for over 20 years and its been great dealing with newegg.
