5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: Great picture, has lasted well so far, and way better sound than a lot of these newer "slim" TVs.

Cons: Bezel? Although I think it gives it a certain uniqueness.

Other Thoughts: I bought this back in 2009 and it's still going strong! It's lost it's duty as my main TV for my room and is now being used as a computer monitor. I don't think anyone will read this review but I felt like writing it.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful centerpiece for my entertainment system.

Pros: Great quality screen, decent contrast, and plenty of inputs. Built in speakers are decent but still not the same as having a full surround sound system. Still this set gets used for anything and everything and it works great with most everything I've thrown at it.

Cons: It's a tv. For that and videogame consoles it's great. However I also use this screen for computer gaming and I've had a few issues with full screen resolutions that are well within the capabilities of this set. Yet I still get the occasional 'No signal, shutting off' message. Though this could just be a driver issue with my video card or just the input method I'm using. I am using a nvidia GeForce GTX260 with dvi out -> dvi to vga converter -> vga input on the set.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great set. Whether you're looking for a decent priced HDTV or if you want a good everything monitor. I've seen a lot of vizio sets around and I can only assume that's because of their quality per price. I can see using this screen forever.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect quality.

Pros: Everything. I run my computer into it with a 768p resolution into it through RGB (for those who don't know, RGB runs 720p res) and i can get close to the screen and see that every single pixel is displaying exactly what its supposed to. If i have a black line on a white screen, one pixel is white and the pixel next to it is black, no blurring, no fading, just perfect crystal clear picture at desired resolution. I also run my PS3 at 1080p and it looks exactly how HD should. Blu-rays are perfect as are video games. I have owned 2 vizos now. this 37 and a 32. the 32 is only 720p and is now my monitor but when i used this one... it was great.

Cons: No AVI port...
not that i expect it to have one. but having to run AVI to HDMI conversion left me with no audio with my current set up. I wanted speakers so i ran it at 720p which I was ok with on compuer. (not with blu-ray movies)

Other Thoughts: other than that... i love this tv. its got my HD cable box and my PS3 hooked up to it and... Avatar on blu-ray is beautiful!

4 out of 5 eggsNice tv's for the price

Pros: Nice screen, good viewing angles, lots of options and connections happy to see newegg selling vizio and I hope to see more

Cons: vizio in general seem to have slight ghosting issues with there screens. Most people won't notice it and I never have while watching tv but when playing fast pace games like racing games you notice it now and again but I have seen far far worse

Other Thoughts: at the other guy who is complaining about vizio I happen to own a different 37" model and have no real complaints about it. If you look hard enough you can always find something wrong. I and most of my friends/family own vizios and have no real complaints. Sometimes you get a bad egg it happens but from my experience I will be buying/recommending in the future and I hope newegg will be selling more

1 out of 5 eggsHorrid

Pros: Cheap

Cons: This thing never displayed good picture compared to other sets.
Anyone who says otherwise is lying, working for Vizio, or not very tuned into what quality picture should look like.

This set lasted 5 months before the picture burned out.

They would not replace it even though it was within warranty because stupid me I misplaced a receipt for something I was assuming would have a life of at least a few years.

They tried to have me front the cost of repair which was more than I was willing to pay for a better TV.

The Customer service at Vizio is backwards and they are out to take your money and leave you high and dry if something goes wrong.

The parts in this are cheap, the quality is poor.

Other Thoughts: From reading on the internet, its easy to see the numerous complaints about not only the customer service but the horrible quality of these machines.
In some cases they are apparently even fire hazards they break so bad.

I would never buy a vizio TV again.
They stole their way to Number 1 by undercutting the competition with an inferior product, and endangering their customers.

Unbelievably shady.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: -1080p
-Excellent connectivity
-A fair amount of options for optimizing picture, which is a rarity for this particular price point (although the bottom is falling out on prices for 40" and 42" LCDs)
-Once properly optimized, the power consumption for the TV is excellent for LCDs of the same size.
-Most importantly, 2006 NFL MVP Ladainian Tomlinson and Beyonce endorse Vizio.

Cons: -The picture is not as vibrant as some 1080p LCDs from Samsung or Sony, and I don't say that based on in-store viewings. In-store displays are set to appear bright and capture your attention under the fluorescent lights of the store.

However, you have to pay at least a 150-200 dollar premium for a similarly spec'd 37" TV set by those brands, and it would be difficult for nearly anyone to really see the difference.

-Vizio-endorsee Ladainian Tomlinson apparently watches his TV with his visored football helmet. Maybe his Vizio is way too bright.

Other Thoughts: I am glad to see Newegg starting to offer Vizio TV sets. I purchased this set in June 2009 from a certain discount department store which will remain nameless. Over the last few years, Vizio has consistently offered the best value for the money.
