Vizio 42" 1080p 120Hz 3D LCD HDTV E3D420VX, Includes 2 3D Glasses

Pros: Its big, it's light. The picture is excellent. The internet apps work well. The Hulu app lags a lot. Other than that everything performs as expected.

Cons: My TV came with four areas of dead pixels. They're right in the middle of the screen. They're only really noticible when the screen is black, but they're annoying just the same. I contacted Newegg for a possible replacement but they were out of stock. It's the gamble you take when you buy refurbished, I suppose.

Pros: Cheap, many features

Cons: Cannot get 3d blueray players or Ps3 to recognize TV as a #D device, therefore cannot watch 3D Blue Rays

Pros: -light as a feather
- passive 3D, so glasses are cheap and "real 3D" glasses from the movie theater will work.

Cons: -if your using an app (internet or local) and the tv goes off, you have to start from the beginning, eg. if watching a youtube video, or a video from usb, you can't pause it and resume later if you turn the tv off.

Other Thoughts: Overall, for price versus quality, this tv is awesome. There are better TV's, however for a lower end, cheap TV this blows away all competition. It is far cheaper than any TV you will see with the same specs anywhere! I paid $498 including taxes and shipping which is about the price I would have paid for any other 1080p lcd without 3D or smart technology. Bottomline is, if you don't have tons of money to waste and are looking for a new TV, buy this one. I highly recommend it.

Pros: Awesome clear and sharp picture with bright, vivid colors, built in WIFI, 1080p, 3D!!, 3 HDMI connectors, low price for the features.
Fast WIFI, even on wireless G from another room it streams HD 3D content from Hulu with no problems.
The "theater" effects, AKA smoothing, are fairly customizable and doesn't produce an artificial looking picture. That being said, I've still disabled mine.

Cons: The apps are not great. Hulu is the one I mainly use, and it's ok, but the whole app interface is weak in general, hard to maneuver, poor selection of apps.
The vertical viewing angle of the 3D is small. In fact, if you are lower than the horizontal plane, don't plan on watching 3D at all. If it's mounted on a wall, you'd have to point the TV down so you are looking at it straight on. Even then there are still some "bleeding artifacts" (not sure of the term) where one eye can see ghosts of the content meant for the other eye.
There is not option to browse shared content on the local network. I know LG has this feature.
There is no web browser.

Other Thoughts: This is probably a problem with my DHCP server, but the IP address it picked was one already used by the network. I had to set it manually. Not a big deal, but confusing at first.
Also, this is probably standard, but it doesn't let you customize your audio input. So, you can't do HDMI (video only) and audio from the RCA jack. Again, probably completely normal which is why I didn't put it as a con, but I was wondering about this before I bought it.

ALL IN ALL: A great TV for the price. Packed full of beautiful features for significantly less than other TVs in its class. Be warned of the limitation of Vizio apps.

Cons: My refurbished tv stopped working after 6 months (tv wouldn't receive hdmi signal). A repairman came out and changed out the motherboard (I purchased a 2 year extended warranty thinking it would protect me from a lemon). Three months later the same thing happened and now they say there isn't enough left in the contract so they are sending me a check for $175 and I have a worthless tv on my hands... After less than a year of use.
I have gone back and read the warranty and they followed it to the 'T'. The lesson here is DON'T EVER BUY REFURBISHED ELECTRONICS FROM NEWEGG! They can sell you a lemon, fix it once, then send a check for a fraction of the cost when it breaks down for good. I have learned my lesson about buying from Newegg which is "DON'T BUY FROM NEWEGG".

Pros: Purchase because of the spec it had. Awesome quailty.

Cons: same-day delivery was quick for $60.

Other Thoughts: unit did not came as described in the detail description and image. would like to get the correct tv. I message newegg but no response yet.

Pros: Came well packaged, just like brand new and was delivered like expected, a little bit late after christmas though..., but it is hands down the best TV I have owned and will suit you!

Cons: non whatsoever!

Pros: I have been looking for a 3D tv for my PS3 . Not only is it amazing with my ps3 when watching tv programs I was amazed on the picture quality , WOW , very nice and clean picture for the price . And Newegg was very quick on shipping it . If you are looking for a great 3D Tv for a great price I would suggest This TV . I am very please with my Vizio 3D tv .

Pros: I love 3D movies on this TV. Broadcast TV and streaming netflix, hulu is good too.

Cons: 2 pair of 3D glasses were used and there were a coupld of scrub marks in the back of the TV

Other Thoughts: I was nervouse about buying refurbished tv online because you really couldn't physically exam it, but I took chance and glad that it turn out good. 3D pictures are amazing and I use the 3D glasses I got from movie theater with it and it work fine. There were a coupld scrub marks on the back of the TV but the front is perfect. I'm glad it work out for me.

Pros: The display quality is great. The Smart TV apps work well. Did not appear refurbished, it actually appeared brand new. For the price, this was a great buy and couldn't be beat during Black Friday. The OS is pretty fast and easy to navigate through. The remote control/keyboard is great and easy to use.

Cons: It does take around 20 seconds to turn on but that doesn't bother me too much. The sound could be better but its still alright. Other than that, I can seem to find any other problems.

Other Thoughts: For the price, this TV was eggceptional. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
