Terrific!
- Pros: Phenomenal Tv! Looks awesome with HD cable, and Blu Ray movies. Great price for value. No ghosting, no artifacts, no problems.
- Cons: Not really a con, but the tv takes a couple secs to turn on 3-7 or so.
- Other Thoughts: Best picture you'll ever get.
2nd Toshiba
- Pros: I like the the quality and function offer for the price I got it for. I got it for $300 (Price here $1099.00) less somewhere else. Very surprising for Newegg. 4 HDMI, Verizon TV Remote easily detects TV. The 120Hz refresh rate for this price is great.
- Cons: My last 32" Toshiba has been moved to the bedroom. It has a built-in Ethernet connection and DVD player. I miss with this one. Auto detects the video signal and changes the screen size every time you change the channel even if you set the screen size to what you want.
- Other Thoughts: Having my last Toshiba work so well for me help to believe this one will also. That is helpful and valuable when paying this kind of money for a TV. I thing the value is there.
Still a Toshiba fan
- Pros: Toshiba has always been one of the most reliable brands out there and I urge you not to get upset when you read the bad reviews. When all works well most consumers wont bother writing a review. The issues with broken units more than likely is a result of dropping the TV or just mishandling it. Pic quality is unrivaled, not even for the price but beats out most TVs that are much more expensive. 4 HDMI inputs is a must and Tosh nailed it.
- Cons: Some of the functions that you get are useless, if you can drop down a model and not lose pic quality do it. An example is the feature that brightens the TV when the room gets brighter doesn't make a difference at all.
- Other Thoughts: I get a new TV about every two years for another room and this is the best yet. All of my TVs are Toshiba and each time for about the same price as two years ago I get a better picture and a larger size for the same price.

Introduction
Toshiba packs in the largest screen into the smallest space with its Regza 42XV540U 42" LCD HDTV. With less than an inch of its slim, black bezel extending beyond the screen edges, all you see is the 1920 x 1080 pixel 1080p resolution screen – in the space used for a smaller display.
The Cinespeed panel uses Toshiba's 10-bit technology for 64X more colors than conventional 8-bit panels and PixelPure 4G 14-bit digital video processing. You get smoother color transitions, subtle shading and smoother video. Toshiba's ClearFrame Anti-Blur technology prevents motion blur with a 120Hz refresh rate. DynaLight dynamic backlighting adjusts the light level for each scene to generate improved contrast and black level.
Its tuner receives analog and digital HD over-the-air signals without external components. It displays unscrambled cable channels via its QAM, and SoundStrip speakers provide stereo surround sound. The 42XV540U uses advanced technology to eliminate latency and expand color space. It can be the hub of your home entertainment system with 4 CE-Link capable HDMI ports to let you control CE-Link equipped components with just the TV remote. Additional inputs include a pair of ColorStream HD component and Composite video inputs and single S-Video and PC input ports. Analog and Dolby Digital Optical outputs let you send surround sound out to your system.
