1 out of 5 eggsBroken after 7 months!

Pros: Glad I bought the extended warranty!

Cons: Cannot watch over-the-air broadcasts on non-HD channels while PC is connected to VGA port.
TV has a black line running from top to bottom about 10 inches from the right side of the tv. Black line arrived 8-5-13 - tv was purchased in end of December 2012 - only 7 months of use!

Other Thoughts: I have had several problems with this tv since I purchased it December 27. 2012. The "favorites" choices change by adding back a channel I have deleted - without any warning. I re-delete the channel and it reappears shortly thereafter.

Also, it is very frustrating that I cannot watch any low-definition over-the-air channels while my laptop is connected to the television's VGA port. I repeatedly have to unplug the cord in order to watch the low-def channels. Very frustrating.

5 out of 5 eggsgood price/performance value

Pros: Toshiba 32C120U LCD great picture vibrant color, good black level, contrast, one of the best 32"sets I found after comparing /viewing quite a few sets ,some costing quite a bit more. Now $229.95 on line or at Best Buy it is a 2012 model so it's selling at good price

Cons: no headphone jack

Other Thoughts: I bought this 720p Toshiba 32C120U for a second set very good picture for $219.00 at Best Buy (For many it is good enough as a first set.) On line it at this price also . For many it is is good enough as a first set .I was looking for a 32" figuring about $300+ I would recommend this to a friend ! Other thing is Toshiba is first tier brand not some unknown , clone brand or discount store brand.

IMO excellent performance to price value I can tell you when you take it out of store mode (torch mode ) when you first get it adjust it decently or /calibrate it and set the back light it has a very good picture on Dish HD via HDMI and DVD's ,standard def signal does not begin to show it's capabilities .

2 out of 5 eggsScreen Goes Blank

Pros: When it works, the picture is great, and the sound is fine. There are some options for adjusting the color preferences. It's a pretty basic TV, so it does exactly what I expected it to...when it works.

Cons: After a few days we noticed the screen would dim for a second or two, almost like when you'd turn off an old CRT TV. Then, it started going off completely. Sometimes you could still hear sound, and sometimes the sound would cut out, too. The only solution was to turn the TV off and back on. This got progressively worse to where it does it every few minutes, making viewing pretty much impossible.

Also, the "Recall" button on the remote doesn't seem to go back to the previously viewed channel. It just pulls up the current channel information, just like the "Info" button does. Maybe this is because I am viewing digital OTA channels and it can't handle that. But it seems like it should be able to.

Other Thoughts: It's my fault for not knowing, but I didn't realize that I only had 30 days to return this to Newegg. I was lazy and let 30 days pass, and now I have to deal with Toshiba directly. I bought this TV because it mostly got good reviews, but I will not buy another Toshiba. And I probably won't buy a TV from Newegg as 30 days is their standard policy and they have a re-stocking fee.

3 out of 5 eggsNice picture but so so sound

Pros: For the price you really can't complain. The picture over all is nice and the TV seems to be solid.

Cons: The sound gets pretty tinny when you bring the volume up past a certain level. The sound seems to be alright through the HDMI connection when you are playing blu-ray but playing netflix or hulu the sounds gets worse.

Other Thoughts: I would probably only recommend this as a bedroom TV.

1 out of 5 eggssencond RMA

Pros: None if it won't work

Cons: First one ordered had very low signal reported when connected to cable. I extensively verified that I had a good cable signal and that it worked well on other TVs and DTVs.
Second one ordered worked ok on analog channels but did not receive any digital channels.

Other Thoughts: There must be a manufacturing many others had the same problem?

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for my bedroom

Pros: Picture is great on HD channels; sound is great mostly; size is perfect for bedroom; love all the ports on back;

Cons: Audio crackles on channels with poor reception (antennae), cannot connect wirelessly.

Other Thoughts: Ok, I got this on an awesome sale ($200, free shipping, and only $20 for extra year of warranty), so I shouldn't say anything bad, but: audio cracks on some channels.

