1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy Refurbished

Pros: Great Picture, that's why I'm giving it 1 star.

Cons: The sound fluctates all the time and the tv shuts down every now and than.

Other Thoughts: I own 2 other Vizio tv's and they work great, but I purchased them new. I'll never buy another refurbished product from newegg, 30 days just isn't enough warrenty time for a refurbished product. Lesson learned.

1 out of 5 eggsVery disappointed

Pros: It was the model it claimed to be and it functioned somewhat. Newegg took good care of me on the RMA.

Cons: It had a 4" round dark spot on the screen, the remote control had several of the buttons stuck down, the base was marked up very badly and didn't come with all the screws. It didn't look like a refurb at all to me. I'm used to refurbs being DOA machines that the factory fixes, and that's what other feedback reviewers said theirs were like. This one appeared to have a lot of miles on it, and I can't believe anyone checked it before it was put in stock. It was repackaged shoddily--one of the corner styrofoam pieces was obviously from some other product! What a waste of time. I have lost faith in Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Awesome

Pros: All in all this seems like a great purchase. The box showed up very beat-up and ducked taped which had me worried though the TV is self seems brand new like other reviews have said. There are some light scratches on the base but that does not bother me.

Cons: Part of the base (on the TV, which is for looks only) is plastic and broken during install. It is not noticeable once installed. Also I only received two screws for the base but it has 4 holes ( a quick trip to a hardware store will fix this).

Other Thoughts: More features than I was anticipating (the SRS TruVolume is nice). Using this as a HDMI monitor in a duel set-up.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV

Pros: Sharp picture, beautiful colors, lightweight, perfect size for a master bedroom or small living room, 4 HDMI inputs, nice sized remote that's very easy to use, and it's a Vizio.

Cons: For me to honestly list a con for this TV, I would have to resort to nitpicking. So, no cons for me.

Other Thoughts: I have to agree with some of the other reviewers who stated that this TV came out of the box looking brand new. Mine does not have a scratch on it and if it wasn't for the lack of instructions and no batteries for the remote, you would never know that this was not brand new right from the store. I am VERY VERY happy with this purchase and for $269 I feel like I got a steal! If this becomes available again on Newegg, I'll buy another one (or two) as gifts.

4 out of 5 eggsUsing as computer monitor

Pros: Replaced a 19in + 17in dual monitor setup that included 5+ year old monitors.
Using for a computer via HDMI and Xbox360 via component. Image is clean with no artifacts or tearing. Low heat output even after hours of use.

In my living room, I use a 5 year old 42" VIZIO. At the time, the VIZIO LCDs would claim 1080i, but in reality would be running 1366x768 max resolution. 1080i content was compressed to fit, which made the image look a little strange until I figured it out. Anyways, this TV is running 1920x1080 as a computer monitor and 1080p when I am using the Xbox360. Picture looks great!

Cons: The ambient light sensor was turned on out of the box and exhibited some strange behavior. I kept noticing the VIZIO logo would get dimmer over time, then suddenly return to 100%. It was really distracting to have the logo light up like the sun out of nowhere until I figured out the cause and turned off the ambient light sensor in the menus.
I ran with the lights off to rule out the possibility of it being the lighting in the room. Since I am sitting about 5 feet away, the only other explanation I could think of is that the light from the screen is reflecting off of me and messing with the sensor. My unit was also a refurb, so it's out of the question that the sensor is just bad.
Deducted one egg, not because I care if the sensor works or not, but to draw attention to a fix to a potential problem that others may experience.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Picture Quality from a LCD

Pros: Refurbished? What are they talking about? Like the other reviewers said, mine also appeared to be “New in the box” and does not at all seem refurbished.
Not a scratch or scuff, and all the proper packaging materials and plastic wrap were in place, like an unopened item would be.
Sound is great, and picture quality is like you would find on a more expensive LED model.

If you are thinking about purchasing a good deal, don’t hesitate and get this one before they are gone!

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsSeems Like a Winner

Pros: Seemingly Brand New Condition.
Excellent specs for the price.

Cons: No real Warranty, Exchange only.

Other Thoughts: Just got this TV and I agree with the other reviewers that the TV is in basically brand new condition with all the original packaging and plastic protection strips. Picture and sound quality are excellent IMO. Basically it's everything it says it is and at a great price to boot.

5 out of 5 eggsGood TV

Pros: Bought this as a bedroom TV. Box arrived in a very timely fashion.

I wasn't expecting a broken unit, but seeing as though it was refurbished, I was expecting a couple of scuffs or scratches and maybe a dead pixel or two.

Upon opening, I found that it was just like new, with good packaging and plastic protectors covering it.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap, quality replacement unit.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsWow! I'm Impressed

Pros: - Amazing picture for an LCD TV (much better than my recent 42" 1080p LG).
- Perfect size for an old 32" CRT opening
- Plenty of inputs... mainly the 4 HDMI
- Menu system easy to navigate
- No audio problems using TV speakers or otherwise

Cons: - I find it slow to turn on and bring up an image
- No other audio outs besides an optical out
- Some may find the glowing VIZIO logo annoying

Other Thoughts: Received this refurbished product in two days (came from NJ). TV looked brand new, it still had all the plastic protection on it and nary a scratch. No messed up pixels.

Very happy with this purchase and I will seriously look into buying Vizio again.

Note: alot of reviews on forums etc state that they've had problems with audio such as drop outs or breaking up. Have not had that problem... maybe that is why it is recertified? Therefore I'd recommend this TV to anyone.
