2 out of 5 eggsOfficial TV of the NBA

Pros: Big cheap LED

Cons: Dark scenes in movies and the darkness turns blocky and purple

This is suppose to be the official tv of the NBA and the sound quality is HORRIBLE...cant have it over 35 on the tv volume without it crackling

unfortunately i was out of town and didnt test it properly before the newegg return policy. Now to contact HAIER to see if they can do something with this defective unit

5 out of 5 eggsAll around great TV

Pros: Absolutely beautiful picture and great sound. I've had this TV for 6 months and never had any kind of issue. Full featured with tons of inputs made setting this TV up a snap. I've recommended it to all of my friends, two of which, purchased the same one (and they love theirs too)

Cons: Only thing I wish it had would be 120zh, but then again I didn't want to pay for 120hz which I didn't.

4 out of 5 eggsBang for Your Buck 46 " LED

Pros: - Very nice screen
- Affordable price
- Easy to use menu for adjusting color options

Cons: - Bad sound (due to the fact that the speakers face downward... no idea why they made it like that)
- 120 Hz refresh rate is shady b/c when I turn it on, the images become sometimes blurry and unbearable
- Haier TVs are usually known for its cheap construction

Other Thoughts: All in all, I was initially very disappointed that I purchased this TV because of the lack of features and ridiculously bad audio. But in comparison to other 46" LEDs (bought it for $598 on Newegg's Black Friday sale), this TV was a great purchase. After I hooked up my Bose Companion III speakers to the headphone jack, the audio problem disappeared and I have been enjoying my TV for a solid week now. Yes, you can spend the extra $200 - $500 for a TV with more features such as improved speakers... but in all honesty, the TV works solidly and is great for the price. Bad audio is an easy problem to fix and should not be the be-all and end-all reason for not buying this tv.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Big, inexpensive.

Cons: Plain Vanilla TV with no extras. TV picture is sub-par. No matter what you do in the settings, the picture remains with too much red saturation. Faces are too red too often. Sound is horrible, even for an LCD TV. Moreover, there's way too much ghosting and the whole screen pixelizes at certain screens where color/texture changes suddenly. Mine came with a bump on the upper frame that bent the frame & back-casing. I don't believe this had anything to do with the bad picture or horrible sound however.

Other Thoughts: This was to replace my 40" Phillips LED TV. Compared to the Phillips, this TV reminded me of an old CRT TV, and not the good ones!

3 out of 5 eggsWish I had more information.

Pros: This tv is very slim. I think that is a very good thing if you wanted to hang it on the wall. The LCD is very bright and it pretty much lights up my entire room. The multiple HDMI are nice but might be considered worthless if you read my other thoughts. I've connected this to my laptop with HDMI out and was able to get pretty high resolution and watch films and other things right there. I don't really understand this 60Hz/120Hz thing yet. I don't know if it's just somethign the tv does, or it's actual the resolution. Connecting this to an HD TIVO, i was able to watch their "intro" videos very nicely. This tv appears to show the details very clearly and bright. Features seem to have ZOOM which works fine when needing to crop out black squares (non hd broadcasting). TV uses very little power so not much else to worry there. I may rate this tv higher once i fully get my HD setup finished.

Cons: The audio is pretty bad, and not useable. If I would have known that it was this bad I may ahve decided to go with a different television. Also I have not been able to find many devices that work with COAX digital audio. I'm currently waiting on a stereo system. Also for some weird reason you can't "turn off" the speakers. So some devices using the headphone jack may or may not turn off the tv's speakers. This may not be a possible solution.

Other Thoughts: This is a pretty good screen. That being said like myself I'm planning to use TIVO to change my channels and view HD tv. I would not recommend this if someone wanted a tv for stand alone use. You almost have to have better stereo system that doesn't use the TV's inputs, and it's nice to have a cable box so you don't care about slow channel changing. This comes to my point of 3 HDMI ports sort of being a waste because I'm just playing to be using my sound systems ports for switching between different HDMI inputs.. So what's the use?? Not a bad tv, but don't get it if you don't want to buy extras.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Big
Works fine
One of the cheapest led tvs out there

Cons: Horrible sound quality
Slow tv

Other Thoughts: The sound quality sounds like if you put a phone on speaker. It's that bad. Id pass on this tv. Getting a good brand name is worth the extra money.

1 out of 5 eggsBad stay away

Pros: NONE

Cons: 1) The sound is so horrible you can't use it. My cell phone on speaker phone mode has twice the sound quality.
2) The picture is not that great for and LED and I don't believe it has true 120Hz. The picture has motion blurs and judders so bad you don't want to watch it.

Other Thoughts: I cannot believe ANY company would put out a TV this bad.

4 out of 5 eggsNice for the price

Pros: Sleek, slender, The picture is amazing with the 120hz turned on the blue ray movies. Games look great, for the price a great tv. No blatantly obvious manufacturing issues thus far. BUT.....

Cons: The sound is absolutely terrible. THERE ARE NO RCA OUTPUTS! Only inputs. I was able to manage getting sound through my stereo system via the hd cable box(had rca jacks), but the ps3 however presented another issue.. To make it short, i had to buy rca to 3.5 stereo jack.. The only output for audio on the tv was the head phone jack and that's what i used to get the sound to my stereo to use for my ps3. Annoying but it works.

Other Thoughts: For the price its a great buy, be sure you have a stereo system cause the sound on the tv is horrid.

4 out of 5 eggsbeautiful screen, needs sound system

Pros: clear picture, color seems awesome from black to white, cool-bluish/warm-redish/normal option, options for to tweak your own setting, Energy star tag says $19/year normal cost which is extremely low due to LED, It gets the job done.

Cons: basic remote, poor sound--get a sound system you know you want one.

Other Thoughts: at the price it's a good value, if you set up your tv then just watch it without constant adjustment this basic HD tv is for you.

2 out of 5 eggsJust OK

Pros: Cheap. "HDTV for everyone"
good picture. better picture than TV's in the price range.

Cons: -Slow to change channels.
-QC at Haier needs improvement.
Dead pixels.
Some of the glossy finish on the bezel came off when removing the clear plastic. (the finish coming off is absurd in my opinion)

Other Thoughts: I do not own this TV. but I do own the 42" (LCD, 60hz)

My advice: do not buy a Haier product unless you pay less than 50% of the retail price.

Overall I am happy with my purchase... got a square trade warranty since I cannot trust this brand.