I found an audio firmware update on for this specific model, along with decent instructions on how to freshly format a usb flash drive (fat - not ntsc!), and copy the firmware files to that drive, turn on the tv, and then plug in the usb drive. The firmware was almost automatic - just had to select yes using the left/right arrows, and press the usual button for enter. Then had to unplug tv briefly once it was done, and replug it in, and the tv restarted with the firmware properly installed! Went pretty smooth. Hopefully there will be less cracking of the sound on the weaker channels.

Also, another commenter said the USB port would allow you to connect wirelessly - sorry but I don't think this is correct. The usb port functions to load firmware updates, and to play JPG pics and MP3 audio files through the tv. Once again, the usb drive has to be formatted using Fat (fat32 is ok), and it cannot have additional folders created on it!

I have been playing around with connecting my laptop, and found that I needed a 15-pin male to male VGA cord which is not the usual for a computer setup. Usually it is male to female. I got an adapter on Amazing dot com for pretty cheap! Then when I hooked it all up, I had no sound at all! Turns out you have to also connect a basic 3.5mm audio cord to the headset out jack on the laptop, and then find the tiny little 3.5mm jack on the back of the tv for PC/HDMI1 audio in. It is there if you look hard! Haven't tried it, but I got the info from the site so I expect it will work fine now! Now all I need is a wireless keyboard and mouse for my laptop and I won't have to get up and down anymore!

I love the favorites feature of the remote, and also the channel selection using the right or left directional arrow. This way you can skip right over channels you don't want and get right to the one you do want! I really don't like the multi-level mute. It goes to half volume the first time you press it, and then to full mute the second time. I guess some would like that feature.

The closed captioning is a bit weird! I turn it on, and it shows on some channels but not on others that I know have CC programming! I love that you can customize the font, font color and size of the CC display - and the background color too, but it doesn't show up on any channels except the HD ones - possibly since I get my signal from an antennae!

When you scroll through the channels, there seems to be a bit of a delay when the screen is black before the new channel loads, but you get used to this. Might be an LCD thing - not sure - my first one!

Mostly, I am enjoying this new tv very much! Thanks Newegg for the super quick delivery! I love the OnTrac driver. He knows exactly how to deliver to my home from ot

5 out of 5 eggsNice Cheap TV

Pros: No complaints on this TV. It was inexpensive, easy to set up and has a nice picture.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 for the kids’ bedrooms and both arrived fast and in perfect condition. Newegg is about the fastest shipping of all the online retailers.

4 out of 5 eggsMakes A Great Monitor For PC and You Have TV To Boot

Pros: The picture is great and you can hook any of the latest and greatest toys up to it even older ones with an adapter which takes your device and returns the output to USB or HDMI. I connected my computer which supports HDMI straight to it and I hooked it up to my Bose sound system no problem and the TV will support most surround sound systems via the HDMI ports or USB port. HDMI is the best digital audio and video combination in my opinion LOVE the TV! A+ so for....I purchased two really to use as my PC monitors but I also have one of the units hooked up to my satellite so I can watch TV on one and do work or play on the other at the same time. You can also use a WIFI USB adapter to link your TV to your home WiFi network for streaming videos etc...too!

Cons: The only negative things I can think of is the refresh rate could be better, it could have a few more HDMI and USB ports but for the money you cannot complain really.

Other Thoughts: So everone knows just for information. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed digital audio/video data from a HDMI-compliant device ("the source") to a compatible digital audio device, computer monitor, video projector, and digital television.[1] A digital audio/video source for HDMI can include a HDMI-compliant set-top box, DVD player, HD DVD player, Blu-ray Disc player, AVCHD camcorder, personal computer (PCs), video game console (such as the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and the Ouya), AV receiver, tablet computer, and mobile phone.

4 out of 5 eggsnice bedroom tv

Pros: Got this at a BigBox retailer on a special sale last week. Replacing a 24" Viore in our bedroom. Excellent picture, good sound, decent number of inputs, perfect size for our bedroom, would also make a good tv for a small living room.

Cons: Not really for me but there is no 1/8" mini plug for audio out. There IS RCA plug analog out so you can use a RCA to 1/8" adapter cable to use external speakers if you need to. TV does have optical out.

Other Thoughts: This unit replaces the 32C110U in Toshiba's model line. One big complaint I read about the 32C110U is the sound quality. This 32C120U has great sound. 720p is fine for bedrooms.
