1 out of 5 eggsDied after 3 years.

Pros: Nice TV, while it lasted.

Cons: Black screen of death. No picture. A TV this expensive should last longer than 3 years.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat TV!

Pros: Picture looks great in 1080i (HD Cable). Sound is good but not as good as our Toshiba 32" CRT (less room I suppose).

Cons: Setup can take awhile with all of the settings. Settings sometimes revert back to original settings/change/etc. Still haven't found a way to show ALL DVDs in Full (16:9) instead of Natural (4:3). Not enough non-HDMI inputs for me (ran out of composite inputs).

Other Thoughts: Was a steal at $799 with free shipping!

4 out of 5 eggsNice TV for the price

Pros: I got this TV on sale from NewEgg. If you can get it less than $800 do it. The picture is pretty good.

Cons: The super resolution technology is not good. You will not notice much of a difference, but the tv is still a good set.

Other Thoughts: I did not buy a top of the line tv. You can get better picture quality, but it was not worth the extra $600 to me.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome TV

Pros: Great Picture. Lots of inputs. I researched a lot before I purchased this tv. One article compared the best LCD TV's for under $1000 at the time, and this was their pick. Movies, Gaming, HD Cable, all look great on this tv.

Cons: Speakers are ok, but with a surround sound system that anyone should get if buying a tv this size, they become irrelevant.

Other Thoughts: Awesome TV, great price on newegg.

3 out of 5 eggsLoved it but ....

Pros: Loved this TV! Perfect size for my home. Stylish, easy to operate. Menu was easy to navigate. Easy set-up and access to plugins. Good picture quality and higher-than-normal sound quality. Sturdy stand.

Cons: Reaction to channel chages a bit slow but I can live with that. Hated the sticker placed on front of the TV. I don't advertise for anyone for free! Did not try to remove for fear of marring the TV case. TV went down within 43 days of purchase.

Other Thoughts: There was no warranty repair service within 50 miles of my area. Toshiba said they could not find anyone locally to cover the warranty work. Toshiba Customer Service tried to resolve the issue. Theyy offered to replace with a refurbished model or a smaller 40 inch model which was not agreeable to me. Had they offered a larger model I would have taken their offer. They then offered refund but this will not be done for at least 30-45 days of receipt of the TV. I am still waiting for a refund and will try to update this rating after the time period ends.

5 out of 5 eggsSo proud....

Pros: SRT! not sure if most sets have this technology but it makes it easy on the eyes when watching SD broadcasting. It does an amazing job with regular dvds, it practically upconverts it for you. I was beating myself up about not getting a plasma but after a few days I realized that it wasn't necessary. The color and black levels are impressive. Want a Bravia but can't afford it? get this one!

Cons: Not worth mentioning!

Other Thoughts: I actually found this same tv 10 dollars cheaper at a mom and pop store. 10 dollars doesn't go along way when it comes to my favorite online retailer. But I was more than happy with the fact that I didn't have to pay for shipping. Best thing was that I was able to pick up my tv at the local office of the carrier. They were friendly and made it very easy for me to pick it up. So I got my TV in one business day! On pres' day! The process is a dream for my first HDTV purchase. If only my comcast was any where near as good. they're horrible!

4 out of 5 eggsFirst LCD

Pros: price, quality, ship time

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: This was my first HD TV and I could not be happier. Although, I did research for about three weeks prior to purchase, price was always my baseline. I read the reviews and figured that this was the best TV for my dollar. I paid $750 out the door and I then I opted for the two year warranty for another $75 or so. I ordered on Tuesday before Super Bowl and was watching it on Friday night. Needless to say, I am very pleased. Great picture and easy set up.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect TV for me

Pros: Out-of-the-box colors are pretty good. Obviously it's good to calibrate any HDTV that you get, but for those that aren't high-tech, you'd be plenty satisfied without making any adjustments to your color settings. The SRT technology makes standard TV look great, so don't worry if you currently have no HD content. I have my computer, Blu-ray, Xbox, PS, and external speakers hooked up and there's still plenty of inputs for future additions (which I will be getting with my tax returns). Matte finish (personal opinion, but I don't like all of the glare that comes with shiny finished screens, and the colors are bright, so I didn't see any reason to get a shiny finished TV). Plays 1080p just fine. I did a lot of research before buying a HDTV, and in the end, I found that this TV had more to offer, and looked better than a lot of the Sony's I've seen.

Cons: It's not 62 inches. It's not 120Hz (almost all TV's under 50 inches you're not going to notice a difference between 120Hz and 60Hz, so don't worry about that unless you're looking for a 50+ inch TV). The remote acts a little sluggish at times, but I don't always notice it, and no one else that uses the TV has mentioned it, so maybe it's just me.

Other Thoughts: HDTV's aren't new anymore, so a lot of brands that may have not been top contenders in the HDTV market are now fully caught up and are more than worth a look. I have never though much of Toshiba in the HDTV market, but just in the last year they have put out some incredible products, and I've actually found myself favoring them over most other brands at this point, weird, right?

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Video: The Picture is amazing on both HD and SD channels, a lot of the SD channels look better on this TV than some of the Sonys I've looked at. Has some nice features like SRT, which is what makes the standard definition video look better.

Audio: Sound is good for me and my family, but if you're used to surround sound then it might be a problem for you (what can you expect though).

Quality: TV has a nice feel and look to it, down to the Toshiba trademark lighting up in the front. It has plenty of inputs; 4 HDMI, 2 Component, 2 of your regular yellow, red, white, S-video, a VGA input with a sound input, and your optical out. (theres also coaxial)

Cons: none, everything is as expected

Other Thoughts: Shipping was fast for it being free, I wouldnt waste money on the white glove delivery, as 200 bucks is a little pricey for just bringing in the TV and setting it up. One last thing..go Newegg!
