Toshiba 40" Class (39.69" Diag.) 1080p 120Hz LED HDTV 40L5200U

Pros: The price was cheap. Fast shipping. Sound isn't as bad as others make it out to be. This is a bedroom TV and doesn't need surround sound or deep bass.

Cons: The back lighting on this TV is horrible. I have visible halos in each quadrant of the TV that is bright enough to be seen through the picture. I turned it to a black screen in order to try to adjust the back lighting brightness, and it's no use. No matter what, those patches are just too bright.

Other Thoughts: I'm very disappointed in this TV. I had high expectations, since it's a Toshiba.

Pros: This TV was easy to setup and it has a beautiful picture. I have 3 other lcd or led tvs and this is by far the best. Picture is like looking out of the window. Crystal clear after a few adjustments. Very pleased with the tv.

Cons: None.

Pros: Good picture quality for the price range, plenty of inputs

Cons: No frills, somewhat plain looking, horrible sound (make sure you hook it up to a home theater set-up)

Other Thoughts: Mine has a dead pixel near the middle of the screen that definitely detracts from some of my enjoyment.

Pros: picture quality is great, price was fantastic, shipping and delivery on time.

Cons: have to go to toshiba web site and download owner's manaual,had to call toshiba to get it set up. Like other tv's this size sound does not match picture quality, and this set does not allow you to by pass internal speakers when trying external speekers, you have to keep hitting mute or turn to 0 volume.

Pros: Unpacked it, put it together, set it up, connected it, scanned for channels, and it worked. Major improvement over the gen 1 LCD it replaced. I haven't noticed and of the screen issues others have commented about.

Cons: Missing some legacy RCA type connectors that it would have been nice to have, but can'tr complain too much at thie price I got it for as most current generation LCDs have moved away from them anyway.

Other Thoughts: Read some reviews about picture issues, but at the Newegg price plus a code discount, I couldn't pass it up. Replaced a first gen 32" LG LCD that I paid 3x the price for.

Pros: Great picture, good looks, great price (courtesy of Newegg), good sound, automatic detection of HDMI signals.

Cons: no time display

Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with the purchase. The TV has a great picture, comparable to the Samsung 40" LED but better than LG 42". It looks great too with thin bezel and black piano finish. The sound is plenty good to me given tiny speakers. When factored in Newegg's price, $100 less than everywhere else, the Toshiba is incomparable.

Pros: Great tv. Just what I was looking for to replace my 30 inch back breaker in the bedroom.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Some of the styrofoam was loose in the packaging. They should use that higher grade foam that won't fall apart when ups throws it around.

Pros: Top notch LED-HDTV. 5-egg rating is for TV. Better picture than both the 2-yr old Led Toshiba's I also own.
No Internet connection. Knew that prior to purchase.
Shipping was fast, however the factory tv box had a large puncture on both sides of the box. We feared the tv was damaged upon opening. The tv screen had a small mark on it upon unpacking. However it did clean off @ left no indication of an impact. No marks on back. The only protection inside the box over the screen is a micro-thin foam envelope. NOT ENOUGH!
I will monitor closely its operation for any failures. I feel this box was handled roughly @ should have been packed inside a second box for protection.

Contrast ratio is amazing.

120hz refresh rate makes EVERYTHING look so fluid.

OSD is very intuitive and user-friendly.

Other Thoughts: By the time UPS had dropped the TV off the box had been opened, and chunks of Styrofoam had fallen out. Luckily the TV worked beautifully.

Pros: Price I paid 399.00 and couldn't find it any cheaper. 120hz sells this tv

Cons: Remote is cheap but doesn't matter.

Other Thoughts: Newegg 5 out of 5
