5 out of 5 eggsspeakers aren't that bad

Pros: got this at half the retail price, LED 720p tv that only weighs 15 pounds (18 with base) and is super thin!

once you get the picture settings dialed in for the viewing environment you'll be in, it's crystal clear with my PS3 and high def cable box with HDMI.

I own a 50" panasonic viera plasma and also a 32inch samsung LED lcd and the picture quality on this is just as amazing as those. Perhaps this tv is even brighter than those too.

Cons: Speakers *could* be a little better, as everyone said in other reviews... HOWEVER, in no way at all is it a deal breaker or takes away from the viewing experience. I just turned the bass setting up all the way to 20 out of 20, and left treble at normal 10 out of 20, and it's good enough for me. I'm a professional audio engineer and based on other reviews of this tv having bad sound i was prepared for the worst, and had other speakers on hand to hook up to it, but so far, i haven't felt the need to hook them up.

Other Thoughts: If this tv is going to be used in a bedroom or small room for a secondary television, then don't worry about the speakers. If it's going to be the main tv for your entertainment center, perhaps consider getting an entertainment system for better sound, but it's not a total requirement in my opinion. Maybe my set has a good pair of speakers on it and other sets didn't have good speakers, but... it's really not that bad

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased!

Pros: I got this thing for an outstanding price on Newegg. I can't believe how quickly the price is dropping on these things.

The quality to price ratio on this thing is very good. Solid picture quality (good black levels), stylish look, VERY light (only 7 lbs without the stand), and very thin. Only 3/4 of an inch thick I believe. I currently have this in my bedroom and it's exactly what I need it to be. Perfect for watching TV in bed and the occasional movie.

It also has some cool features for the price point. Lots of options to tweak the video like Backlight, DynaLight, Dynamic Contrast, Static Gamma, Color Temperature, and a number of noise reduction modes.

Also, lots of parental features (if you have kids, I don't). This thing has the V-Chip, Channel Block, Input Block, and Control Panel Lock which prevents the kids from screwing with the video settings. It even has a password protected GameTimer which locks out the game console's input after a certain amount of time.

Cons: The audio on this TV is the biggest drawback. The speakers built into the TV sound very empty with almost no mid - low range at all. Very "tinny" sound. Note that there is an optical out on the TV so you have the option to plug in some decent speakers (which I ended up doing). If you had planned on hooking up your own sound system to this TV anyway, this becomes a non-issue.

Also, the included remote is pretty generic and kind of cheap. However, most people are using a universal remote or their cable / satellite provider's remote anyway so this again becomes a non-issue.

Other Thoughts: If I was still in college, this thing would have been awesome in my dorm room.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This was a great purchase. Everything about this TV is great! Price point was great. I got this TV on sale and what a great deal it was. The television came very quickly. The picture quality is quite vibrant. The HD Channels are sharp. The TV is very light weight and sleek. And the sound quality is great. I cannot say enough about how satisfied I am with this television.

Cons: I have no complaints about this television.

5 out of 5 eggsToshiba 32" LED-LCD 32SL400U

Pros: The TV is killer and the price was even better (free shipping and no taxes too). It looks nice and clear while using my PS3 (connected thru an HDMI cable to this TV). Playing online I think I have the advantage now. Tracking the shipment was pretty cool too.

Cons: It was hard waiting for the few days it took to ship but quick shipping.

5 out of 5 eggs32SL400U, Amazing! Winning!

Pros: ¤ Very Vibrant Colors
¤ Very Easy to Use
¤ Slick, Sleek, & Slender! ;)
¤ Light weight
¤ HD Channels look fantastic.
¤ LED Backlight
¤ Got it on Sale! :)

¤ Side Note: A major pro for me here is that Toshiba doesn't list improper specs or try to WOW you with big numbers. They give you exactly what the TV has and doesn't beat around the bush. You see other TV manufacturers list crazy contrast ratios that don't exist, list 120hz when really it's interpolated 60hz and so on. Toshiba, Hats off to you!

Cons: ¤ Very few options in the menu, for the price, it was expected.
¤ Remote is a little generic and I expected something a little better.
¤ The speakers are pretty bad, but since it's in my bedroom, it's really not that bad. I was already expecting this. They do get very loud though, the quality on the other hand, is a different story.

Other Thoughts: I bought this through Newegg as an Open Box Item. For the price, it was an IMMEDIATE buy for me. I've been looking for a cheaper 32" and haven't found one in the price range it was listed. The packaging was actually, better than expected for already being ripped open. Whoever shipped it back to Newegg, I applaud you.

The picture looks amazing when watching HD channels, gaming, and for Blu-Ray movies. I would not let the fact that the speakers do in fact suck get in the way of purchasing this TV.

There were literally no other reviews on this TV, besides the one here, so I took a very large chance on this TV. I am very happy with my purchase.

The other LCD TV prior to purchasing this one, the colors were washed, very crazy back light bleeding and so on. This is a major upgrade and fits perfectly on my little stand in my bedroom. Definitely what I was looking for.

If you can find this TV on sale again, I would definitely pick it up!

5 out of 5 eggsNice when priced accordingly

Pros: LIGHTWEIGHT
Great picture
Gaming mode
Good side angle performance

Cons: More expensive than others in its category

Other Thoughts: Looked at other "light" 32" LED's and had great luck with the 55" model so I chose this over the vizio because of the substandard sound on the vizio. Watched it hooked up to my dish and it looks GREAT. Sound was certainly passable. I wanted it for my RV and it is only 15lbs without the stand almost 7 lbs lighter than the 1080P model and I am picky...the screen looked great!
