4 out of 5 eggsAWESOME PICTURE...sound not so much

Pros: Picture is amazing

Cons: Sound is pretty Tinny - kind of like a cross between a dirty needle on a 78 (for those of you who know what a 78 is... lol) and a phone line.

Other Thoughts: I usually wait a few weeks before a review, but this one, the picture is that good. I'd already been aware of sound, but didn't realize how awful it was. I do have a set of speakers I am hoping will help but sheesh!!

5 out of 5 eggsMy First LED

Pros: This was my first LED tv and I have to say that I am very happy with it. It has a great slim factor that I love! Compared to my other LCD I have in the house, its like night and day comparing the two. Good stuff!

Cons: LED tvs have been known to have ghosting problems with heavy movement pictures, such as football and other sports. I do notice ghosting in the football when it's being thrown by a player, but I knew that was coming with going to an LED. Didn't take an egg off because the picture is still awesome!

4 out of 5 eggsWonderful TV

Pros: 1080p
46" inch
LED back lighting
120 Hz refresh rate
good price for what you get
looks great with the xbox 360
great viewing angle

Cons: It's an LCD and not plasma not really a con though (using it for gaming)

8ms response time

backlight shows through in corners

it won't make me coffee or breakfast

Other Thoughts: Overall very happy with this purchase. It is hard for me to give it 5 eggs though. I would give it 4.9995 eggs. I need to take a bit off for the back lighting showing through. I bought this to replace a 5 year old 32" 720p tv. The change is quite dramatic, at the price I got it ($250 off) I couldn't turn it down most 42" TV's were going for about the same price.

It will take some tweaking on the settings though, i found that i got a clearer picture when i turned the contrast down to about 60 and the backlighting to about 70 (not sure why they were so high to begin with)

I would recommend this TV for anyone looking for a tv without apps and is planing on using a surround sound system or sound bar (who buys a tv for the speakers anyway?) You need to understand that it is still a LCD screen and motion blur will still occur even with the 120 Hz refresh rate. All in all a beautiful TV!

1 out of 5 eggsRegret

Pros: When working, its awesome picture. However, less than two weeks old and it is hosed up.

Cons: standalone sound is not good, nor not recomended.

BIG PROBLEM: TV came shipped with bad remote control, called Toshiba support, they replaced it within 5 days.

BIGGER PROBLEM: The TV is totally hosed, it has triple ghost image and horizontal lines. Had to call Toshiba again. They verified its a bad TV. I have to wait for the subcontracted tech to call me (they still haven't), then I was advised it may take up to a month for repair, assuming it is repairable. I am livid with this purchase and Toshiba.

Other Thoughts: This is my first Toshiba product, and it will be my last.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome picture, rich color, very lightweight easy to navigate menu, nice basic remote with big numbers plenty of inputs( for the average guy) very energy efficient, deep blacks, almost so dark i have to brighten the screen, and the anti-blur technology can be turned off, when watching normal TV

Cons: bad sound quality, after reading other reviews, i purchased a vizio sound bar with the tv, which is excellent quality, it doesnt seem to save settings when you switch between inputs, (i Have to switch game mode on when i play games minor detail)

Other Thoughts: I have other toshiba products which influenced my purchase of this tv

4 out of 5 eggsIncredible picture at LCD price

Pros: Great picture, almost 3D-like in its clarity. Thin form, plenty of HDMI hookups. LED at LCD price. Great experience with the shipping company as well!

Cons: Sound is tinny and weak---likely from the thin speakers. Will add a sound bar and all should be perfect!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Deal!!!

Pros: Excellent picture with enough adjustable settings to make this customer very happy! Actually, I set it to "Sports" and adjusted the "temperature" for my personal taste and could not ask for more!

Also, the shipping was great. The shipping company ("AIT") gave us a 6 hour window, then contacted my wife later for a more accurate time. Just what I would expect from a shipping company that is associated with Newegg!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: The audio is inferior, as are many TV's in this price range. But I have a nice external sound system (which I highly recommend). So, I am a very happy customer!

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Great Price point for 120 Hz LED; Plethora of connectivity options (3HDMI, Optical audio, etc). Nice amount of picture settings options including pretty solid presets (movie, game, PC, etc)

Cons: Remote is a little flimsy; sound not the best (expected w/ a TV this slim).

Other Thoughts: Get this TV, get internet connectivity from somewhere else (PS3/Xbox), and you'll save big $! Big screen, vivid colors

4 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: - Great Picture
- Great Color
- Great Viewing Angle
- Price

Cons: - No WiFi/Apps (Not a big deal to me)
- The sound is not great (I have a system, so again doesn't affect me)

Other Thoughts: For the price that this TV was on sale for last week, it was hard to pass up. I replaced a $4000 LG Plasma from about 5 years ago and the difference is incredible. Obviously with the LED-LCD, everything is extremely bright, but this TV holds onto the contrast and colors well, along with some excellent blacks.

I took an Egg off because I didn't want to mislead people thinking this is the best TV around. It's a great bang for the buck, but it is not the best LED-LCD out. Don't hesitate to buy it though if you want a great picture for a good price, and don't care if it's slightly worse than TVs double the price.
