4 out of 5 eggsAwesome T.V.

Pros: Excellent T.V.! I was upgrading from a 20 in. tube so a big improvement for me! After playing around with the picture settings I got it to look how I wanted! I play a lot on the xbox 360 so I hooked it up to it with my HD cable and turned the settings to 720p and wow how crisp! The tuner is also great! The remote is a lot better than what ive seen with other LCD's. Great t.v., great buy!

Cons: A little fuzzy when watching t.v., but I know that is just because of the coax and it being through the cable.

Other Thoughts: Excellent buy!

4 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: Good Connectivity and sound for this size TV. Picture quality is good but not great. Works well as a computer monitor.

Cons: The viewing angles are limited with vertical being poorer than horizontal. This might be why the viewing angle specifications are not listed.

Other Thoughts: Purchased Open Box from Newegg for a great price. The TV had never been out of the box and I am very pleased with this purchase.

2 out of 5 eggsNot very happy with this TV

Pros: Looks good, menu interface is easy to use, good sound but a little problem with it.

Cons: I put this tv in my room in front of my bed, my tv stand is a little higher than my bed and a few days ago I noticed that the screen looks just fine if you watch it being higher than the tv, if you are on the same height or lower than the tv it looks very dark and the darks issue shows a lot more so I had to find a higher spot for the tv so the screen wont look dark. Another CON it is that it randomly makes a weird sound, like the speakers malfunctioning, it's like a boom! yup like that! and then I read the user's manual and it says it's totally normal to hear that sound, I couldnt believe it, and last, I'm using a hd box from my cable operator, and I'm using it with the hdmi cable and the quality of the picture I have it's not the best, I can still see those horrible little squares on the picture on channels they say they're on hd, I know this is not a 1080p tv but I think I shouldnt have that problem with 720p so those are the reasons I'm not happy with this tv.

Other Thoughts: I was trying to get another brand but it was always sold out everytime I tried to get it so I had to get this one.

4 out of 5 eggsToshiba 26" LCD..

Pros: fairly good pix.. it is off a direct tv satellite line.. audio is great.. pix is a bit under exposed.. dark.. and not as sharp as i thought it would be.. but it is off a long co axial line.. so that might be part of it.. not bad.. a tad expensive for quality at $440...

Cons: see above.

Other Thoughts: a bit over priced for what i got.. audio is great... pix quality is not as good as i thought it would be.

4 out of 5 eggsFairly Awesome

Pros: It's got enough ports to hold all my gaming systems, and my computer input too. The sound is nice, and the picture quality is everything I was promised. It was worth the money.

Cons: Cables are a little bit hard to reach.
Also, it crashed once. I mean crashed - I was playing little big planet on my ps3 when all of a sudden the picture froze. I thought it was the ps3, so I hit pause, tried to move around, that kind of thing. Then the screen went all fuzzy and then blank. I nearly cried, I thought it was broken. But no, a simple powercycling was all it (the tv) needed. It hasn't happened again.

Other Thoughts: It's strangely light. I'm afraid it'll fall over in an earthquake.

4 out of 5 eggsBEST 26-inch TV you can buy

Pros: Great tuner. Large and stable base pedestal.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Arriving very speedy and right to my door in excellent condition, a perfect TV! I now have two of these in my home, and both have been working flawlessly for several months. The tuner circuitry in this Toshiba is absolutely the best I've ever used. Even when signal strength fluctuates due to surrounding obstructions and interferences, the tuner has an uncanny ability to fine-tune the station and then lock the reception on the signal. Both the video and audio performance of this unit are superb, the onscreen navigation is well-designed and easy to operate, and the flexibility for different input configurations is excellent. I'm especially thankful for the broad-width pedestal base, which provides a VERY stable placement. The Toshiba pedestal for this TV is far superior to many others I've seen which tend to be small and therefore could allow those other TVs to tip.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid but not without quirks

Pros: Was a good combination of price/size/quality. 26" TVs are not very common in the 400~ dollar range. Nice selection of inputs, very accessible and in-depth menus, good controller. I also find the TV naturally upscales pictures quite effectively. In fact, almost too well. Quite satisfied me, though I was upgrading from an old CRT TV, so I was far easier to please. The built-in tuner works very well. Speakers aren't bad and the picture shines with bright, vivid sources, though muted and darker pictures are a different story. My PS3 is no longer wasted on an SD TV.

Cons: Have to admit, it was not easy adjusting to the difference in black levels going from even an old CRT to this LCD. While the dynamic contrast setting works fairly well, quick transitions between light and dark scenes definitely experience a lag in adjustment that's noticeable. Speakers aren't bad, but you're better off purchasing your own with a sub preferably. Seems to me that this TV does far worse with older signals and inputs than did my old CRT. But worst of all, several times this TV has frozen on me. Picture would be distorted by a wide swath of pixels turning green or some other basic color. Audio cuts off and no functional OSD. Power controls still work, and a simple power down and up restores full functionality. Has only happened a few times, but enough that I'll be contacting Toshiba support.

Other Thoughts: Speaking of inputs and signals, shortly after purchasing this TV, I tested it out with a number of DVDs. I found that on a title like Katsuhiro Otomo's Steamboy--a film with a very reserved and often earthy color palette--the weaknesses of LCD really come out. Subtle browns and blacks looked muddy, reddish, and generally awful. However, upon purchasing a more modern DVD player outputting through HDMI instead of component, the finer color distinctions were finally satisfactory. You must really ensure your video sources are top notch. Blu-ray looks fantastic, though I've compared a couple of my BD titles to their DVD counterparts and found that a solid HDMI-capable DVD player produces a largely identical picture, depending on the quality of the DVD transfer. Nevertheless, I'm still quite satisfied with my purchase.
