Haier 7" Portable LCD TV HLT71

Pros: The TV is very portable, and has a beautiful display. The rechargeable battery makes it economical to use anywhere. If only it would pick up some stations indoors, it would be the perfect TV to use in emergencies.

Cons: It will not pick up a single station indoors where I will need to use it during hurricane season.

Other Thoughts: This TV would be handy on a boat or camping trips, or for evenings on the patio.

Pros: Great picture, low price,works best with amplified antena or near window., has stereo speakers great sound does what my samsung hdtv for reception, great kick stand and view angles.

Cons: Some commercials do not auto adjust full screen ( who needs them anyway)

Other Thoughts: Great refurb price. Battery had a puff of air in it and back would not close right without bulge. I used a pin to put a tiny hole in bag then bled air out and taped with 3M tape. battery ok then.

Pros: Lightweight

Cons: Would not receive any channels. Unit arrived defective and innoperative.

Other Thoughts: Device was worthless.

Pros: I like this TV I like the size.
The TV was shipped.

Cons: waisted more than an hour with newegg.com to resolve the problem, i was told a replacement will be shipped when they receive the defective TV, then they issued a refund which i did not ask for, i want a replacement after all that waisted time chatting and standing in line at UPS to return the package and trying to see why the remote is not functioning. (The remote itself is working however, the TV remote sensor is not working)

Other Thoughts: newegg, when you issue an RMA for REPLACEMENT then a replacement unit should be put a side, do not tell me sorry we sold out and over me a $10, i am not after your $10, i want what we agreed on and i ahve a copy of the chat. This is it for me shopping at your store.

Pros: it works as expected. great price before taxes and shipping.

Other Thoughts: i haven't had regular tv so when i scan for channels, i'm totally lost. it picks up some HDTV channels but i dunno how to get the regular channels.

Pros: It worked straight out of the box and picks up most of the available digitally broadcast stations in the D/FW area on a smallish amplified antenna I attached to it. Using it in my camper and for backup TV in case of electrical outage.

Cons: Powering on with the remote control is sluggish as the unit takes a good 3-5 seconds it seems to 'boot up' before you see the initial screen.

Other Thoughts: Would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the 'Con' I noted..... Again.... It is, what it is.... A small, cheap digital TV....

Pros: Cheap, small, easy to understand controls, comes with a lot of accessories. I live in Columbus, OH and out here the TV signals are pretty strong, and the included antenna can get channels fine as long as I'm near a window.

Cons: Very low resolution (480 x 214), speakers are weak, antenna is not that great. I had a scare on the first day when after an hour of use, the screen went white and all I could get was sound. I let it sit overnight and it was fine the next day. I kept using it for a week straight and the problem has not reoccurred.

Other Thoughts: Remote control that came with it did not work. I called Haier and they said that they do not manufacture this model anymore, and they could only offer a refund. I don't think I could find another TV for this price, so I'll just live without the remote.

I bought this TV for tornados and football games when my wife drags me out of the house on a Sunday afternoon.

Pros: This is the greatest little battery powered TV that I have seen for the price. I was surprised at the quality of the case and controls for the cost. I was really not expecting much for the low price, but wow what a pleasant surprise I received out of the box. I have been using it for almost a week now and have had no problems. Just a neat little TV for emergencies or everyday use!

Cons: I wish they had included some sort of zipper case to protect it when carrying it around.

Pros: Except for package being a bit beat up, it was just like new. Reception by source: built-in telescoping antenna: 3 stations to 7 miles; Indoor "V" antenna: 5 stations to 25-30 miles; Cable: 100+ channels. Color settings, etc. were good out-of-the-box.

Cons: Telescoping antenna works for close stations only.
Volume varies widely between different signal sources. The on/off switch is pretty cheap, but with a remote, that is a possible problem only for those who will be using it a lot with the battery, and turn it off to save battery life.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as a Kitchen TV for the Wife. Just happened to have cable handy at a perfect spot, so we're getting over 100 channels. Max. volume is much better using cable. This may be because my cable is on an amplified splitter. Not surprising they sold out at this price!
