Good, Not Great
Pros: Cheap. There was also a rebate which made it cheaper. Got to me a day after ordering it.
Cons: Definitely not as crisp or as pretty as my 37" Vizio that has an IPS (10-bit display), however the Vizio and JVC 47" displays that have IPS panels were $200+ more expensive.
Other Thoughts: I'm keeping my 37" in my office and the wife & kids have the 47" one. They're happy, so I'm happy. I got this as a refurb and it was packed very well -- and a big truck dropped it off. That latter part's important as the TV wouldn't have fit in my car.

Volume Cuts Out
Pros: nice picture
Cons: volume cut out within 30 minutes of setting up TV for the first time.
Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for.

Pros: Great size; awesome picture.
Cons: The volume cuts out for half a second pretty often. I'm talking like at least 16 times a minute. Makes watching pretty unbearable.

Good Overall TV
Pros: Excellent picture quality
Cons: Only two HDMI inputs
Other Thoughts: Both the E470 and E471's are good TVs. Lots of great reviews. I bought mine refurb through another website 7 months ago. The main board died after having it for 6 months. Vizio wanted 290 for the repair and the avg 3rd party was around 275. I ended up shipping out the mainboard to a 3rd party for repair which only costed 100 dollars but thats doing all the labor myself.
